Dsw Capital Share Price (DSW)

Hi Margaret - snouted around and discovered our mystery new investor. As you say, a few more folk willing to invest £100k+ would be helpful as I'm guessing institutions will be absent for a long while yet.

Looked up Setfords - interesting to see they're based in Guildford as is DR I think. It does seem that platform law is becoming a meaningful new force in the legal market - let's hope the new fella, James Mallender (who seems to be entrepreneurial in his own right) is properly motivated to make another million or two from DSW Legal, as he seems to have done from his sale of his previous legal platform.

While the new thrust is legal first, will be interesting to see how the old rump business performs, will the fee earners there still feel a loved part of the business? James, Shru and the team will be attentive, careful and commercial....I'm optimsitic.

The results were ok but underwhelming for a rerate in the sp for now. But it’s the significant shift in direction that’s gaining traction that has me excited for the future. DR looks to be the game changing catalyst. They will have learnt a lot , it’s clearly been a positive move and with the new MD they look ready to move this along at pace with DSW Legal.

Take a look at similar plays, particularly Setfords. Fantastic 5 year growth since 2020, investment from PE Pheonix, and potential sale.

So I hope now we have a growth story that will attract new shareholders. For now we get a good yield from the healthy cash flows.

Where did you learn about the new investor? We could do with more of the same.

It seems we're now going full on a legal services franchise future.

Nice to see the diversification working, shame about the M&A side of the business. This shor short-term pain has represented a buying opportunity.

Hello Margaret - he's the one who seemed most likely when I searched but a finance official in Gib and former banker in Brazil...? Also someone in Cheshire who seems to have a string of failed companies behind him...would be good to learn more in due course...
