The short termism of some punters at the expense of long-term interests has been commented on this board on a number of occasions. This quick fix small profit mindset is of course not confined to MTL, it can be seen on other shares. A read of social media and ordinary everyday conversations will reveal that it is a component part of the unwillingness to explore, investigate and explore topics or ideas. Far easier to ask someone else or believe sound bites and uninformed commentators on the TV, the Internet, or more recently the computer program that is AI.

Me too Surry. A very mixed set of figures. I topped up today at 12.35 but can't see my trade. but then I don't know how the MMs operate. I agree that Drachs are topping up when they can especially Wednesday late on when 6 million shares were bought.

As long as we all remember why we bought into MTL in the first place, look at the overall picture in the months ahead and do not succumb to bouts of panic selling on tiny bits of news.

Precious metals, new metals and tech are beating retail UK stocks. Not to mention the anti business vibes emanating from the Labour Government. I'm leaving off some UK stocks until after the next election. I still have some CARD but have reduced .
