I'm going with an interview. But my gut feeling is that Bill will delegate it to someone with a little more media appeal.
I'll probably be wrong, as usual, but I can see a change in media relations taking place going forward.
between myself and a couple of friends
do we think bill will do an interview re RNS?
Reprocessing old tailings is an approach being advocated by other AIM listed junior miners/explorers as a means of generating a little short term cash flow.
However whilst I've seen various topics on bulletin boards attempting to calculate the value of metals in different companies old spoil heaps, I've yet to seen any reliable data about what actually processing these heaps costs both in term of initial outlay on equipment and then day to day running/staffing/logistics.
The very fact various companies (incl UFO) are considering this suggest that that they believe it to be worth while, but does anyone have a source of useful info on costs... discussion here seems to have settled on the idea that EH tailing may have about £3-£4m of silver in them and that we may be able to get about half of that as profit but I'd like to learn a little more about where the approx £2m costs come from as we will end paying more than just the cot of aquiring the tailing sin the first place.
Cheers
HH

Hi Forrest
Yes, I fully agree with you on the point that Mr Good is extremely knowledgeable about geology, has a clear vision of how Alien is going to take shape over the next year, two years, three years and five years as a business. My knowledge of mining restricts my answer about the grade of silver available in the ore but I do have an answer for you. "In Good we trust".
Istie
Naps another million lol your growing a nice little holding in here like a few of us.
Using the tailings has to be good I also think max is right with the Mexico tailings it’s easy revenue. Just get it refined pay the refining cost pocket the cash it’s a win win.

Istie. Also, if we can make money from the mine ore "waste". Doesn't that imply that the remaining ore contains very high grade silver? Methinks Bill knows exactly what he's doing. What's not to like?
This is not Boom news.. but it might be a good little money spinner whilst we are frying bigger fish which takes a lot longer (and drains precious cash).. the key thing here is that £2 Million revenue is worth the effort as thats 10% of the current MCAP.. not like we would be doing anything other than project managment..
16K tonnes is much beyond the level of Aussie Gold Hunters on the TV..
remember that £2 Million could have bought the whole of Alien Metals only 12 months back.. so not to be dismissed..
Hi Pashman
As you say, this news "is not earth shattering".
My own view is that there is a lot of what diplomats refer to as "back channel" conversations going on between Alien and other parties and the RNS released this morning is only a small indicator of what is really going on. We still know the EH assay results news is imminent and maybe, just maybe, those will be released consecutively or even concurrently with news of a JV for that project.
As with a couple of other investors here I am very long on Alien and here for the medium to long term so "patience" is the key word. Some may see this lack of whistle and bangs news as an indicator of "bumbling". My preference is to see it as a company moving cautiously, carefully and with managed expectations. I prefer HODLOE - high on delivery vs low expectations to HOPLOD - high on promise low on delivery.
Keep the faith and good luck every one.
Istie
Exactly..oh to see a good blue day here..
13400 was my purchase :) 1277441 shares
I think it happens on every rns will probably finish flat like the last 8
News hasn't gone down well with the market's back in the red
Also there are tailings at Los Campos that I am sure Alien will look into processing to generate near-term cashflow and further minimise dilution.
At current silver prices, it's very profitable and hopefully the price of silver will be much higher when we come to sell.
This is just a start of newsflow. If ppl can't be patient then they should move on. There's plenty out there to make a quick buck on. This is a min of 12 months for me. This just shows there's much more going on than just waiting on iron ore numbers. Well done to the team for being busy and searching out new money making plays. The big news is just around the corner.
I have the same opinion I think its good. I like to think that EH research is now paying for itself . I also like that management arent just sitting around taking a wage but moving on all fronts .
Although not Earth shattering still good news with revenue incoming relatively soon, funded for most this year and this could prevent further dilution so has to be very positive. - Assay results from sampling expected late February 2021 On iron ore so expected any day as well Gla
Little Futurama reference to start the day. Markets greeted the RNS in subdued fashion. But then it's not a game-changer on its own. However, accessing these tailings as a quick turnaround cash generator could be.
As (I think) normbeef has pointed out, something like £1.5-2M income means no placings needed in 2021. Which should reassure investors greatly. OR it could give UFO the funds to acquire another site which could add future value.
So yes, on its own today's news isn't going to mean we can all retire. But it could be a good step forward.
Morning all because they are tailings it may be as simple as sending them to a near by plant for processing. Pay the process charge and away you go no licences involved.
I’ve been trying to find out about Wombat resources and cannot find anything. Suppose we will and up giving them a percentage for the silver extracted. Watching gold Rush around 10%.
Be interesting to try and find the nearest processing plant and costs. Would have to be better than trying to do it ourselves and would have to be more cost effective. Any thoughts.

It's all about the of silver. The previous owners didn't bother with the tailings since the price of silver in 2000 when they stopped operations was $4/oz.
With the current silver price, the tailings become very profitable.
Personally, I am expecting silver prices to go significantly higher by end of year when we start selling the silver.
Except its blue
napthman. You might be right. However, maximum economic value will come from a chemical process. I'm thinking that our amiable, slightly bumbling, leader is planning on ruthlessly getting every last cent of value out of our assets. Might Bill be modelling himself on RBW's George Bennett?
Forrest i wouldn't think so, this is because the original owner didn't have a good plant to get the most out of the ground. not that they might not do that at a later stage
Classic, rns for ufo equals a red day like the last 10 rns's.
Couldn't writte this s###
