Not my area of expertise TOF - but NCM have included it in their supporting statement so it must be an option they are looking at.

Exactly Stuart - the supporting statement that was unearthed says the following

An appropriate infrastructure corridor needs to be identified and a number of alternative methods to
transport ore from Havieron to the Telfer processing facility are being considered, including:
• Truck haulage;
• Conveyor;
• Rail; and
• Pipeline
Studies are underway to assess the suitability of the above modes of transport as well as the location
of the transport corridor. The location and mode of transport option will depend on the tonnages
required to be transported, the topography, environmental and cultural heritage considerations and
will be subject to all necessary permits and regulatory approvals.

Pipeline is an interesting alternative that nobody has discussed especially if they are going to grade and concentrate the ore at Havieron - they would just create a slurry and pump it to Telfer.

Interesting story happening overnight in Australia - Artemis and Metal Tiger have announced a "strategic investments" in the Thor mining placement to advance the "Ragged Range" prospect which is right next door to our Panorama tenement.

I've spotted a post on HotCopper from Black Cat (who is Ken Watson) where he reckons there is the possibility that the system in this area could be a similar type find to the one that DeGrey are currently drilling out in the Pilbara.

My Mam is from the Silvermines (not the village - just outside). I remember the company - they were called Tubex - but I thought their premises were in Portroe near the old slate quarries??

I was born and grew up in Nenagh - I had my first ever pint in O'Meara's hotel - a long time ago.

Busy all day yesterday and will be again today so I won't be contributing much - had a quick browse through the board and Twitter and it seems the GDXJ has gotten everyone in a tiz.

My take is that it is a good thing for GGP in the LONG TERM - I'm not bothered about how it affects the SP in the short to medium term but the extra exposure it gives us has got to be a positive for me.

I haven't read through all the posts so I don't know if this has already been posted but there is an updated September presentation available on the company website.

As far as I know the buying is usually done at the COP auctions on the Friday 18th but as the fund is US based I assume the GGP buying would be on the following Monday?? Maybe it will be at COP on the 18th here as well.

It will be an amount based on our weighting - I won't be working that out but hydrogen reckons about £22m - the amount of shares they buy will depend on how much our share price rises between now and then.

MS - Beetham probably sold out carefully and was managed by his broker to minimise damage so he could get the best price.

The GDXJ buy means - £22m worth of buys are going to land on the MM's desks at 8am on that Monday morning and they will keep buying until the orders are filled - it will be total carnage mate

Apparently Sandeep Biswas is in the frame now for the RIO top job now that the CEO there has had to resign over the scandal of blowing up the sacred Aborigine caves in the Pilbara.

That might change the dynamic between the two Aussie companies if it were to transpire - Paddy
