@944t - the last time I looked your post had almost 50 recommendations so I think 99% of people on here were very glad to read it and even if it has been removed I think everyone had gotten the gist of it.

Could be - but I'm sure that Numis were referred to as a joint broker with "SI Capital" so I assume the new II broker will be the on the same terms.

I'd say there's probably a good possibility of Hannam getting promoted to the in-house broker position now that Numis are out of the picture.

So what your saying is the high grade at the top/centre will have been weathered/obliterated by some sort of event in the mists of time but the remainder of the high grade should still be in place around the edges and at depth.

Is this too simplistic a way of looking at it?

I thought nothing much was happening down over the sand-dune bridge in recent weeks. I had a little bit of a closer look last night and there has definitely been subtle work being carried out down there over the past 5 or so weeks.

Now what do we think they are up to??

That's very interesting MH - there was a lot of speculation about RIO looking at perhaps both Nifty & Telfer as their processing hubs for their operations in the Paterson.

I guess the fact they've applied for the environmental approvals for a processing facility at WINU still doesn't completely rule out those options it means the 'corporate tensions' in the region may not be as intense as some people had speculated.

@tig - only 5 more full trading days left - I'm still here and posted plenty of maps and updates yesterday.

No more upgrades from Numis then.

Have a quick butcher's at where the old hole from 1995 (HAC9503) was aiming. Looks like it was targeting a very similar area to where NCM have turned Lake Havieron into a pin cushion. Now from the report in 1995 they said that HAC9503 was intensely alterated but they assumed it was the periphery of the system as it didn't hit the same high grades as HAC9101 & HAC9201 (previous year's drilling).

We can assume from the amount of holes that NCM are drilling around there now that it's not the periphery but as with the other holes they just didn't go deep enough. More confident that ever that we are going to be seeing good long sections of nice high grade ore from these NW drills.

It's given them less breathing space rather than more because they haven't extended the expiry date. It could be to placate institutional investors who may be afraid of the directors selling into any perceived rise when the options vested in September. This way they would know that could not happen for at least 12 months from now.

@chester - I noticed when they drilled in that SW area they did 12 holes in the space of about 4 weeks and we didn't see any of the characteristic 'black sump-pits' that have been associated with the diamond core drilling that we have seen in the other parts of Havieron.

This led me to think that perhaps these holes in this area were just RC holes that were preparing collars for future diamond drills and may have been used to collect down-hole survey data.

I stress that this is purely guesswork on my part and I will be delighted if I am proven wrong - if this was the case then NCM would not have any assays in that area to report on

Just did a quick screenshot of Havieron with the new hole plotted onto Google Earth. Gives a good idea on the position of new new drilling in relation to the current results and the overall scale can be gauged from the 220m hit on HAD066 from the existing HGZ.

We had this last week when the job advert was first spotted on the NCM website.

We are in a farm-in arrangement with NCM at the moment and that will progress to a potential JV toll treating agreement on successful completion of the farm-in. I think it simply is referring to this fact.

'The Pre-Feasibility Study and Feasibility Study for any project on the Tenement Blocks will consider the potential for the toll processing of ore from that project (JV Project) at the Telfer Gold Mine. If the Feasibility Study determines that toll processing at the Telfer Gold Mine is the preferred method for refining Minerals from the JV Project, then, subject to certain conditions and agreement of final tolling terms, the JV Project developed by the Joint Venture will toll process its ore at the Telfer Gold Mine processing facilities.'

Just looks like another switch off day and just let the market do it's thing.
The gold is still there, NCM are still going at it all funds blazing, the concept studies are incoming, the MRE is incoming, drilling at Scallywag is imminent, etc, etc, etc.

All good - insert hands under bum cheeks and wait.

I'm pretty sure that they will be running a blended ore of both ours and Telfer through the plant especially as it will be getting more & more economical to keep mining Telfer with the rising gold price.

They will have procedures in place to monitor the grade coming from Havieron and it will be toll treated and valued accordingly. I think there are systems like this in operation in quite a few processing plants around the world.
