Surely an auditor can’t sign off a going concern on the basis of 160bopd from 1 well with a tax dispute holding up income in any case?

Surely those of you who insisted it would produce MULTIPLES of 200bopd should be the ones who are disappointed? I picked up the backing away from the sandscreen fix in the March RNS so had some reservations about the fix, but you’ll have seen (even) I expected an increase from 200bopd. Yes that’s a fair challenge, they did say they’re looking into it. Well beyond my knowledge to know how expensive that might be and the likely increase but either way it’s a fair call out.

Equally, hopefully you’ll accept that the 160bopd was extremely disappointing and the much touted sand screen was seemingly no longer an option.

Those who were confident and vocal of the production increasingly multiples of 200bopd should be most disappointed - but that’s not really how the reality plays out. Abzzba for example called it a solid update.

I think the equally bad news was Heron1 going from 200bopd with an expectation of an inexpensive fix to 160bopd and no mention of a plan to improve it.

As I said that was the equivalent of a very bad Trading update, especially as it’s the only revenue stream.

I definitely don’t know it should work - but I expect the 3 parties who negotiated and approved the contract (MATD, PC and the Mongolian authorities) should certainly know.

Final point - you appear very emotional about things here - you usually send off a machine gun flurry of posts, as if you can’t wait to press post and then a minute later think of something else cutting and post again etc.

From memory, MB said part of the reason for the Gobi drill (when resources might have been better directed to producing Heron wells) was to not to give away upside potential to a purchaser.

Presumably whatever PC or anyone else was prepared to pay previously, it’ll be less after the results of H1 and H2, with Gobi being at best uncertain.
