Sorry, make that a 4 year low.
Would be good to have some positive news here, dropped again this week even though share buy back continuing, cash in the bank and continuing 5g roll out with diversified geographic revenue streams. Now at a 5 year low.
Because I have had an operation recently I have been watching the share price. General conclusions are that are drifting slowly up, however the drips up can be off set by a lurch down. Eg. 0.5p up and 1/2p down. Today I got excited when the SP rise by 2p that was before the RNS, then it dropped, therefore a few people must have known about it before it landed.
You would also think that the SP would rise a bit on the back of the buy backs, they are reclaiming 300-400k shares a day at a better price than they probably expected.
Surely on the back of the technology gains in the US where Spirent have increasing operations the share price should be flying?
In some previous RNS trading updates for example Spirent mentions winning new orders, gaining hyperscalers, acquiring logos etc. I'm assuming they are not permitted to write the names of actual businesses in these announcements. But by digging you can find out some names.
I would like to learn more about Spirent collaborations with other companies. It's only through digging a bit that you realise they are working with IBM and Palo Alto for example. In some ways I wish spirent would flag this up more to gain greater recognition for the work they do. A1 for example is currently in the media spotlight, are Spirent doing much there? Any extra info would be useful as a new shareholder.
I hope Vodafone and 3 do merge ....it is necessary IMO ..because Telecoms just cannot innovate in scale at the moment due to the seriously huge investment needed and the current poor return on that investment... consolidation has to happen to get to the scale that the Americans enjoy ..needed in the UK and EU area IMO
I think it will be good for spirent if there is not further consolidation in the market. Therefore, I will be happy if Vodaphone and 3 don't merge.
The cheaper they buy the shares, the better for the company in the long run.....plus...the more shares they can buy for their money, the more shares get taken off the market and away from the hands of traders and speculators.... all good in the mid-term IMO
Spirent
Nothing major there. Though nothing to negative . Some large buy prints showing up. Directors, II or just buyback? Gla
Buying any dip.at open.
You are right nothing new we didn't know ,we will see what the market thinks.
Seems not a lot has changed. What concerns me is that it’s not another DLG on the buy back front! Showing confidence in the business then it goes t*ts up. At the moment I’ll give the the benefit of doubt.

Spirent Communications PLC Trading Statement
I must admit I am a bit concerned that we are buying half a million pounds worth of shares a day and we still can’t hold 180 . That is not good . On a more positive note this is a 5 year low and we are a better organisation all round than we were 5 years ago . Priced rock bottom anything positive in the update should see us re rate north
Sorry my calendar had the TU down for today, but just checked their website it’s down for Thursday!
for, not the!
TU, holding my breath for this one. Will it be more doom and gloom or will we get a positive outlook? Oh well let’s hope the some good news.
One to sit and hold , at this price I feel it can only nudge north . I have nothing more than gut feeling but I do feel this will be getting looked at for take over. Time will tell
Things moving in the right direction...GS views are always contrarian!!!
Beginning to show some momentum on recovery.... good decision to soak up the overhang by using spare cash and start a buyback program....
GS suggesting to sell ...when the BOD are looking to BUY with buybacks .......GS need shares , hence a sell recommendation , by the looks of things
