Hi, does somebody know when & how much VSL is going to pay us back about windup? lost a quite money in this one,
should sell now when still have not lost all ? thanks
Put your money where your mouth is lad, hope you have plenty of AMD busting the £200 mark now.
called cash flow as in the buy was borrowed from my cash reserves then the sale of vsl replenished later my cash stock pile. hence rebalancing my cash to stocks. this weeks swing trade buying 40k worth of amd at $162 at the close on 21/02/2024 and selling for 10% profit 23/02/2024 i still hold a large position at an average of $100 but it is nice to always take profits to keep motivated. also bought some datagroup at below 48eur this week and opened a position in roku at $63. last week sold my pltr when it hit $25 for 100% profit. as i stated asset manged funds always lose money and only the managers make money from them, jup was a chance not to be passed on and will be ditched like a ***** now with a trailing stop loss installed its a trash stock...........blah blah blah blah blah all bull ****e
Krustysmegma
NAV Still going down, although minimal.
This is going to be a long haul. I suspect times will be better by the time they start selling the unlisted shares etc

Oh and also purchased in January a decent position in Unicaja Banco SA a Spanish bank at 0.88EUR it will have a good year catching up the other Spanish banks.

"Could be correct, recently got out even with the dividends and redeployed the money into GRF at 8.40e and Jup 72p"
How can you have reinvested money from a sale here on 30th Jan with a buy on 9th Jan?
Also Mr thicko it states on google even a 52 week low of 71.10 for anyone to see, if you knew anything the graph will only show the daily average not the actual lowest price on the day. Hence another example I hold SMIF at 62p the day it crashed but recovered very quickly so you will never see that price on any graph. Best thing you can do is get out the game and stick your money in a Natwest piggybank be safer for you lad.
Totally incorrect I actually purchased JUP at 71.85p on the 9/1/24 the day the CEO left, via freetrade. Could easily send you a screen shot. Now stop stalking and crying like a baby and learn how and when to buy stocks properly.
Been averaging down for a long time on VSL. This was a big one for me and a long term holder. One of Woodford’s holdings way back as well.
Somewhat depressing to see the continuing NaV erosion.
Think I’ll stop and just take the hit from now on. It’s a losing battle.
Another 2p off on the 29th. Grrr.
Worth a small punt ? :-)
I knew you'd trip yourself up eventually monkey. If you're going to lie, you've got to be very careful to cover your tracks.
"recently got out even with the dividends and redeployed the money into GRF at 8.40e and Jup 72p"
So you sold out here on 30th June (according to your post) but JUP was 79p by that time. It's never been anywhere near 72p since then. Even weeks earlier it never made 72 on the ask. I can't believe a word you say.
A case of FOMO v FOLO. FOMO won today so I topped up to bring my average down. A divi for next month should be announced very soon.
Could be correct, recently got out even with the dividends and redeployed the money into GRF at 8.40e and Jup 72p, so a nice gain and VSL is down another 15% over since I sold out. My concern was the NAV closing in fast on my share price hence took the money and ran rather than trust them and lack on communication a big concern. The NAV was high 90s when they announced it was being wound down and now low 80s its tanking.
I don't blame you silverknight. If total returns are anything like 80p that's about 45% from here. The question is, over what time frame? Personally, I'm in deep enough here and have been since 2017, so I probably won't add. However, if the next update gives a good indication of the plan and the price still doesn't move up, then I could be tempted.
If it's really ***** I wouldn't touch it at any price
i will be buying back in on this ***** again below 50p.
My finger's hovering over the buy button this morning Guitar, but still undecided. On paper, surely all the bad news is factored in ???
I know what you mean Silverknight. The market is treating so many shares badly; anyone who needs to raise money, anyone who is vulverable to interest rates, and in VSL's case "uncertainty".
I think a lot of companies (like VSL) that are being wound up because some people don't like the discount to NAV are struggling with their share prices. But there is no point bailing now. Might as well hope to get an update soon with a route map for returning as much cash as possible.
I do remain suspicious though that we are being buttered-up to accept a low ball offer for the rump, whenever that comes.
The January monthly update is due any day now and hopefully news on capital return
