I was in here at 250 too and have added to bring my average down and I still buy on the dips. I doubt the news will be great but it is more than priced in and in all fairness where is it good. Financial commentators have been hyping the fact of the lack of car production in March but what on earth did they expect with car plants closed. There is a lot of smoke and mirrors in this market at the moment and patience and stock selection will be the key. As far as Ted is concerned they will come good as a lot of their competitors will not be around. The current market cap is far too low imho.

I think if Ray doesn't make a move someone else will. I remember reading an article a while back and it was suggested that even Mike Ashley would be interested in Ted Baker as he wants to create mini luxury stores called Frasers from some of his House of Fraser stores. He has already picked up a stake in Mulberry and has Jack wills. Will Ted be next...
One thing for sure is that the current market cap looks incredibly low and even the nav is above 400. They have also sold off the headquarters at a sensible time and at a profit.

It could go into the 150's and equally within an hour or two it could go into the 180's. I am hanging out for the takeover which could be double the current price...

Ray holds 35% and Tosca owns 14.5%. Add that up together and you have 49.5%. Interesting... I think it's just a matter of time before we receive an offer but that's just my opinion. I wonder if the hedge funds have been used to keep the price down for a length of time to make the potential offer to look more appealing.

The mm's are buggering with this at the moment. You can't even buy 5,000 at 34 yet you can sell 50,000 at 33.3. Well I suppose it's good they are short of stock...

If that were the scenario demark at what price do you think the offer would come in at? I would be very surprised if it was below 300. I wonder if Toscafund will partner Ray, their average must be over 300...

The delay could be to do with Ray having discussions with the board about a potential offer... Surely he must have been considering it over the last few months as there was media speculation last year of that happening when the shares were 950. Surely he won't get a better opportunity than now as he could probably get away with offering 325.

Seems like the directors are on a roll... Better to see them buy than sell and that's the third director purchase in the last week. I wonder which director will buy next...

Talking of Graff they own 15% of GEMD. I remember how impressed I was when going into the Knistbridge branch that they remembered me by name after a year. The service there is exemplary and that service has seemed to die out in many other establishments. Obviously you wouldn't expect it at your local M&S but smaller companies on the whole are not the same as they used to be... I wonder if Graff are in the market to increase their 15% stake. Now would seem like a good idea to me.

Good post Capt. I have just sold off my HOC yesterday after that doubling and put it all in here as this looks way oversold. I hope this doubles and more too. I don't see why not as this price looks like a gift. Good to see the directors putting their money where their mouth is too...

I know it is rather a small amount considering the drop in the share price. I have picked up a lot more than that in the last week... However I suppose its better than nothing and at least the directors aren't selling but have they any to sell...

About bloody time... The last one was about 3 years ago according to the data on here. It seems as though this is being kept down as it is hard to pick up any size yet its being pushed down by small A trades . FCA should look into this practice.

Last July Goldman had a buy and a £20 target on AML. History shows it's best to do the opposite of their recommendations wouldn't you say? Overpaid clueless idiots...

This has been massively oversold and has been subject to a short attack. The company has just recently recieved over £530m and lets face it someone like Stroll and co would have done their due diligence. There has been too much focus on debt here when the majority of companies have debt. They have invested heavily in r&d and have a new plant which will end up paying dividends in years to come. If the shorts continue to sell and keep the price down I see this as a good opportunity to mop more shares up. Don't forget that a large percentage of the shares are held by a few and I am sure those few will be buyers at this price. This is Aston Martin after all not some tin pot company.

I am surprised this hasn't shot up considering silver has broken out...
