Remember this is gonna probably be a block cave mine from day one and we know that Newcrest are the world leaders in this mining method and are at the cutting edge of technological advances with remote robot drilling, automated trucks, etc.

It looks the same to me at first glance as the one to be given in Hong Kong today so I'm more interested to see what the content of the presentation for next week at the Denver Gold Forum will be as Sandeep will be giving that one.

The top of the ore body is only at 400m. It would take a decline crew only a year to get down to that depth. This is a massive mineralised system and the high grade can potentially be on its way to Telfer plant within 18months. Just daily development tonnage for a 6m x 5m drive could see Havieron quickly at a few thousand tonnes a day. Globally 400m top of ore body projects are the norm. I’m watching this closely and ARV will be a big winner here. I hear Newcrest at the big Denver Gold Show next week and it’s all about Havieron as their major exploration play. Now that could make things very interesting. But as usual DYOR and see professional advice. These are my personal views.

So a chance that ore "could" be on the way to Telfer within 18 months - personally I think that's a bit optimistic but it shows the way they are thinking about things in Oz.

The interesting one is the reply from William Langley who is the guy who tweeted the picture of the HAD005 core last year from the warehouse. From memory he's an analyst with Hartley's in Oz and he says "that's a mine" straight off.

Agreed Fullboots. It states that the minimum spend of $5 million will be reached but they need to double that to them move onto phase 2.

Happy days guys - shame about the bottom of HAD011 but these results more than make up for it.

Truly surprised as I was sure it would be the quarterly before news but just goes to show - anyone who tries to be clever can be burnt by both GGP & NC now.

Apart from the obvious drill results that we are waiting on from Black Hills and Firetower there are also 3 other surveys either ongoing or waiting for interpretation of results.

Paterson Range East - RNS - 15th July.

Gervaise Heddle, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "We are very pleased with the encouraging data collected from this detailed, high-resolution survey, which clearly defines numerous high-priority targets at Paterson Range East with a similar discrete magnetic signature to Havieron. We plan to quickly follow up these results with the launch of comprehensive ground gravity and surface geochemical surveys next month.

Scallywag - RNS - 15th August

Highlights of New Exploration Programme

· Extensive new geophysical surveys, including IP and ground gravity, to follow encouraging early exploration results at high-priority Scallywag prospect.
· Ground gravity survey (to commence in August):
· Ground gravity will be collected across the Scallywag prospect and surrounding areas.
· Approximately 1,580 gravity stations are planned at 400m x 200m spacing, infilling to 200m x 200m across the Scallywag prospect itself.
· Induced Polarisation survey (to commence in September):
· 25 line kilometres of high-powered, deep-sensing 2D IP planned across the Scallywag prospect.
· The IP technique has the ability to detect disseminated sulphide mineralisation like that seen at the Havieron prospect, and will also assist in structural mapping and determining cover depth.
· 3D modelling of the gravity and detailed aeromagnetic data will be completed and reviewed with IP profiles to determine drill targets.

Panorama - RNS - 20th August

Highlights:

· Further field reconnaissance has successfully located additional gold nuggets over an area of 900m by 200m approximately 1km further south-west from those previously announced on 8 July 2019.
· The additional gold nuggets collected further extend the strike length of the mineralised trend from 4.3km to 6.1km.
· Phase one geochemical sampling completed with soil sample assays awaited and a detailed, low level airborne magnetic survey covering the entire Panorama project area is also now complete with the data currently being processed.
· The geochemical and geophysical data sets will assist with the interpretation of structural and basement geology and provide better definition of existing targets.

So all in all I would hope that we should start to see some results (both drill and survey) in the coming weeks prior to the Newcrest update.

Not sure if we will get any news before the presentation but it will be interesting to see what he has to say about Havieron and Telfer - I still think the exploration update will come in October with their quarterly report.

Newcrest also did an investor day presentation on the 25th October last year (the day after their quarterly) which can be seen on their website - so perhaps they are going all out to get Havieron to a position where they can announce to the world as reddirt alluded to a couple of weeks ago.

Hopefully we will get some updates on GGP's own efforts on the meantime.

Here's the gist of it again - trying to explain why we may be seeing the selling at the moment even with all the news that is due to drop....

All this about placees selling up at a loss for a warrant is nonsense. What you might find, if it isn't SB, is it may be previous placees @ 1.25 selling up to fund the 1.85 as it has a warrant attached.

Tom - I don't think that Newcrest will be bothered about that - remember it was GGP who said that the initial drill program would be approx. 10,000m - I think they are probably well past that milestone already and they will carry on drilling and we will get the report on the 24th October when they should have a good chunk of results ready for us.

So if 2 rigs did produce the 2,800m that were reported in the quarterly over the 3 weeks in June. Then by my reckoning - having 3 rigs for all of July and 4 rigs for August & September - Newcrest should have over 20,000m to report for their next quarterly - would this be enough drilling to allow them to formulate an idea of the resource size??
