To me, the only risk here is how easy it could be for manufacturers to develop their own filters. We've seen Beko come out with their own, and I think that has weighed on the SP somewhat, combined with the lack of recent updates here. That said, the quality of the filter also matters, and I believe France and EU will put in quite stringent standards, which will favour Xeros. At now a £27m MCAP, I feel the potential far outweighs the risk here. And that's before we look at the Xorbs and Xdrum part of the business
2024 and France mandates that all new washing machines are fitted with a microfibre/plastic filtration system. Without knowing the size of the French market, I suspect that the major manufacturers will not be making bespoke items. I am speculating that all manufacturers will be looking at the microfibre filtration systems and establishing their supply chain. Yes the legislation in France is enforceable from 2024 but the sourcing will have started and with a knowing nod and wink to it being a much larger market than France.
I also saw that Dr. Imogen Napper was on Twitter talking about the filtration research she did at Plymouth University. The Xeros filter came out tops, so that won't do us any harm.
Second reading of the Microplastic Filters (Washing Machines) Bill - requiring manufacturers to fit microplastic-catching filters to new domestic and commercial washing machines is due in parliament on 21st January - seems to have broad support but some considerable way to go though.
actually the article was 30th Dec so pretty old in market terms.
There was an article in the Guardian yesterday highlighting that the XFiltra system is a standout solution for stopping microfibres from leaving washing machines. It may contribute to todays move.
… sleeping giant…..
Dunno but it's about bloody time!
OK, own up, who woke Xeros up?
Yes, it's had a long run down since February, the momentum has been the other way. I know nothing about technicals, but with over 78% in large holders hands, which appear to be sticky, I would guess that low volume would do that.
But as you say the potential is huge, and unless it goes bust it will turn some time. I can't see it going bust, with the deals they have they will surely be able to raise what they need to survive to profitability. With such a small free portion of shares any real buying could make it rocket.
And someone's just bought 15k shares! (My earlier buy was marked as a sell.). Annoying: they paid less than me...!
It's puzzling that xeros is so slow in volume and just doesn't seem to have momentum. There is so much potential here. There must be an uptick some time soon?

NB the University of Plymouth tested 6 systems - and ours was the stand out by far.
And while India is really great I just love that deal you all know about with Sea-Lion, the largest washing machine manufacturer in China. Environmental is going great guns in China, I think, especially when it affects their local environment. High single digit royalties, great.

I'm in. "Still think this will turn at some point and the herd will arrive." Never been good at herd, but could I be the first?
They have the tech, they have the proven products, they have the deals and route to market, the market has a gigantic driver (environmental concern and climate change, energy water and chemical saving), and the market is very large indeed. Could be 15 months to break-even... and then what??
Plus it's very near its all time low, off which it bounced a few weeks back. Yes!
Up 30% on LSE
Just ridiculous how they manage to squeeze the SP down with such little effort...and with so few shares....interesting experience to watch just how they do it ....
Not surprised buyers are stepping up, the right tech at the right time. Dirt cheap for a stock where the company is likely to be in the black within 13 months. It won't be this cheap come December 2022.
Big buys coming in now
Grappa - news is overdue but I don't think the rise is due to any leak - there haven't been many trades. I just think it's oversold and a few buys soon sees this momentum shift given the MCAP is so low.
now topping the chart and just gone to 115p 21.69% up. Some news coming.
Must be all that Baileys you broke out! ;)
They're estimating a better revenue stream for 2022, but the return on capital employed hasn't been good over the years, has it. I was looking to put a few pennies in, but will give it a miss. These little ESG companies still have a long, long way to go.
Oversold ?
I don't think its pump and dump. More like some news coming on the domestic front after trials.
Pump and dump probably, although I could be wrong. The amount being spent per trade isn't much. Try looking at the ADVFN board, they might know.
relief that xeros over a pound again. Does anyone know why?
