As for how they can remove dividends from the personal tax allowance, well they are stressing that ‘working people’ will be redefined.

People who earn income from dividends aren’t working. So it depends how they define the use of the personal tax allowance?

Fleccy (or anyone else) do you think Labour will redefine working people by making dividends ineligible for the £12750 personal tax allowance ?

Also do you think they will scrap IHT nil rate band , meaning a couple can hand over £650,000 or will they increase the basic allowance to off set nil rate band scrapping?

It’s getting as it’s not worth working unless it’s easy money as Labour want to take it off us and give it to someone else.

What’s the point in low income earners saving to provide . Not everyone earns a packet who has savings.

They want to keep plebs working and to do that you keep them poor.

I bought £1250 at 175p when ceo was sacked. Wish I’d slung more at this .

I wouldn’t be throwing good money after bad here if you don’t understand what you’re doing . Which reading the comments there’s a few doing just that.

Glad I only put in £1500 at 180p and had dividends. I may put more in in future, but unlikely.

Don’t vote . They say vote or spoil your paper . So the option they hate is not voting at all. That’s the best option .

Targeting pension and pension contributions isn’t going to help the stock market.

They should have been relaxing rules on contributions while forcing pension funds to stay in Uk shares. Instead they let them leave the country and now they want to hit employers with tax on pensions to fill budget gaps.

Employers and employees will pay in less to pensions so the spiral gets worse.

Imagine telling people pensions are good as they aren’t part of your estate, to later include them in your estate and take 40%. If that happens , any remaining benefit to investing or trust in Uk policy is gone. I’m not even in the affected group but can see the issues.

Mismanaged country. Both tories and going forward Labour will mess up further. There won’t be much growth.

Anyone reinvesting their dividend?

I should be ok as just checked and only £500 profit outside isa . My main holding outside isa is BT group so hopefully I can Bed and isa that in the new tax year before any great rises (if I’m lucky they rise!)

If I’m up £3000 would I be best to sell and rebuy before the new tax year?
