While I didn't expect the SP to shoot up on that news I still topped up again at under 12.5,,p. These remain bargain basement prices for anyone prepared to hold for the longer term. Drill news from Dupax and/or Nicaragua updates will give us the next leg up.

I am looking for a top up today. A minor set back that's all.

There are a number of nervous investors around. As well as domestic worries the world is still very unstable. It would be useful for a geographic breakdown of UK’s MTL investors to understand where the sells are based. Many people in the UK are taking money from shares in anticipation of bad news in late November’s budget in hitting investments, dividends and ISAs, combined with new ways to relieve us of our cash. Maybe some of this money is going into gold bars/coins and precious metals, less taxing jurisdictions, or even out of sight under the floorboards and art/antiques.

It remains very frustrating that our undervalued MTL shares seem not to rise to the levels they deserve. As ever, patience is required but I am still hopeful of near 20p by Xmas if DB gets his ducks in a row by cheering the market.

In actual fact Tice's discussion was not overly political it was more about how to push the UK economy into growth rather than decline. As an investor in UK stocks it is worth listening to successful businessman rather than party hacks, most of whom have not lived or worked in the real world.

Do we think that Elliot has had any impact on the SP. Or is the improvement in BP SP due to normal market reaction? Discuss.

I think Reform energy policy is exactly as required. Scrap Net Zero and invest in the North Sea. There would be opposition from the usual suspects for fracking but it needs to be locked at. Reform is highly supportive of business, unlike the other parties.

You forgot the net zero scam and that our energy (and Greggs,) is the dearest in the world.

I prefer to take a holistic view of my investments and their future worth.
