Nice…. Maybe some traction now. In May, VNH's portfolio management team was awarded the coveted triple-A rating by CityWire for being the top performer in Vietnam and commended for carefully constructing a market-leading portfolio.
Lastly, we are pleased to announce that VNH has been promoted to the FTSE Small Cap Index and will therefore be a FTSE All Share constituent from Monday 24 June.

Am I reading this correctly - £2.85 price versus GBP 3.869 per share nav? That's rather a large discount.....??
Thanks in advance

Might be a good top up opp in a few weeks.
This would probably be it...
https://e.vnexpress.net/news/economy/vn-index-plunges-43-points-4417361.html
I’m trying to work out the same reasoning myself. There doesn’t appear to be any negative RNS issued and nothing I can see towards Vietnam’s economy or stock market etc - all I can see online is this https://www.vietnam-briefing.com/news/vietnams-circular-economy-revised-law-on-environment-protection.html/
I am unsure of why the 8% drop unless there is inside information etc - the latest RNS was positive outlook on 2022. I’m not overly worried, I think it’s MMs trying to tree shake. I wonder what level it needs to drop before they do a price monitoring alert
Anyone know why the (currently 8%!) dip this morning?
now that was clever!
I did something similar but after my 56% odd sale I reinvested the cash into VOF which was on over 20% discount and sold my balance of VNH to add to the VOF whilst still on that discount.
yes, I too was rather pleased with this tender!
I (p)repurchased the minimum I was guaranteed to dispose of in the tender offer at around 280 at the beginning of sept. Am aiming to repurchase the remainder when the discount to NAV drops back again
Just sold 56.3% of my holding via the tender @321. Buying back 10k shares @291p. Great deal.

I have disposed of my holding today taking advantage of recent uplift.
A shrewd move imho, I bought some more a week ago, very appealing long term hold
As the discount between NAV and the SP has widened, I have chucked a little more into the melting pot. It was interpreted on the trades page as a sell.
No issues for me. Bought several months ago and sold today. Both buy and sell went through as any normal deal on Halifax SIPP account.
Regards VNH as an investment. China contraction will probably have a ripple effect to other SE Asian economies. Chinese GDP is probably way overstated. A property crash, trade war with US and increasing scrutiny of IP theft will drag China into recession imho. Of course they wont admit this but it's effects will be seen across the region.
Oddly enough the Trust received a write up in the IC last week which caused a little spike in activity. I felt that the price has settled back a little and have chucked some money at this today on behalf of one of my children whose portfolio I am managing to buy a few hundred shares. Somewhat unusually, the dealing platform (HL) to execute the bargain asked a series of questions that might be off-putting to many retail investors.
Markets are closed for a week or so in Vietnam so the price will only move through shareholder pressure rather than from the underlying assets.
