@greenmile - I don't think they will be issuing an updated resource in the results next week, I'd love to be wrong but I feel it would be too early for that. I'll be happy with more of the same with maybe a bit more definition on the Northern & Eastern breccias and that usual phrase - still open at depth.

It should be a very positive report - news on the start of the decline, plans for the growth drilling etc, etc.

Good morning all, sorry for not being able to contribute as much as usual over the past days but we are into the commissioning phase on our project at site now and free time during the day is becoming harder & harder to get.

I managed to listen to Magic’s video during my lunchbreak yesterday and along with some of the data supplied by Bamps and Gervaise’s words “we’re only scratching the surface” (Scallywag this time) then I am completely comfortable with where we are in our exploration efforts thus far.

It may turn out to be a duster or we may well be in the “alteration zone” of a bigger deposit but the one thing that nobody can deny is that we are in the right region – the results prove that there has been mineralising events in and around Scallywag – it’s now a case of trying to pin-point the sweet spot. Remember this is the first time in history that anyone has penetrated through the cover sequence at Scallywag and I’m sure the GGP geologists will be gleaning useful information from every inch of the drill cores and no doubt they will have been further helped by the most recent AEM survey also.

All in all, even though we didn’t quite intersect Havieron-esque intercepts there will be useful clues as to the next steps at Scallywag.

All the while – Newcrest/GGP have been quietly grafting away at Havieron and should now be removing top-soil in preparation to begin the development of the next Tier 1 mine in WA, the one that we will ultimately own 30% of. Personally I’m very comfortable with my continued investment in GGP and will still be here when either the end-game comes or we are producing oz’s from Havieron.

Just had a chance to listen to the Magictrades video at lunch break. Fantastic work as usual from him and explaining in simple English to us mere non-geological mortals.

Also - I missed all the posts that he refers to in his rant at the end of the video but I would like to thank him for his defence of me. I wouldn't like anyone to feel that I was responsible for people losing in the flash crash yesterday - as I've said on multiple occasions - please don't invest purely on my research or anyone else's advice. When I say "sit on your hands" that is what I'm doing - that doesn't make it the right course of action for everybody so please DYOR.

I can count up to 8/9 rigs working away - there seems to be a larger than usual white blob on the ground highlighted in the image in my Tweet. Not sure what it could be but worth watching out for on the next update.

@Hopefullygold - that is 100% the Havieron drill site in the last couple of minutes in that video. You can clearly make out the shape of the "V" where the two sand dunes meet and the site compound just to the North of that. Definitely early last year as there is no sign of the pathway that they bulldozed through the sand-dune to get to the decline area.

Nice video though and gives a real sense of the conditions these guys work in every day - they certainly earn their $100K out there in those conditions.

Just logged on after work and saw your message, my thoughts and prayers are 100% with you. It's almost a year since I could travel home to see my own parents and my Dad who is in a nursing home with dementia. Whilst it is not as dire as your situation as he is as well as can be expected, I can understand your feelings of despair and powerlessness.

Try to focus on the good times & memories and thankfully your brother can be there with her.

Hi @redleader1 - I'm not invested in Antipa so I don't study every release from them TBF. I think the release that I linked to in my Tweet shows the latest set of results they released of their AEM surveys. I don't think there is anything newer but haven't checked TBF - will be keeping an eye out for drill results though.

Morning all,

We may get some indication of the possibilities that lie in wait for us at Paterson Range East before we even move up there later in the year.

Tom the bomb noticed some "Skytem" survey images in a release by Antipa from August this year. There were some images from their targets down near Scallywag (Barbossa) and also their Grilla target up near PRE.

This was the area where we saw drilling in November last year - it was where we thought we had spotted GGP on route up to Goliath if you remember. I had previously mapped the holes into Google Earth.

I have now imported those images into Google Earth also and you can see where Antipa have drilled and how close this "bullseye" feature is to our targets at Atlantis, Prefect & Henryetta. I'm pretty sure that the Antipa campaign was pretty quick and they only did RC drilling up there so it would appear they would have only shallow drilled.

I will await the results of those Antipa drills with anticipation also.

What's all the panic about, pretty much back to where we started the week. I guess the great news from Newcrest was pretty much already priced in.

I think DM was referring to 6-8 weeks from the finish of drilling at the end of October. Obviously we are going to get the whole lot of the results in one big hit, we could have expected some of the results by now otherwise.

I'm not duly concerned about the delay - perfectly acceptable from the end of October and there might be a lot of collating of results going on as we speak.
I think the only thing that has people speculating was that GH said they might be with us just before or just after Christmas.

What an exciting couple of weeks coming up with the next set of Havieron results due and who knows what left-field news might drop? There are other drill result assays pending for Artemis at Nimitz and Antipa at Grilla that both will be interesting for us to see also.

The latest satellite image of the Paterson region is available today, a nice clear day with good visibility.

The drill rigs are back at it at Havieron this week - hard to make out exactly how many but I think 5/6 are probably working.
No sign of any major activity in the area where the box-cut is to be positioned yet.

A lot of people have said that next week is probably the week that things ramp back up after the summer holidays in Oz so hopefully we will begin to see progress there soon.

I doubt very much if any of the long termers are cashing in now when we know there is news any day - I'm certainly not.

Remember - we have the next set of Havieron results in only 8 trading days from now, there might be some more recent nervous holders selling up but I can't see anyone who has held through the riskier times selling up now.

Well folks - this time 3 years ago we were all licking our wounds after the Newmont "not at this time" decision. What an amazing 3 years it's been since then.

Thanks to Gervaise, Callum & all the others at GGP for the hard work and dedication in turning the story around and this is only just the beginning.

Thanks for sharing, I've had similar correspondence TBF but not since the MRE was announced so great to hear Steve's thoughts that the deposit will get a lot bigger as they carry on drilling.

I think Steve originally thought that NCM would look to take out GGP after the initial MRE but that moment seems to have passed now and the price is only gonna get bigger as the drilling continues so I'm of the opinion that eventually we will be a junior partner in a very profitable Tier 1 mine.
