Agree with your comment that you can hold shares in a company, not trade them, continue to hope for success and still have reservations about the way the company's direction is being steered; or even the outlook for the products, quite apart from the Market's view of the shares.
Any Investor who has never thought, "Have I done the right thing?" by holding on probably doesn't exist (unless they've been very fortunate or find it difficult to confront and question their truth).
I suppose blind unwavering faith is one answer but then religions have tried to rely on that for centuries but eventually even the most Hard Line followers tend to question their faith if everything points to the doctrine being a little out of kilter with the real world.
I suppose that's where the Cults come from. Hiding themselves away refusing to accept reality and then resorting to ever more bizarre justifications for their own "Realities".
I can't see why anyone who holds Scancell shares can't sit down and openly discuss what could happen in the future without resorting to insulting those on the other side of the argument.
I think discussing's called enlightenment.
BTW Dracula, I hold Scancell and hope for the outcome Team Ramp Insist on expousing, although I would be very happy with any takeover which turns me a good profit.
GBP8 would be great, but I would be surprised (but in no way upset) if it were to happen.
But do I believe it will?
I wonder how many Team Ramp members actually BELIEVE that Scancell will provide them with a Multi pound Share Price. I don't but does that make me a bad person?

Don't worry, I completely understand that you don't need defending! It's possible to spot someone with confidence and the knowledge to defend their own position. I guess those who need defending stick together in a pack and rarely attempt to discuss anything that doesn't fit their own limited horizons or undersatnding.
Resorting to insults usually gives such posters away, whereas a discussion tends to achieve results, hopefully lasting understandings.

I have always wanted to understand why people think that not allowing alternative ideas is the way forward.
Most wars start because people are intolerrant of others' views.
Open discussion can frequently add to both sides understanding,

If the difference is as straightforward as that (and I assume Team Ramp will only post good news), but are you suggesting that Team Doom only post Bad news?
Given the Time v Shareprice graph (since 2012) it would seem that you actually concede that Team Doom (as you) put it have been correct about Scancell for (let's be generous) something over 80% of Scancells life on AIM (give or take).
As a result Team Doom appear to have been more successful in forecasting than Team Ramp and some of those members admit to trading (and presumably taking the Team Doom forecasts to make their profits - otherwise they wouldn't have sold).
How else could a leading poster here have sold at the top of the market (whilst simultaneously throwing insults at anyone who suggested that The SP could actually retrace).
Since many who frequent the imagined Team Doom have been banned from the LSE Scancell BB (presumably by protestations from Team Ramp) looking at things chronologically it seems that he who shouts loudest gets results (irrespective of whether the loudshouters have any basis to their shouting).
Not only that but Team Doom have been more than generous in being instrumental in having members of Team ramp restored to the BB even after they have been Banned by LSE by the vitriol in their own posts.
Overall Team Ramp might like to consider their position, in that anyting against the mantra that Scancell can do no wrong is shouted down and apparently "Good" whereas anything posted by the others is "Bad" and not to be tolerated.
Whilst things were ever thus the last few months have clearly not been in Team Ramp's favour simply because for the last six months or so the SP has effecrtively stalled, and Team Ramp have been telling anyone that will listen why the SharePrice shold be higher than 25P (since amended to 23p).
Eventually this will (I sincerely hope) come about, but Team Ramp appear to be so insecure in their faith that they try and silence Team Doom at every opportunity.
Seems so sad that they can't understand that there's always two sides to a market, and looking at the other side from the one that you occupy can often be more than helpful.
Takes all sorts, but shutting one's eye and covering your ears whilst shouting to blot out the other views is generally not a good way to read and understand a market.
Other views are available But rarely if ever on LSE!

I wonder if the issues some on this BB have with those who question the future or the progress of Scancell is to do with Objectivity.
Simply by questioning a strategy or maybe the reason/s why progress has not been made is seen as a "Bad" thing whereas finding the good in whatever has transpired here over the last ten or so years is labelled a "Good" thing.
The concept of anyone being invested in Scancell but questioning the future falls squarely in the "Bad" area.
Taking this simplistic viewpoint it seems that there is no room for anyone to have ideas of what bad might happen (or why some things that have happened in the past may not have been good.
As a result the BB is made partisan where those who question are somehow anti Scancell, but those who don't are "Lindy's Champions".
There are a number of others who are collectively described as "Doomies" or whatever and somehow they are outcasts and always to be sneered at or worse.
Seems strange that any group should be so concerned for "being right" that they find it necessary to "gang up" on anyone who suggests an alternative future for Scancell to the approved line that everything is wonderful, and the size of the holding/ability to shout loudest rather than the ability to question determines the value of comments dispensed to the BB readers.
It's always been a mystery to me how anyone posting anything that doesn't agree with the Party Line is somehow suspect rather tha providing an alternative view which bears reasoned discussion.
It may be to do with stress or maybe simply an inability to read, assess and keep an open mind.

Please don't get this wrong BUT what is being said about "feelings" that talks are progressing and picking through RNS to find "Clues" as to what's happening are all very well, BUT so far all the "feelings" and "interpretations" have been (in many cases) good on the science BUT dismal failures on the Commercialisation.
We know that we are rapidly heading into the second half of the RM/Vulpes tie up so maybe now is the time to stop having what WE think and try to find someone (as Krafty suggested) who actually KNOWS something about commercialisation of Biotechs.
Please don't take this as a negative against ANY posters here, but the Amateurs have had their chances. Maybe we could find someone who actually has EXPERIENCE of this sort of thing.

I understand what you say but according to this BB Scancell have been in talks with potential partners (all of whom can't wait to give us money to stop the opposition doing so) for ten years!

Surely we're in a vacuum now awaiting results on the trials for our IP?
OK there will be some who want to make a fast buck out of Scancell but IMO the driver for real trading opportunities will be success (Or failure) in Data.
I guess we're in the Phoney War now.
Some big players "keeping the peace" but I think we need to see how things develop before (Or perhaps just before) they happen.
Sit on your hands time maybe?

Unless someone can explain to me why not proritising the Trials and Data so generated is not a good way to proceed there seems little to be said until those Data are published.
Until then conjecture is all that is left to us as shareholders.
The AGM (Hopefully attendable in person this year) must give answers so (optimistically) we'll be moving towards P2 by then. I have no idea how long results from P1 will take to be produced but we do need to dose patients first.
Difficult to heap praise upon the progress so far, but it does look like we're inching towards near where we need to be.
I really hope that Scancell can rapidly gather momentum with proving their IP

I have no objection whatsoever to a secondary trial with needleless delivery (or anything else) if that would be an option, but in our rather precarious position I would implore the BOD to get into trial as soon as possible.
We NEED Data Data Data, otherwise I believe we become incredibly vulnerable the longer we progress with platforms which have yet to start trials when it is obvious that Scancell's IP is being woefully underserved by its BOD. It is a shame that our CSO is put in the position of having to operate as the CEO without the benefit of 12 the past months which from a planning and action point of view were patently critical for the company (given the funding route it has taken).
I sincerely hope we can rise above the rather uncertain outlook we have with only a little more than a year to complete what perhaps might have been accomplished already.
I say perhaps because it looks like we will have to wait for the AGM to really discover what's been going on.
Please let it be more positive than it seems at the moment.
One good thing, it's not long to wait (the AGM that is)!

Given the time constraints on Scancell to produce data I would hope that any trials ready to go should be progressed asap rather than delay for reasons that affect the timeliness of data production.
I believe that Scancell are in a race for time and data and nothing should get in the way of proving the safety and efficiacy of the platforms. NOTHING!

It seems strange that some followers of Scancell have failed to recognise the different animal that it has become in the last year or so.
The wild gyrations (in response to any RNS that was broadly positive) have ceased . Why?
Answering that question will lead those less experienced investors to the conclusions that are being drawn by those who have suggested that further significant releases of information will be required before the Market "recognises" what it wants to know.
It is a difficult situation now, because there are players that can happily swat those who think they can infuence the SP with mere cash. and claims of knowledge.
I guess that an investor who feels that he can change the direction of the SP is frankly, in the current situation completely deluded.
The SP will rise when some feel they will allow it. Until then all the bluster in the world will not allow it to happen.
The days of Scancell's SP being influenced by PIs has long gone.
It is fun to see the protestations of those who haven't realised what the changes are all about. Once they realise they have no influence on the SP in any way they will probably rest happier.
Sitback, enjoy the ride and be patient is a pretty fair way of proceeding from hereon in.
If the Data is right there will be rewards.
If not... well c'est la vie.

I rarely find myself agreeing with you, but the bid first thing was 20.45 it is now 20.22. The offer was 21.3 it is now 20.59.
Since the open the market is lower.
The market close last night was published as 20.7 the mid market is now 20.405.
Looks lower to me.
