Mean SP estimate is 48.14, median is 48.05. Why exclude outliers in a range of twenty one responses? Presumably there's a bias towards optimism given 75% of estimates say the SP will end the week higher than last Friday's close.

The independence of the ONS does get regularly questioned when new methodologies are introduced to revise previous ones. But they are required to publish these revisions. So I have confidence over their rigour but I imagine they are subject to political influence on how they select their measures.
On a simple level it seems to me that a lot of pent up demand is chasing a restricted supply of goods so prices are higher. My guess is demand will level out eventually, so I am not yet a believer that we will see sustained high inflation over the medium term.

If the SP finishes somewhere near where it is now Falkland Investor would be more accurate than most.

"A price target is mealy a view of what a share value should be based on historical and projected profits". That makes sense to me. Targets get updated quite frequently on the retail platforms. I am a novice but believe my lloyds investment represents a "share in future profits" so makes sense it will be priced by the market according to the outlook at that moment in time. I like rational explanations because they tend to be consistent. Anyway its encouraging to see general positivity on bank stocks growing and Credit Suisse mention Lloy as top pick a month ago or so because of having" the best sequential improvement in net interest margins". Investopedia helped me out with that one being "..profitability of their interest income versus their interest expenses.

Fed mtg headlines suggest earlier interest rate rises and higher inflation. If the same happens here I imagine LBG will get higher margins but higher defaults. I do not have any knowledge to predict how that will impact the SP in the near term, or the relationship between LLOY and Citigroup losses.

Thats a good call. I agree it is £37 Billion allocated over two years and the final bill is not yet known. I am not expecting too much change out of that figure, as the initial £20 Billion budget was increased by a further £15 Billion. Access to PCR testing was increased across the country since Oct 20 and also lateral flow tests have been introduced to specific settings and finally to the public on demand. There is a more recent figure here:
