The NAV per share is $1.66. These results clearly demonstrate that there is demand for their top diamonds and the mere fact that they have achieved over $1700 in the current climate is a positive in my book. Right now I feel happy holding and buying a company that is selling a product that is in demand. I can see long term value in this company and I am taking advantage of the fact that others our taking a very short term view. If they were to be in debt by $30m that is twenty times less than PDL's debt. GEMD should use some debt to buy back shares while they are down at these levels. That would increase eps.

There is no way that millennium are alone shorting as their 0.5% is less than 800,000 shares. This bodes well for when they will all buy back. Hedge funds usually hunt in packs and most will stay under 0.25%. Prices over $1700 - I bet they weren't expecting that...

Very encouraging update and a lot better than I anticipated. The only seller's here are hedge funds and they will have to buy back at some point and lets hope it is after they have discovered a whopper which they will. It's just a matter of time... I have picked up a few hundred thousand at these bargain prices and will pick up more. This is trading at less than a quarter of NAV. Debt has been minimal here and will remain that way with updates like today. Prices have risen not declined. You and your boys just carry on selling Colonel and I will carry on buying. Quite an interesting tactic after 4.00pm selling to get the close price lower... Hedge funds are so transparent.

The management should store up a few large stones and release them for about 5 days in a row. This would send the shorters packing. They have pulled out some large stones before and history tells us they will do it again. Patience is required here.

Yes, quite agree tricky. The performance of the share price has been shocking over the last five years, from 150 to 30 yet the directors are awarded with shares. Now the directors are loaded up with a few shares maybe some big diamonds will be found in the back of the sofa... At least one big find could transform the share price.

Can't be too far away and hopefully that will give the shares an uplift along with some large finds which we must be due soon.

Maybe that's why some of the directors bought shares before the resolution passed. If they thought it was a good time to buy for themselves they would have to think on the same lines for the company as they do seem oversold. The market seems to be recovering yet GEMD has failed to fire up, even PDL with its huge debt pile and associated problems is off its bottom.

I wonder when the company plans to carry out resolution 17. Authority for the Company to purchase its own shares. I think sooner rather than later at these prices and going forward would probably be better than paying dividends.

I had more shares than your friend demark and the loss was a lot more than his unfortunately however I will still be entitled to the rights shares at 75p which I will take up and if the share price falls close to or below the placing price I may consider buying more shares then but at the moment I am pretty pi**ed off with the announcement today...

Now we know why the shares were sold off on Friday don't we as the ex entitlement date was close of business 28th May... The FCA should look into trades last week as this is absolutely crooked and Sky news released the news before the company did. I will be contacting the FCA and I urge other holders to do the same if they feel that there has been wrongdoings here.

The problem here is the amount of shares issued at 75p. Don't you think that the new holders will offload them to make a profit? What would you do if you were offered shares at 75p and you could then sell them for 140p. The low price of 75 doesn't show that much confidence does It? Small shareholders have been royally buge***d yet again...

Absolutely dreadful update and no doubt the hedge funds will be out forcing this down to 75 in the next month or so just like they did with Aston Martin. I expect to see critical broker notes within this time with low price targets to help their mates aka their paymasters. The only shareholders to benefit out of this are the new holders at 75p. So much for the 5-10m profit... Anyway good luck to the long term holders and I hope it works out for you and ted can turn itself around.

There was probably a leak here and no doubt the FCA will look into this... The trading volume was a lot higher last week, now you know why.
I see two options here either they do 1 for 1 with placing shares at a price of 180 which was the price the shares were pushed up to last week or a 2 for 1 at 90. A lot depends on Ray and Tosca and where they want to take this. What is Tosca's average here? I would have thought it has to be over 300.
