Hi Tom
I hope he's not looking after teenage grandkids like me :(( long half term 2 weeks :((((
This you tube what they watch is complete rubbish disturbing, can't get them to go outside for a walk
Will I survive:((
Hi Bamps,
Strange he has not posted for a few day's. Hope he's ok.
Hi Tom,
Been out all day on the fells, part of the Coast to Coast ( Nannycatch Gate, Uldale & Dent) - glorious Autumnal weather.
Did not end up any ditches although had a 2 mile detour due to Forestry felling -made it a 10 miler.
Just been processing photos (great light today) and planning tomorrows trek.
ATB
Troubls hi,
Sounds great, have a great one tomorrow :-))))
Cheers Tom - keep well.
Think we're all on a good thing here regards our investments in builders - no matter, what happens.
GLA
Hi troubles
My wife walked the coast to coast with her friend, apparently they were a day behind Mick Jagger and his dad :))
Probably because I had not set any deadlines, took my time and knew where I was going .
Hi Troubles
Congrats, Army saying "Proper Preparation Prevents ****Potical (or Poor) Performance", five P principle.
Has Bojo got a busted flush? I think he has alienated so many people there is no chance of his Deal being approved. Worse than TM's. From our point of view (as Bldrs shareholders), I think No Brexit is closer than ever.
A Napoleonic British General said "The Infantry don't understand their orders, the Cavalry disobey them and the Artillery have their own agenda". Where does Boris stand in that, or is it just all part of the plan?
No idea where how this will end, but I think No Brexit best, then No Deal, then BJ Deal. Doesn't really affect Bldrs values, just a matter of time before they are realised,

Hi Nige,
The latest shocking fact is that the Chief negotiator doesn't even know the details of the so-called deal (capitulation).
Even so, it will probably pass in principle with more time essential to discuss the details and with some amendments attempting to soften its impact - all theatre really as mentioned previously, and only a rehearsal for any forthcoming GE.
BoL
Hi Troubles
You got it spot on, but still amazes me that they could approve a worse Deal.
I think it was Barnier who said "these negotiations are waste of time", inferring there will be No Deal - always too difficult.
Even if a Deal, years of negotiations to follow that could take longer than No Deal, cos no basic Deal to revise. all is new.
So I think GE inevitable, choice Cons No Deal, Lab 2nd Ref, LibDems Remain In. None of the above include a Deal.
Most depressing but at least BoJo will make things happen. Every cloud... Corbyn has destroyed his party and I think LibDems will pick up seats from Lab and Cons to become serious contenders - but almost inevitable there will have to be another coalition.
BoL
Hi Nige,
It's much easier to determine short term (few days) probabilities than to make longer predictions or " preferences ".
IMO, this so-called PM is a disgrace , has no integrity left and not even fit to be an MP with idle threats from the despatch box before crucial votes. Any coalition with this incompetent liar would not benefit anyone.
Let's see if he 'pulls' the Bill after hearing from the EU.
He promised to die in a ditch and hopes to go into a GE saying it was Parliament (opposition) that prevented him from doing it.

Hi Nige, troubles
Tried to watch Question Time last night from South Shields, I was a bit taken a back by the hostility coming from the audience. 63% voted to leave in S Shields and that came over appallingly obvious with their anger.
The surprising thing is Nissan says their plant around there will become unviable with No deal and be closed down with thousands losing their jobs.
One woman on the panel said why would they close it down, it is a very productive plant.
Honda at Swindon was productive and that's going
They all had a very blinkered view of life after Brexit, I couldn't take anymore and switched it off
Hi bamps it seems as though parliament is doing there job well! Making everyone argue amongst themselves to forget why this has been made a hash and what the pro’s and con’s are. Pass the blame down the line if anything goes wrong, nobody will ever put their name to the decision! There will always be something or someone! Gla
Hi Bamps
The ridiculous thing is that Corbyn is trying to protect workers rights (via EU rules) whch Cons are trying to destroy (to make themselves richer), but the heartland of England have not got that message. Grenfell could not have happened if we had German Regs, and nothing is happening now cos BoJo has given up Govt!
Corbyn was always unelectable and would never have been Lab leader if Ed Milli had not changed the rules, and BoJo would not have been Cons leader (if someone? had not changed the rules), so left going further left while right going further right. Madness!
Consensus is what is needed and the only way is LibDems/SNP/DUP/Lab/Greens and Cons Rebels, to form a Coalition.
Cannot predict seats for each Party (but after GE) I am sure LibDems will gain loads of Cons/Lab seats and so No Brexit. Then LibDems a major Party and sort the ridiculous situation we are in (by the simplest solution).
But who knows?
Hi Troubles
I am sure "The Times they are A'Changing" and about time to. One of my favourite songs.
Still optimistic, but as I said if revert to pre Brexit Per's, this is less than revaluation of builders, if No Deal and the market is forced to revalue Builders. A Deal is the worst Deal, No Deal best long Term, No Brexit best Short Terrm (250+ 3 months after confirmed).
BoL
Hi Nige
Assuming EU give an extension on Monday to 31st January what affect do you think that will have on share price ?
I think parliament is having a vote in whether to have a 12th Dec election also on Monday, I don't think enough MPs will vote for that so by the end of Monday we might know that we have a new brexit deadline but no election. Will this be positive or negative on UK domestic share prices ?
Hi Nige,
I'm more interested in policies, but regards leaders, it may be worth noting Jo Swinsons voting record when in coalition with the Tories and just recently (Wed) regards privatisation of the NHS - not to mention her desire for Maggie statue etc....
Seems BBC wiped Javids interview from history regards Zombie Parliament, threat of strike and no budget etc....
Should be more fun next week with no doubt more threats, lies and desperate tactics.
Hi Johnson
Basically I only invest in Builders, so don't think about the rest of the Economy.
No idea of the effect on Sp, the question is share value, so doesn't really matter if Ltbh. Last I heard was that length EU would grant depended on when / if GE called, yet Corbyn is saying they will call an election depending on extension date?
Still think (in terms of Sp) things could get worse, so still have 50% float in cash, rest in bwy which I regard as being seriously undervalued now.
Hi Troubles
I know nothing about Jo Swinson and something must be done about NHS to make it Cost less to us. Time to look at other systems which work (Germany, N Europe and Aus, NZ). Would not disagree with a Statue to Maggi, at least she did what she thought was best for the Country, and to a large extent I think she succeeded, Caused other Issues though.
Fun next week? Yes for a Day Trader, but means nothing to Value. I will buy when this is all sorted.
BoL
Nige, not sure the aus health system is faultless as it costs patients at point of delivery e.g Call and Ambulance and it costs Over £1k . Some pensioners get the costs back! Funny how you see less ambulances on the streets there! Even GP's can charge over and above the 'medicare' allowance.
Meanwhile, I think housebuilders are cheap because , imv the no deal scenario is as good as a deal scenario to their profits - it is just group think by analysts.
BOL.
Hi Nige,
Maybe a statue in iron which was allowed to disintegrate slowly might be appropriate.
' When all is sorted ' - won't be around that long.

Some things to consider for the week ahead.
GLA
Hi Troubles
Just noticed on MSN that LibDems SNP going for GE 9th Dec (can't copy link?) Think this is big news. Not really bovvered about Reuters Global news, cos Builders are so insulated from that (even if the market doesn't agree), but do appreciate the info.
Seems again that Corbyn is becoming even more unelectable, cos unable to make any decision. Obviously he would have been asked if he would support their ideas, but still sits on some sort of fence. He hasn't even tried to say why traditional Lab supporters should support EU (cos I think he is against it, so he can form his own misguided Utopia).
From the article you quoted, 1 EU bank rates No Brexit at 50% now. Interesting Times.
Incidentally, would this have gone for 3 1/2 years if Maggi was there?
Hi Taverham
Don't know which is best so my idea is to look at similar systems and pick one to base our system on.
BoL
Hi Nige,
Knew about the proposal before my last post - IMO, very naive and desperate since if a deal is ratified before a GE, Lib Dems revocation of Article 50 is going to be meaningless - recall your prediction before Halloween (patience essential ATM).
Also as a change of law is required and all kinds of amendments might be passed which is probably why the Tories have been so dismissive. The same reasoning applies regards passing legistlation of the Withdrawal Bill.
The possibility of a no deal must be removed first in the best interests of the country and note that Labour MPs in key marginal seats ( mainly Brexit leaning) have now voted for a deal.
Opinion polls are meaningless unless one knows the exact question asked and in what context.
Thankfully Maggi's ghost will not re-appear around Halloween and is truly and honestly, ' dead in a ditch '.
BoL
Hi Nige,
Apologies - mentioned a 'deal' - really an agreement in principle of the 2nd reading of the Withdrawal Bill before full legistlation is passed as required by the Letwin amendment.
