The only reason Bab is down to these levels is because of the hedge funds and if it wasn't for them the shares at the current time would most probably be over 400. If things aren't bad enough with coronavirus we have to deal with these parasites. If they want to sell something they should buy it in the first place. My local MP wasn't amused when I turned up at his front door with a bunch of estate agent as I wanted to short sell his house which may in turn frighten him into marketing the house at a lower price which would be ripe for picking.

Sustainable could buy 100% of the company and the price will still go down. Something is afoot here.

If Ruth is buying she clearly believes that the company is a sound investment. If that's the case maybe she and the board should consider a share buy back especially at these low levels.

It's good to see Ruth buying today. I am sure she has a better grasp of the situation than the hedge funds shorting this.

Re takeover - Cobham was taken over by Advent, a us company so you couldn't rule it out but there would be a lot of hurdles to overcome. Bab**** could be an attractive proposition for Bae via an all share offer as it would fit in well. They would probably be successful if they offered a 1 for 1 share deal.

jp Morgan ( bank of america) have reduced their target. That was quick wasn't it. These idiots must think investors are as stupid as they are. Transparent, but I suppose if you can see through them then you will do fine investing. jp morgan did me a great favour reducing Fres to 500 they are 1250 now.

I was under the impression that boatman was nothing more than a journalist using an offshore email account receiving brown envelopes from a certain hedge fund. The hedge funds in turn are most probably manipulating the price lower for a cheap takeover. I have seen this pattern time and time again. Lets face it there are other companies which would represent a better short proposition to Bab****, especially at these levels. You would have thought that Bab**** would have reported a loss with todays price action. They still made a profit in a quarter which most other companies would envy.

The current share price is where it is because the market is irrational and chart led driven. Very few investors today are interested in fundamentals and they let the trend be their friend right or wrong. The price can obviously fall further but it doesn't necessary value the company of what its actual true worth, its a valuation on a given day and in time this will change. I think the fact that they aren't paying a dividend has put certain funds off buying but what they are missing is that they will be paying dividends in the not too far future and a lot more than the US tech companies will be able to pay out. This is an overreaction and you can see it in the charts that it has fallen before but then it reverses and rises. Is this the bottom is anyones guess as the market is clearly irrational but at some point when it does hit the bottom I can see it reversing as quickly as it has come down. IMHO

Kontiki whom are short here also have a short in PETS which are now up 25%. Just to think that Immersion have a 3.22% short.

Gladstone and Immersion have increased their short since February. The only other declared short Immersion have is PETS and they are up 15% today. Just goes to show they don't always get it right...

The broker downgraded TED today which is probably a good sign as the morons had a target on them of £30 less than two years ago. Clowns, are they taking the **** or are they stupid...

Fleecy - It seems as though the market is just interested in US tech and virtually everything else is being shorted. It's a joke and like you I will just hold and wait it out as I'm sure value will prevail at some point in the future.

They haven't been able to fly first class, stay in hotels and eat in fine restraints drinking Lafite... Some directors have better perks than others it would seem...

Net debt reduced to $5.4m. This figure is rather dwarfed by PDL's $650m debt. They are still getting some decent stones too. This looks undervalued by any stretch of the imagination. The market is valuing this as though Coronavirus will be here for good.... A few big finds could really be a game changer here as the enterprise value is peanuts. I think the patient will be handsomely rewarded at these levels.

Quite incredible Colonel that the figures are worse than you thought when you stated that they would be $15m in debt when they actually have $17m in cash... Rather peculiar.

M&S get it right with the food but they fail miserably with their clothes division year after year. Next seem to have been able to navigate the harsh storms of late a lot better. You have to wonder if Next would be interested in taking M&S over as a combined entity they could do very well. M&S look like a sitting duck to be taken over at these levels with a Mkt Cap of less than £2Bn. If Next is anything to go by I think a few heads need to be axed in the clothes division as they just don't seem to know their target market. This is the time when they have to be bold, imaginative and invigorating and unfortunately Steve Rowe doesn't install much confidence in getting the job done. M&S is a British institution that has stalled and needs a kick start to propel it back up to previous heights. It can be done but they have to get the axe out and start hiring proactive innovative people. Next have a Mkt cap of £7.5 Bn and there should be no reason why the same couldn't happen here. They have a strong brand that just needs rejuvenating and revitalising.

Square point have increased their short position to 0.6%. They will probably see the light soon and buy back which should help propel this over 100. We are probably about 6 months away from a vaccine and when this happens a percentage of people will revert to shopping on their feet rather than sofa surfing. No doubt the government will promote it as exercise and will tax online sales giving people an incentive to go shopping. I am sure the patient will be rewarded here. Imho
