More importantly the SA news has allowed us to return almost to the highs of last Friday!
There's a positive. Let's hope we get some more to continue North (or at least keep above the base of the trading range we've been in since 15th Feb this year), although someone traded quite a few below that level just before the CH announcement yesterday!
It's all good for keeping a bit of interest going!

i'm more intrigued to hear whether you think that Phizer will look to buyout Scancell to stop it from screwing their future business plan.
As with all investments it pays to look at all eventualities (however preposterous) , so when and at what level do you see Phizer bidding for Scancell?
It might help counter yesterday's news.

I'm amazed they haven't already done so given what you say, so I'm intrigued to hear how you see them stopping Scancell in its tracks.
Maybe they were instrumental in have CH ignominiously ejected (as a start in their plan to wipe out the opposition)?

I take it that you are suggesting that Pfizer are likley to make a bid for Scancell? What Share price level would you suggest would make them successful in any such action?

I see debate doesn't apply here, it's all about personality and perceptions of why CH departure means there's a deal imminent.
In the wider sense Katnick, "Just so utterly negative," I'll simply give you a link to the oft quoted source here of Investopedia for a general view of CEO departures and how it often affects sentiment.

It's not the be all and end all but gives insight as to why a well managed departure can be positive whereas a not well managed one is not clever.
As I say my last post on this but Uncertainty achieved by the Company's own RNS is not a glowing reference for either the BOD or the CEO who signed off on it.
A good CEO needs a specific skillset.
Simply being very good at the core area of the Company's business is not enough.
That's why I would like to see a Redmile Non Exec here.

The "fears" you so happily dismiss are evident in the Shareprice reaction to today's news.
LD was joint CEO for years until CH appeared. She must have been happy to step down and let him take over and therefore implicity involved in recruiting his "Talent".
As crumbs mentioned last night he was in the seat when RM and Vulpes arrived however their arrival occurred.
LD's contribution to Scancell are her magnificent technical achievements. I don't believe she is the natural CEO for this company since she has already done a stint in that capacity.
Yesterday's RNS spells uncertainty and anyone who understands the market realises that that uncertainty needs to be removed one way or another.
Finally I believe Scancell is weakened by (Even) CH's unexplained departure and if there were to be an offer for all or part of the business the value is now potentially lowered by lack of information as to the sudden departure of the CEO (who some say might have brokered the involvement of two hedge funds).
So do you think it is really OK for CH and his unexplained departure to be hanging over our heads. Gradually things like this start to smell (in the real world that is).

From what I see theis morning's RNS would have been worth a minimum of 2.5p onto the Shareprice (even the day before yesterday. Starved of news Scancell was ripe for this sort of glorious news.
But after yesterday's inept RNS (Sorry but which CEO agreed that release?) we have a net level SP ATM.
I believe until we get some sort of clarification to yesterday's news Scancell is a seriously weakened Company short term.
As was suggested yesterday maybe a Redmile/Vulpes related announcement re CEO would help.
I admire LD's scientific prowess (to put it mildly) but her reversion to CEO after her previous stint is sadly not a forward move in my view, UNLESS she is going to be a caretaker of the post which is not good but better than her permanent appointment.
Sorry, but that's my view.

If the departure of CH was so well managed why did he leave and why has not Scancell issues a RELATED RNS to explain?
The "well managed" departure will overshadow the Share Price until some form of explanation is issued to calm underlying fears which are evident this morning from the underwhelming response to a significant Civid Vax progress by a small Bio tech.
Your views would be appreciated (and perhaps you could embellish by explaining why CH departed, because I don't know.

Yes I know there's lots of money now but to ask again how was CH instrumental in getting it ? you seem to know I don't. i would say that I could wait for the latest update from Scancell but they're as rare as hens teeth.
So how did CH get Redmile on board?
If you don't respond I'll let it drop but please don't post comments that seem to have no substance.
He was CEO when Redmile Invested but what did he do to initiate that investment?

What exactly did CH do to secure Vulpes and Redmiles Investments in Scancell. You seem to know, I don't. Also if he was seriously involved at the coalface in securing those investors why would he go now.
As I have said earlier I don't know but you appear to have more information given your post in your 20.58,

I genuinely believe that Scancell owe us shareholders a serious update.
As I said earlier Scancell is no longer a little underfunded company with cosy AGMs where everyone slaps everyone else on the back and chats happily (but in the past ineffectively) over tea and biscuits.
We have now lost our CEO (for whatever reason and all we are told is that the CSO is now the CEO (as well?). Not even temporary. I do hope that this appointment isn't permanent. Again, i look for an explanation and pretty Bl**dy quick!

i take massive issue with your comment,

I thought everybody was aying that she's an R and D genius and that she is second to none in the Lab.
So why take her out of her area, there are many CEO material people who have the contacts and experience to commercialise the Scancell Tech.
Our CSO should not be the CEO. She was a joint CEO for years and nothing.
For heaven's sake we need an experienced CEO with a proven track record. Simply being passionate about "her baby" is a far cry from getting the "babies" to market.
It's quite simply horses for courses and Scancell is no longer the tiny underfunded operation it used to be. Let's get some proven talent working at getting the products sold!

Crumbs since noody knows what happened maybe they've got wind of a low ball offer and decided to plug the hole that allowed it to (possibly) happen.
It is simply not possible to work out what has happened here today, so my last comment is as good as anyone here can state.
