Fleccy, indeed.
Now RR is over hyped and overvalued. From one extreme to another.
Only Vodacom is trading at over 10bn!
I don’t think anyone knows if she’s doing a good job or not as she’s not been at the helm long enough, it’s a big old ship to turn. I guess we’ll find out sooner or later. The question is do you stick around to find out? It’s currently being day traded to death. I’ve always believed the value is in the brand, infrastructure and customer base, but non of the above are liquid. Lots of people are going to do well out of this share, which side of the line that is, I really don’t know now!
For anyone feeling down, just look at the Rolls Royce 5 year chart. Rolls Royce dipped to 39p in October 2020, and touching 70p in October 2022, now over 300p. The market is designed to psychologically test retail investors to breaking point, I'll just keep holding and waiting.

Nothing seriously wrong, its a dividend trap plain and simple. mountain of debt. showing as a yield of nearly 12% which is plainly on the face of it extremely high, but it is obviously will not be paying out divi at that level when the next one is due.. it will be paired back to somewhere around 6% in an effort to cut the debt mountain and still better than a cash isa. so you either believe that divis will be paid out at the current 12% yield level or you dont. The market is telling what it thinks right now
STILL THINK SHES DONE A GOOD JOB? WOW
Jax old lad, you’re right! What amazes me is that I don’t think any of the 20k I’m down has gone in your pocket. God knows with the hours you’ve put into the board you deserve it.
Got to ask you Jax.. can’t hope noticing that 100% of your post on LSE are on the VOD forum? I presume you don’t own VOD.. does that mean you don’t any other stock?
Something seriously wrong happening with this company... FTSE 100 share trading like a AIM share.. Margharitta need to sacked and get this company basics right. Share price is at historic low and not even cheap.. With Debt mountain, paying huge dividend and regulators in the middle, this company need drastic changes.
I feel sorry for long term investors.
Suspend the share price
PotatoSpacechips, thank you for your very informative and reassuring comment! Concerning dividends, we’ll see, maybe a small reduction this time could impact positively on the SP.
50 Avi?
Looks like another downgrade from brokers today...
Great CFO (now CEO) - 2.5% fixed interest rate. majority of debt payable from 2030 onwards. £11bn liquidity yielding 5% interest rate. Spectrum investment pretty much done - time to reap 5G profits on 2.5% cost of debt (especially in Africa where laying fibre is financially impossible). Waiting for share buyback on Spain proceeds to reduce 11.5% cost of equity. Dividend expected to be maintained looking at adjusted FCF (or just cut some of the enormous capex). Not the healthiest business but the SP is wildly off fundamentals.
No, but the SP is clearly manipulated by the big boys.
Are you implying Vod is on its way out SIDI
Yes Gerydav, let's hope that there will be a dead cat bounce soon.
It's down over 13% in a month and over 5% in a week. I bought in yesterday at 67.48 thinking that was cheap. Who knows here where we are going to bottom but it must have a few up days at some point ??
Also, after dropping for several sessions, there got to be a dead cat bounce soon. I still have a chance to get out alive or with a small loss, lol. 😂😂😂😂
What, me? I got out last year with substantial losses. Now I got into this mess again, how very un-clever of me. Luckily, this time I only put in a very small amount. Also bought at such low prices. It won't hurt me as much as last time. Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well only a cup of Tetley so far Dan, but maybe i should put something a stronger in it, let's hope it keeps dropping then?
reverse psychology perhaps
Hi rob, Sounds good to me, What are you on? Can I have some. Well chilled out, Who cares about the share price, Up, Up & away?! I hope S.I.D.I. is chilled out as well?
RE: In the short term ,I am only interested in the share price if it reaches another purchasing level . I have no concern about a share price tomorrow, next week, next month, or at any time.
Maybe i'm the odd one out then, when i buy a share i just want it to go up and continue going up, so i can sell at a profit
silly me
Moniman "How many times has the divi been cut in the last 5 years" Answer once, can you not work that one out for yourself. I don't get your point? Will it be cut again? We don't know, do you? The divi has only been cut once ever, in 25 years or more.
Jax. For someone who obviously has not got the faintest about the stock market, you are doing very well with your predictions lately. Vod had a market cap of 19 billion on the 28 nov when the sp was 71p, & was ranked 29th in the ftse 100 so less now , but obviously not a tiny market cap. Please stop talking rubbish. Any idiot can guess the market, & sometimes get it right, so carry on guessing, but don't talk rubbish please. Go back to school.
The UK merger will take place in the second half of next year
