UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: Biome Tech Hires Former Filtronic CEO

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Biome Technologies PLC - Southampton, England-based biodegradable plastics and radio frequency systems - Hires former Filtronic PLC chief executive officer Rob Smith as chief financial officer. Smith was CEO of Leeds-based antenna manufacturer Filtronic for five years, leaving at the start of November last year. Separately, Biome Technologies says revenue in third quarter ended September 30 was GBP1.8 million, up from GBP1.3 million a year prior. Revenue for the first nine months was GBP4.3 million, down from GBP4.7 million.

Lookers PLC - Manchester-based car retailer - Tony Bramall to step down as non-executive director on December 31, having served on the board since 2006. "Tony is a legendary figure and a real character of the motor industry," says Executive Chair Phil White. "He has also been a stalwart member of the Lookers board for the past 14 years."

JP Morgan Mid Cap Investment Trust PLC - invests in FTSE 250 companies - Confirms Michael Hughes retires as chair at Thursday's annual general meeting, succeeded by John Evans.

Arc Minerals Ltd - exploring for copper and cobalt in the the Zambian copper belt - Hires Caleb Mulenga as non-executive director, effect immediately. Mulenga is executive chair of Superior Milling Ltd, having founded the company after spending eight years at the Development Bank of Zambia. He also is chair of Access Bank Zambia.

Inspiration Healthcare Group PLC - Crawley, West Sussex-based medical devices - Hires Liz Shanahan as non-executive director, effective immediately. Shanahan was global head of Healthcare & Lifesciences at New York-listed FTI Consulting Inc until 2014. She is a non-executive director of FTSE 250 healthcare services provider UDG Healthcare PLC.

Kromek Group PLC - County Durham, England-based detection technology for medical, security screening and nuclear markets - Appoints Paul Farquhar as chief financial officer, replacing Derek Bulmer, who will step down on Saturday to "explore possible opportunities" elsewhere. Farquhar was CFO of Nasdaq-listed Sevcon Inc, which makes microprocessor controls for electric and hybrid vehicles, until its acquisition by BorgWarner Inc in 2017.

Ncondezi Energy Ltd - coal-fired power project in Mozambique - Scott Fletcher confirmed as non-executive director, effective immediately, as due diligence checks now have been completed. Fletcher is the largest shareholder in the company, holding 16% of its shares from market purchases and participation in fund raises. He is an entrepreneur, having founded cloud services provider ANS Group when he was 22 years old.

KKV Secured Loan Fund Ltd - equipment leasing and asset finance investment - Chris Spencer and Jacqueline Redmond step down from the board from Friday. Paul Meader to step down after publication of results for financial year that ended June 30. Says departure of the three directors is part of its intention to propose a managed wind-down of the company and to reduce the size of the board. Looking for new directors with experience in managed wind-downs, with the intention to have four or fewer board directors.
