And VODs decline continues
In a bull market lol
And the "bullishness" stems from? The perception that inflation is falling leading to easing of hawkishness and lower rates as a result? If so, then vod will also rise, should that be stimulating factor behind your vague analysis.
Reading through the H1 report, it's very obvious that the strongest growing markets, UK and Africa didn't translate into improved performance thanks to depreciating currencies, but should reverse.
What Vod needs which seems to be happening is consistency at the leadership level and the new CEO is delivering IMO. Vod is now gearing up to push harder into the service business sector which is likely to be dwarfing the consumer side of the business a few years time. Only in Germany they added over 4m+ new IoT device in H1.
As Jim Collins eloquently noted in his excellent book from Good to Great, it's the accumulation of each turn of the flywheel over a period of time that will drive the future momentum.
In this super bullish turned market, vodafone is going to fall... Lets see this how far this can fall..
Fair enough Dan lol, i will just keep my fingers crossed as i'm not selling at this price
I mean can it get any worse-please don't answer that ;-)
Robleo. "lets hope it can start climbing again in 2014" Sounds like you are still in denial? Come on rob, we don't know.
Not a good day for Voders, let's hope it can start climbing again in 2024, hopefully this has now got as bad as it's going to get or we are stuffed

Jax and gutter have been preaching it would be in the 50s by now but time and time again they have been wrong and will continue to be wrong.
No need to listen to their nonsense.
They disappear as soon as the sp is on the uptrend again, guaranteed.
Avocet. Give us a break. I am still possitive about vod, but don't talk rubbish please. Who said it would be in the 50's ? . All you do with your stupid posts is make anybody who supports vod look foolish. Please go away with your crazy posts. Today was a very bad day for vod, the divi was lost in 1 day. Accept it, & please stop talking nonsense. Who is always wrong? You??
Jax05, this has been an awful share to be invested in, that's just got worse every year since 2018 and is selling off parts of the company in a desperate attempt to reduce debt
the saddest thing is some people seem to be in denial and will try and twist the figures to make it look better than what it is
but every year it continues to disappoint
"27Bn shares in issue means the 9c dividend costs 2.4Bn EUR
Free cash flow is at least 3.3Bn EUR"
Cut the dividend in half to 5% gives almost 2.2Bn EUR spare, to reinvest and pay down debt?
“improve performance.....or sell it”….or FO
Divi payout rate 102%
Italy will pay next divi she hopes
" Vodafone CEO hints at potential Italy sale after results fail to inspire "
market wants to her to deal with Italy.... she is under pressure to act...one way or the other.... improve performance.....or sell it
Brilliant comment
You guys said this would be in the 50's by now and divi cancelled. Fat chance of that now! What happened with your predictions? Always wrong !!
Stocks can't go lower than zero.
Captain Jaxi50 and Porch and Guttersnipe is all back.
The axis of evil to some, freedom fighters to others.
Stopping the young and naive losing theys money.
Dreadful.
Lol
Bye bye Vod
Oops
Not forgetting that 2,700 posts have gone during the reporting period out of the intended 11,000.
That amount of saved salaries equates to a lot of money.
Yep shes done one hell of a job on this share. 95p when she was appointed wow
Fleccy
yes.... tempting...but dull.... lol.... Germany may well get to bottom out this winter with a better year in 2024....but... I still see the market keeping pressure on the CEO to make decisions on Italy and to get her targets achieved....I feel the market will reward VOD ( with rerates) only on performance achievement ( ok some trading going on) , and not give it too much benefit ahead of that.... show us the figures Margherita
