"Buys or sells though?"
Bid/Ask price doesn't apply to Off Book Trades, they're Off Exchange.
I now have 5758 shares after buying today…let’s see what happens ??
All the best ??
moniman. top of the list spending items, Apart from mobile phones. Tattoos, T.V. football, designer clothes/trainers, expensive gin, gym membership (you don't have to go though) Just have the right designer attire, The latest Expensive massive alloy wheels electric car, Etc. Etc. If you have any left over, then deliveroo take away food, followed by pay the heating bills & rent/mortgage. I thought you would know that though, living in that dodgy area you described in your earlier post. D.Y.O.R. I.M.H.O. usual Caveats, & all that pointless rubbish. P.S. If you do a caveat at Christmas, is it called a Santa clause?
Buys or sells though?
Today was quite a high-volume day, with a couple of large Off-Book trades.
Time -----currency - price- - - volume - - -tradeValue - type
14:43:43 GBX - - - - - 96.09 - - 47667853 - 45804039.95 - Off-Book
14:43:43 GBX - - - - - 96.09 - - 47667853 - 45804039.95 - Off-Book
Not sure if one of the above are a duplicate, but today's volume so far is 196,105,460. Apart from results day, the daily volumes are around 45 to 55 million shares traded, On Exchange, with some days above that up to about 69 million. When I downloaded the data at 17:00, there were 122,575,601 Off Book trades and 45,848,809 on Exchange trades.
With enough to feed their kids fast food, AND lazy enough to pay for delivery
You are right here, the people who cant/wont buy a box of cereals for their kids but think its the schools job to breakfast them --- but they still have to have their £45 a month phone contract !
Ah, there are none
Feel free to try and influence those on this board to sell, the few on here are line voices
And those who can afford to pay will pay the higher prices that the mobile providers decide to charge.
Nope - not in todays society, people can’t survive without their mobiles, even the poorest
".....When the markets realise we are heading slowly into recession worldwide people will..." be getting out of their expensive mobile phone contracts and spending their little bit of money on buying food, paying the rent or mortgage and paying their huge heating bills more likely.........?
Admiral Ackbar from Starwars looks like a giant fish head but he says 'ITS A TRAAAPP ' better than anyone else.
Hello fleccy. Nice one mate. & there is me thinking you have no sense of humour. Nasty elephant, go away. No. not you fleccy. Trouble with mobile phones, you can't do trunk calls anymore.
When the markets realise we are heading slowly into recession worldwide people will come flocking back for safety. £3-£4bn cash inflow with inflation mechanisms in our customers contracts to protect us, I’d say this is a safe haven stock right now.
You'd think that 2 days before ex dividend this would be back above a pound....well....by the end of the week it's going to struggle to hold 90p
"but I am not going to do a fleccy, as I can see the elephant in the room, but I think he will eventually go away to his graveyard, were he belongs?"
What did I ever do to you Daniel. prompting you to suggest I belong in a graveyard?
Lol, his success rate is a hair pin better than that of a coin flip. So put it on a big ignore.
One couldn't make this $hit up!

Gutter, I feel another song coming on......It's a Rat Trap..........and you've been caught.........:-))
Vodafone are huge multi national corporation, that have networks and infrastructure in an industry that isn’t going away ( this isn’t a cyclical or luxury sector ) we are now bonded with our mobiles and the internet for, what I can see, at least the rest of my lifetime…and Vodafone are one of the big boys in the playground.
Negatives: Massive debt and dividends payments not very well covered by earnings. Key personnel leaving. Consumer debt, all time low consumer saving and energy crisis are rampant…will eventually mean people spend less over the next few years.
Positives: An almost necessary utility at this point (mobiles and internet) so a product that most people won’t/can’t live without.
All time lows in share price with a good dividend.
Conclusion: At this point in time, I consider this a turnaround play. Which means there’s more risk involved than usual. Same boat as Rolls-Royce as far as I’m concerned.
IMHO DYOR NFA
IT'S A TRAAAPP
Hello rob. I think you may get your 93p ex divi, or even less the way things are going. I hope not of course. Do you think you will buy ex divi? I am still positive about vod in the medium term, but I am not going to do a fleccy, as I can see the elephant in the room, but I think he will eventually go away to his graveyard, were he belongs? Wish me luck, because I bloody need it. I see Mikey Klammer, the famous downhill skier is back again.
So tempting to buy today but haven't got the courage. Maybe tomorrow and get that fat dividend. Or maybe not. Dunno. Might be a trap.
Guttersnipe you are a funny & witty individual, love the Spice Girls post. I always ask my older brother who has been working in the city for decades if I should buy a share, he is usually spot on but not always.
Anyway as far as VOD is concerned there are faint rumours apparently that large investors are pushing for a break up of the company. This being the only way out of the massive debt cycle. Don't shoot the messenger fellow posters I'm only trying to post upbeat stuff cos there's a lot of negativity around.
Doyen Dan (DD) it was a very easy to solve , just have to come from a different angle to out smart the bots...answer on CMCX ..chat board ...im no match to your funny wit....keep em coming
Robleo....im sure that offer would cause a stampede, i have seen a few shares go up after ex div date ..also i hold all of those shares named in your posting , bar AV which i sold before share consolidation , use dividendmax to hunt down high paying dividend shares , Dow Jones is closed Thur/Fri (info thats all)...atb
