SP went above for a short while today but failed to hold,ha well, maybe tomorrow??? it seems the company will have some fresh and hopefully commited directors to replace the 2 that left...............onwards and upwards..........GLA.............
Well done good news!! It is getting better!! http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-03-07/obama-to-propose-tax-credits-grants-for-alternative-fuel-vehicles.html
http://greenbuildingelements.com/2012/03/07/smith-electric-vehicles-launches-production-of-all-electric-newton-step-van/ . This is incredible news. doh...... £$£"$"£$
Profit is always good...........HOWEVER, I still think this sp has more legs and will move back to the 60s range shortly,hopefully.............ATB.....
My stop loss activated for the full amount at 53 pence; a very slight profit. I have watched these shares trade at a loss for two and a half years and I promised myself I would not let that happen again following this rise. Still, I have not given up hope for Tan and have a rising buy set just in case at 58. As for now, the hype of the IPO seems to have waned hence the drop.
Well, well we both agreed about the strange behavour of TAN's sp,and its on again...............the news we know about is positive, but the sp heading south,i did mantion a possibility of some retrace but i did not expected a big fall.having said that .always expect the unexpected with TAN,we should know it............... for the time i am keeing faith,if its gone below 50p perhaps its time to add more............ATB...........
Looks like Snorkel will be hiring more staff this year. The North East really is progressing well. This sudden drop caught everyone yesterday and I think it was down to nervy investor's setting their stops too close to the SP. Mine is a bit further back at 53 at the moment. On another note I had started reading the iii board again but now I see those two are at it again I will give up.
Good morning mate, like you said interesting time ahead.....................snorkel order book is full, and the latest news about the new cheaper batteries can make the electric vans/cars even more attractive. even the recent fund raising for 41p could not hold the sp back............are we going to see the good old days of 5 years ago??????????maybe nqt quiet, but defintely plenty to look forward for. ATB................
It certainly is interesting at the moment. More so then the previous two years doldrums. There is more to go in this growth spurt. A lot of the price jumps have happened when the American markets open; see yesterday for example, so there is interest over the water. Where will it end, I muse ? AS schlepper states, with Tan, anything is possible.
The thing with tan is that is never straight forward........looking at the latest news and you can not falt it,HOWEVER,the sp had a nice run lately so you always expect some retrace, still me think this sp has more legs to go..........
Well as always hard to call. Thinking of setting a stop loss now but not thinking of selling till 80p at least... Good hunting to all!
60p broken at last................can anyone see the next stop????????????
Saab- good find. With cheaper batteries in the pipeline the product will be more attractive. More reason why we should not be agreeing to an IPO.
I take this with a teeny bit of salt ... anyone remember St Helens Capital and their predictions ?
I think that you can forget any chance of this company taking any account of what may be best for the PIs; look at it's record!
I have held a long term view that an IPO is not necessary and would not be best for the P.I's in Tanfield. SEV is too good a golden goose to sacrifice for an IPO as it will be 'great little earner' in the medium future. That said, if it does go ahead I can see a price of 75-80p at the low end and £1 tops. We are recreating early 2009 across the market at the moment so the Spring will be good for lots of P.I's.
Good week indeed. Guys what are your thoughts regarding the impact of the IPO? At what price level do you think we can consider the IPO has been priced in? Cheers
Its still interesting to remember that TAN also has a presence in China. The coincidences just keep stacking up. I have no evidence of this but I would not be surprised if there was a re-merger / reverse take-over on the cards between these company's in a couple of years time. A very good week for us long term holders. I wonder if Myo is still out there watching ?
Sorry people ... that appears to be old news ... is there no editing facility on this site ... we can all make mistakes!
Courtesy of Access International Snorkel to grow US workforce more than 20% Written by Maria Hadlow - 23 Feb 2012 David Smith the president of Snorkel North America. Snorkel's North American President David Smith said that business outlook is such, that in the USA, the company expects to increase the workforce by 20 to 30% over the coming months. Mr Smith said, "We are going to be hiring across the board, from assembly line workers and supervisors to office-based functions like purchasing and finance." Previous recessions have forced the company to close the doors to its factory in Elwood, Kansas, causing mass lay-offs. This time, Snorkel downsized but survived - and said that with demand once more returning for aerial lifts it is recruiting this year. Snorkel recently announced it was raising an additional $19m from investors, to help increase production capacity in line with growing demand for its products. The company's order book is said to have grown 170% in recent months. "We have survived this prolonged recession because of the global nature of our business," said Mr Smith. "We have much better developed distribution channels and some of these markets were untouched by the downturn - Scandinavia is a classic example." Together with rental companies buying to replace aging fleet, Snorkel said it is also seeing strong demand from Latin America, driven by its booming mining sector and massive public works projects. The Elwood factory produces lifts for North America and Latin America. It is also Snorkel's global producer of big boom lifts. The global design engineering team, responsible for new product development, is also based in Elwood. "The downturn asked some hard questions of Snorkel as a company and I am proud that we answered them," said Mr Smith. "It was a tough recession but we have emerged a leaner, smarter company with a stronger product range. We'll be a more sustainable business through the upswing."
I was expecting a retrace but this is something else- over half the week's jump wiped out ! What on earth is going on ?
http://www.dft.gov.uk/news/press-releases/dft-press-20120221/ The good news for Smith's just got a bit better- £7000 per vehicle in fact ! I have looked at the list and have never even heard of the FAAM's or the Mia.
