HOUSTON, March 25 (Reuters) - The largest crude distillationunit at BP Plc's 405,000- barrel-per-day (bpd) Whiting,Indiana, refinery was back to normal operation following anovernight malfunction, said a BP spokesman on Tuesday.
The malfunction led to the release of crude oil into LakeMichigan, said BP spokesman Scott Dean.
Crews were working to clean up the spilled crude oil, Deansaid. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
