My original post was an obseravtion about the level of the share price today (and since the last News).
To date there HAS been insufficient firepower! that is a fact as the share price is below the recent highs.
Of course new investors will move the shareprice upwards but IMO only after another "Catalyst" of good news.
Again to underline my point I would know that because the Shareprice peaked at 20p and is now bid 13.8p.
This isn't up for debate, it is a fact.

If the science is the catalyst, since the science has not changed or gone away how do you explain thefall in the SP. the science is a constant (if not expotentially mproving).
Surely a catalyst is something that generates a shock or interest that moves the share price. That catalyst will be news (provided by the science).
Lets see the start of a trial for Covidity. that'll be a catalyst, just watch the share price move!

Given Scancell has been around for quite a long time, what could be the catatlyst for new investors at the moment? There may well be new investors around but demonstrably with insufficient firepower to keep the share price above the levels attained earlier this month.
I'm not sure I am being dismissive, the share price supports my argument.
However, news of significance is likely to attract new investors who will surely be tempted by the immediacy, new information and possibilities for capital appreciation.
Lastly, if you do know of as yet uninvested buyers who have yet to acquire their holding give them a nudge and we can all smile together, safe in the knowledge that nobody will be missing the boat as we await an update (interims?) on all things Scancell. Do not forget though that getting them in now will potentially reduce the potential for upward movement when the News we await hits! we need new money, but the Market will help us in that as and when the company announces successes.
I say this as my opinion, so DYOR .

Many of those who kept buying after the two raisers last year and have not sold any to take profit will dobtless be waiting for the News that Investors hope for here.
That means that in most cases there is nothing more in the pot to buy and keep the SP aloft.
There are some here who maintain that they do nothing but buy (and in significant amounts), but either they do not have enough appetite or cash at these levels so however much they might think they can hold the SP up they patently cannot.
Ego trips aside, the only thing that can be done is to patiently await the news that we hope for.... and in the meantime the drift will likely continue.
Great news for those who sold some at higher levels and had the courage or experience not to grab at their first profit level seen. These are the people who are playing the Scancell "game" the best. There have been signals (particularly from the Charts) which gave some clues as to what would (and is) happening here.
I say well done to those who have (or are) profiting from the weakness.
I am looking forward to the day when we get some positive news.
In the meantime I am patiently await developments which we hope will be a trigger for some new higher highs and that any such resurgence will be based from a higher base than we saw in early December. I think there's a good chance of that hope being fulfilled.

Ruck, Hasiba I take the view that the value here is unknown so speculation on unit price is just that ...speculation!
I believe the share price will ebb and flow in line with news on product development, progress on trials etc. and could be a day traders dream, if successfully guessing the highs and lows.
The real value will be when the products in the pipeline are actually approved and in production and properly commercialised / monetised, at which point we could be subject to takeover / merger or not, who knows, either way it is quite possible that some of us on here will become extremely wealthy.
This is not an intentional ramp, it is a belief I have based on logic which, btw, has not always served me well but my confidence in this is unshakeable...the only "unknown" for me is the timeline but I am a patient man."

Well said Kashdog. i agree that patience is a major factor in all this, and whilst I would really like to see news, it will only happen when it happens. Constantly writing that it must be due is a rather a pointless, if not annoying, occupation in my view. I see your post was on the 8th. Thus you are practising what you preach; Patience!

I guess the best i can say is to point you in the direction of the response your post previous to this thread elicited.
Difficult to know the best course of action to pursue, but that first post has now created four more non Scancell replies (including this)!
I do understand the relevance of Covid generally to Scancell BUT perhaps i'm merely saying that your post would be ok as an observation whereas others seem to want to have an argument with many things that most would leave well alone. Perhaps the discussion of Covid generally could be better made on a separate forum? Or maybe ANY politicisation of such discussions should be taken forward somewhere else? It really doesn't matter whether A did or didn't do anything, it is where we are now that counts? So if we ban landings from other countries that might well be good. Surely the discussion of when it was started by whom and how is for another place and has little to do with Scancell?
I always remember being told that it was unwise to discuss Religion and Politics at purely social gatherings. Maybe that would be good here?

If people cannot "discuss" the issues of Covid in a reasonable and and adult manner without the need for insults, maybe they could set up their own BB on LSE with an approriate topic heading. I say this so that those such as myself who would prefer to look at this BB for information on Scancell related issues (not the state of the NHS or the UK's handling of the Pandemic) do not have to read voluminous posts containing questionable conclusions, politically leaning comments and personal insults. There is enough of that in "discussions" specific to Scancell without having partisan fights on the broader Pandemic issue.
Comments and information on Covidity in this connection are valid.... In my view silly political comments are not.
I believe it is ok to voice my opinion on the BB, if not please let me know why.

Looking at the state of the BB and the volume in the market I'll suggest what gives is a complete lack of interest in throwing Scancell shares around at the moment. Not a lot to get your teeth into at present, so to everyone who has what they want in their holding, what's to do?
Heading into the weekend, maybe doing something else might be a good idea. I'm going to take the dog for a walk. Whether he likes it or not! LOL

As an observation, whilst it is good to see posts from other BBs being copied across to here, but shouldn't both sides of the arguments be posted?
Seems a bit tricky just posting only one part.
Since the whole discussion is available on the other BB wouldn't it be better for people to read that rather than put posters here to the trouble of cutnPaste all the time?

I don't know why but I thought that the out of control pandemic had virtually put paid to any realistic notion of trials for any of the Oncology products for the time being. Am I wrong?

I really don't want to get into an argument, but can you tell me how many potentially successful vaccine applications were turned down around the time that Scancell's was being considered?
I ask this wide question because I replied to you specifically about Scancell's grant which was in response to their own application.
Am I also right in assuming that you feel that the greater the grant the quicker Scancell's Covidity would be proved? I'm not sure that would be the case at all.
Do you also think that they shouldn't have ordered the Global supplies?
My problem is that I don't really agree that the costs and mistakes in the PPE issue have anything to do with the Vaccine development argument.

It seems to me that the Govt gave the £2.7M to provide a realistic funding to provide Scancell with the wherewithall to get their vaccine up and running. Why would they provide more funds than the amount (i believe) Scancell requested when until there is data there is no benefit to anyone? Scancell have the ball in their possession now so it is up to them to prove the concept and go back for more when they achieve their self set targets. Far from putting all their eggs in one basket haven't the UK GVT ordered from more than six companies already for Covid Vax?
In my opinion, I am certain Scancell will get all the funding they need once they can prove the product is safe and efficacious .
So I'm sure we don't have to worry too much about funding for Covidity in the appropriate circumstances.

I have sympathy with your comments in that managing expectations/fears/needs of the public in the environment that we find ourselves must be an almost impossible job given the rapidly changing "givens" and speed with which the basic knowledge chnges on an almost daily basis.
It is so easy to sit and criticise, a lot more difficult (and scary) to actually make the decisions, where in some cases the reality doesn't allow the whole picture to be presented.
I don't envy the Government the situation they've had to manage for almost a year now. Not an easy job at all in my opinion.

Kashdog, i completely understand where you're coming from regarding the deletions here. There is a plainly identifiable core/corps who will take exception to certain posters almost irrespective of what those posters' posts contain. On top of that there are some (not all) self proclaimed experts who have very little actual grasp of the basics and other aspects of the subjects upon which they pontificate.
The saddest thing is that over the last few months there has been even greater censorship by these posters as they have been able to have entire threads removed, but given your experience this morning perhaps that is being addressed. The "recs" that your (often removed) posts should be indicative of the support your views have, but they seem to hold little value in the context of the "policing" of this BB.
Keep posting Kashdog, from what I've seen there is obviously support for your views even though it is smothered by some who seem able to censor this BB. If that censorship is from Admin, maybe they might like to explain why your (Deleted) statements are so wrong when others can post such as,

"And I know differently and that you are also clueless. ATB" aimed at a specific poster.

The longer it all goes on the more helthy Doctors we'll need.

If they are do you think that a doctor should be tied to a vaccination site which by definition will be away from that of Covid care? Should the pandemic worsten (which seems likely) would it be a good idea to have a reserve of Doctors rather than putting them in a public facing position?
Do we know how many doctors are sick at the moment and what the takeup of the "unselected" medics is? By not putting the doctors as yet not selected in positions where they are not "Acutely" needed (when they might be needed in a couple of months time) not a sensible idea when their importance and effectiveness could be completely vital to the NHS a good idea?
Maybe i see more sense to the utilisation of the untapped supply of front line experienced doctors at a later stage in the Pandemic, or maybe it is poor NHS manpower management. Wouldn't it be helpful though if some of these as yet unused experienced doctors were there waiting if the NHS were to be brought to its knees or below later in this terrible stuation with the virus we as yet have no idea when it will actually be beaten? Or maybe we should get all our Experience out now and have absolutely nothing in reserve?

Look hasiba, i didn't understand how anyone could directly tie Vaccination Volunteers and Retired Medics into comments relating to people waiting for nine months since their application to "serve". And it is still a disingenuous connection by the Mail. I asked for your source and that was the most direct one for the argument. I stated that I didn't agree with it and suggested we let it drop. You then told me I was wrong.
Neither of us is wrong in that the statement from the mail could not be factually correct in that direct connection of doctors and Vaccine Volunteers. You may see from the NHS advert for VVs that they are specifically not looking for Doctors.

Yes, and I must say that the positive and practical approach displayed by Sir John (who was also very careful to downplay his part in the development of the vaccine in the round) suggested to me that he had quite a handle on the likely production upscaling possibilities). The frustration we all share with the well known NHS beaurocracy is palpable. When pressed he seemed quietly able to support the concept that the target of 30M (?)vaccinated by easter (first week in April) was a good possibility. Certainly encouraged my outlook for 2021. His optimism for the ability to refine a vaccine to cope with future mutations within weeks was also a big takeaway for me.
If it doesn't work like that is fair enough, but anyone else reckon they know how to do it better?

Not so, the vaccine wasn't available in April last year and so as I mentioned earlier they were in for work as DOCTORS.
