Anyway, anyone interested in the upcoming Scallywag drilling program. Have a look at the results from the MMI survey results from Havieron compared to Scallywag which make for interesting reading.
Havieron – 6th December 2017
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/greatland_gold/news/rns/story/w6ek0gr
‘Peak MMI responses over Havieron were 4ppb silver, 70ppb arsenic, 25ppb gold, 834ppb cerium, 710ppb copper, 53ppm iron, 284ppb lanthanum, 860ppb lead and 112 ppb uranium.’
Scallywag – 23rd October 2018
https://polaris.brighterir.com/public/greatland_gold/news/rns/story/xpyvo3x
‘Highest results returned from MMI sampling were 8ppb silver, 50ppb arsenic, 0.4ppb gold, 480ppb cerium, 2750ppb copper, 33ppm iron, 280ppb lanthanum, 240ppb lead and 335ppb uranium. Response of certain groupings (or suites) of elements over parts of the Scallywag target are similar to those seen in MMI and drill core from the Havieron prospect.’
Most of the ‘pathfinder’ elements show similar levels but it’s very interesting that the gold response was a lot lower and the copper response was off the charts compared to Havieron.
I wonder if the fact that the basement rocks are more shallow at Scallywag allows the copper to ‘leach’ through the soil more easily and can therefore be detected more readily at the surface??
Very interesting especially when you consider than the Scallywag target encroaches onto the RIO license next door to us.
The only way to find out for certain is with the drill bit – exciting times. GLA Paddy
