This is just a start of newsflow. If ppl can't be patient then they should move on. There's plenty out there to make a quick buck on. This is a min of 12 months for me. This just shows there's much more going on than just waiting on iron ore numbers. Well done to the team for being busy and searching out new money making plays. The big news is just around the corner.
I have the same opinion I think its good. I like to think that EH research is now paying for itself . I also like that management arent just sitting around taking a wage but moving on all fronts .
Although not Earth shattering still good news with revenue incoming relatively soon, funded for most this year and this could prevent further dilution so has to be very positive. - Assay results from sampling expected late February 2021 On iron ore so expected any day as well Gla
Little Futurama reference to start the day. Markets greeted the RNS in subdued fashion. But then it's not a game-changer on its own. However, accessing these tailings as a quick turnaround cash generator could be.
As (I think) normbeef has pointed out, something like £1.5-2M income means no placings needed in 2021. Which should reassure investors greatly. OR it could give UFO the funds to acquire another site which could add future value.
So yes, on its own today's news isn't going to mean we can all retire. But it could be a good step forward.
Morning all because they are tailings it may be as simple as sending them to a near by plant for processing. Pay the process charge and away you go no licences involved.
I’ve been trying to find out about Wombat resources and cannot find anything. Suppose we will and up giving them a percentage for the silver extracted. Watching gold Rush around 10%.
Be interesting to try and find the nearest processing plant and costs. Would have to be better than trying to do it ourselves and would have to be more cost effective. Any thoughts.

It's all about the of silver. The previous owners didn't bother with the tailings since the price of silver in 2000 when they stopped operations was $4/oz.
With the current silver price, the tailings become very profitable.
Personally, I am expecting silver prices to go significantly higher by end of year when we start selling the silver.
Except its blue
napthman. You might be right. However, maximum economic value will come from a chemical process. I'm thinking that our amiable, slightly bumbling, leader is planning on ruthlessly getting every last cent of value out of our assets. Might Bill be modelling himself on RBW's George Bennett?
Forrest i wouldn't think so, this is because the original owner didn't have a good plant to get the most out of the ground. not that they might not do that at a later stage
Classic, rns for ufo equals a red day like the last 10 rns's.
Couldn't writte this s###
pops. Won't tailings require chemical extraction? If so, there will be a lot of environmental box ticking. So I think it's a mid-term play before we see cash. Far quicker to make some money filling up a few lorries with DSO iron ore. People shouldn't be fooled - this is part of a clever long-term strategy. Don't expect jam today!

what can we also take from this, they are getting results back from the labs :)
Something exciting about rummaging through scrap metal. My dad and grandad made a buck from it, they would have loved to work on these silver tailings.
They took my idea in my garden to do digging hahaah

All the good news and the share price is down 2.09%
Good stuff bill. Seems he is always thinking what's next ! If certain projects are held up hes pushing on with what he is in control of which great I think. Good management . The profits here might not be life changing but think of it this way it's easy 2mill for which can be used to really sure up EH and that my friends could be share changing. Risk off in depth survey
We know mate...but this is old news , it came out 1 hour ago
Strange. LSE is showing a 4.65% increase in the share price even though it hasn't opened ?
Alien has signed a 60-day exclusivity agreement with Wombat Resources Pty Ltd, the owner of the historic tailings on site within the Elizabeth Hill mining licence in Western Australia, and will use the time to undertake further assessment of the tailings in situ and potentially negotiate an acquisition of the rights and title to the tailings project.

Contract is a good idea NB. Nice thinking.
In theory this would add 2/3m to the cash position of the company by the end of the year
For me that's about a 5% uplift on today's share price. Not earth shattering. But less dilution will be attractive. Look what the last few placings cost us in percentage.
Could be yet another great little move by bill.
I would suggest a nominal cost and then a share of the profits? No one knows a yet how this process will actually work. Perhaps they should talk to Goldplat about the best process for extraction?
Bill Brodie Good, CEO commented:
"We have been aware of the potential of historic silver tailings at Elizabeth Hill for some time. Knowing that the Elizabeth Hill silver mine's historic operations were somewhat inefficient and being very high-grade with abundant native silver we felt that, despite previous reprocessing activities, there is likely significant value remaining in the silver tailings.
I think at this stage in our process. This could be a fast buck. We could get a contractor in straight away and get going. Given we have no income £2m quid is not to be sniffed at.
Unless anyone would prefer a placing ?
