The company is still awaiting payment for the oil it produced in October. The buyer took 3 months to sign an agreed contract, only to then realise the agreed terms hadn’t infact been agreed because there was a tax dispute. So I wouldn’t characterise PC as a good source

Big Brave Billy - if you’re not bothered by a potential raise why so prickly about people discussing it.

I think it’s important because firstly it will secure the company’s short term future. But the downside is it’ll almost certainly be at a big discount to the S0 and drag it down further.

@kwok I think it’ll be for a much smaller amount than that. I reckon something like $4m, largely badged as allowing the company to carry out further work on H2 / Gobi / Gazelle to move the company forward. Basically they need to prove up the potential before getting a decent JV / buy out.

The alternative is no raise because a buy out is coming imminently, in which case holders will do very well from these levels.

Like almost everyone here (apart from Abzzba), I’m not an expert on tax levies in this scenario. But I do know we were told the specifics of the deal had been approved by MRPAM. How odd there’s now Fear Uncertainty and Doubt about what tax is applicable, by who and when.

Similarly, how odd that the entity that took 3months to sign a deal might have found a further excuse for the delayed payment.

You and I might have different views on whether that release confirming reduced production, no plans to improve it and no payment was bad news.

I’m pretty sure they also described the company as fully funded for growth. And then the company announced they were instead focussing on reducing expenditure as unable to fund their own development.
