RE: Anniversary Celebrations !!17 Jun 2021 18:40
I am not really surprised about the reaction to my response to Dracula's post earlier.
The tenor of the responses I have had to mine are generally dismissive and in some cases mildly offensive
For one,
"AB, another poke at the Scancell BB , you do get confused easily"
I can assure you I am not confused or "poking" at the BB.
I did ask a question which nobody has answered. That question was,
"If anyone disagrees could they just tell me why they think as they do".
WeTookPelham did at least make some reference to mine which was,
"We can all speculate about the future, but we can't really speculate about the past, can we? It's already written. So, yeah, pointless, all IMO"
I'm sure he could develop what he meant, but noone was being asked to speculate about the past. As WTP says it's already written. BUT we can see what has happened since the lows and what has caused that recovery. We can judge what the effect of simply having new II with real money investing. What we can draw from that evidence is what is already priced in from the expectations that valid and conclusive data will provide. We can see that without a great deal of news how far the Share Price has held up and what value new investors place on the future (About 17p on a base of 3.5P).
From this we can decide whether the SharePrice is reflecting any disappointment with no new news (about 7.5p on a base of 28p) We can see where the likely resistance for new buyers will be should we get new news. and equally where we might see jitters creeping in should the new news not arrive. We can deduce where we might see support coming in should the new news not materialse over time. We can see how much patience the new investors might have should the Share Price react to varying levels.
From all of that above we can then start to deduce what might happen should certain events occur (vis a vis the historic share price).
The history may be in the past but the future may (or may not) result in some of the historic prices being revisited (as some already have. And people say there is no value in the Past Share prices?
I have written this without hearing any (apart from WTP's broadbrush brushoff of my point) replies to mine.
I haven't seen any other comments from those who I might have suggested as naysayers apart from a rather spurious,
"If you believe dracula has made a pertinent point then do please tell us what it is"
I believe Dracula's point is valid and thinking about what has happened in the past is a worthwhile embellishment of what might occur in the future.
I believe we ignore the past at our peril. It might just be worth considering whether we can learn from earlier mistakes/misunderstandings.
Maybe others might like to see whether they feel there is anything to be learned from the past or whether it is a pointless occupation.
Sometimes history is what shows us the way forward. surely we all want to learn from what others might have survived in the past? Or maybe not.
