Speaking of Bulls and Bears…….For the former who are likely invested in this stock, I can fully understand why they spend their time on this BB posting related messages……For the latter who are likely not invested in this stock, I completely fail to understand what motivates them to waste their time on this BB posting related messages. Would love to be enlightened by those wonderful bears …..LOL

Great news from left field.

To me whilst the capital cost saving is excellent, I think it is the strong message that this news sends to the market that HZM are already actively pursuing key aspects for doing the timely second phase ramp up of the Araguaia asset that is the most important take-away from the news here.

Will likely make the shorters think twice about maintaining their positions here….

The MMG (Chinese) owned Las Bampas copper mine in Peru is being closed down by MMG due to ongoing access / logistic issues with the local community in that particular mining region of Peru (refer linked article). It’s been an ongoing problem for MMG intermittently for more than 1 year, so well before the recent Peru Govt attempted action upon HOC that has since been back-tracked.

I am not aware of any similar community relations issues for HOC with their Peru mines and indeed as referred to in the recent HOC RNS their local communities very actively supporting the HOC management team in quickly getting the Peru Govt to back-track on their recent attempted action.

Move on….story over….business is ongoing as usual per the long proven history in Peru for HOC.

Good positive SP move today, but not sure why were not showing up on the LSE share risers list ?
Maybe a hangover from the recent name change that needs fixing…..Hope LSE resolves it asap.

The well respected precious metals commentator Don Durrett reckons HOC got themselves quite a bargain here, based on his related tweets….Looks like they have BTFD during current gold price lull.

My pockets aren’t deep enough to pay for getting access to the full report within this link, but the summary details + TOC that are available to view in the attached link make for interesting reading and it clearly shows the path that the cosmetics industry continues to be taking for the avoidance / minimisation of animals / humans related testing.

It kinda makes me think that sometime down the road, one of the tier 1 multi-billion cosmetic companies who are already customers of Deepverge are going to get the bright idea to buy them out in order to bring them directly under their control and thereby put their competitors at a significant disadvantage….for the competition they will know that you cannot step backwards on the path towards cruelty free cosmetics…..so then to let the bidding war for Deepverge play out.

This in one of the many reasons I am invested here, for the future high price take-over potential (note that Gerry has previous good form on such matters).

It looks to be pretty much a repeat exercise of what BoA pulled before as per the 11th and 12th October issued Tr-1’s…..It was a strange occurrence back then and it’s become even stranger now that they have repeated it again six weeks later……Are they trying to create a false stock liquidity impression for some reason I wonder ?

Fully agree that this important Vermelho news should have been delivered as a separate RNS.

In doing so they could then have made the effort to put some meat on this bone regarding such related aspects as their forecast schedules for producing the Feasibility Study and achieving the permitting.

Missed opportunity…and I wonder why….any conspiracy theories ?

Hmmmm…..JFL80 are you really Peruvian ?

Could have sworn the new Peruvian president is a man (Pedro Castillo).

Interestingly at around the same time as Bitcoin was pumping by around 2000$ (3%) I noticed that Gold went in the opposite direction taking a circa 25 $ (1.35%) dump in the last few hours.

Wouldn’t be surprised if more money is moving across from Precious metals to crypto after seeing Peru starting to play political games with their miners (see the HOC news today) similar to what Mexico (see Fortuna news) has already been doing in recent weeks.

Whilst this is clearly not good news for HOC and likewise you have the Mexicans currently playing games with Fortuna, to my mind it’s likely to be bullish for the price of PMs (especially silver) if this leads to future supply doubts and so there is a double edged sword likely going to be in play here….very interested to see how these Peru / Mexico stories develop in coming weeks/months.

As always with mining stocks it pays to be geographically diversified in your portfolio to mitigate for these type of risks.

The de-ramping crew have been told by their paymasters there’s no Friday night beers for you guys this week, instead it’s lots of overtime tonight and thru the weekend here to desperately try and turn the tide going into Monday as they are losing the battle with the share price.

Crew told to spin whatever yarns they can dream up (brochure conspiracy theories et al) as the boss cannot stomach having another bad week like the one that’s just finished where he’s taken a 20% hit.

God help them when those RNS’s soon land……LOL

Almost at 1% of total shares traded so far and it’s only lunchtime on a normally quiet trading day (Friday).

The CEO / CFO are not historically known for buying shares direct from the market but they were doing so (60K worth) less than a month ago.

It’s good news for Bitcoin adoption and MODE looks to me to be a good diversification play in the crypto space (I hold a few shares for transparency). They just got into a partnership with Antonio Pompliano, so I guess they will use him to open doors into the massive US market.
