Problem here is that they are very close to breaking covenants. Brokers will rerate down ward
ge0rge - I was on a free ride with Flybe - I sold down in mid Dec and closed out pure profit last week, albeit less than I hoped. Disgrace there. Looks like it has done it's worst here today. GLA
pans out
Liquidated last week
You could very well be right...an overreaction with the SP IMO...I will see how this owns out today and deside..
The first part of my strategy was to liquidate other gains to release funds for tonight's limit buy orders ...That part seemed to work.. so knowing my judgement the market won't prove volatile in next 24 hours...
My regrets for you with Flybe and I am sure you will recover from it
I assume a combination of no news on a new or revised debt facility and the fact they are approaching 4X on their net debt to ebitda covenant has spooked the Market this am? Otherwise their figures look ok.
ge0rge - I think the top up opportunity is today. Looking at our trading range over the past few months in particular, we were on a hiding to nothing today unless a rabbit was pulled out of the hat. Without tempting fate there is huge support at c£1, so I don't expect much further fall. We just need a bidder now. GLA
I wasn't being serious ..it's just the rertace seems very harsh ..No I am not hedging on a short.. I am a holder long term and think there maybe a top up opportunity tomorrow
Good luck with your investments
ge0rge123 - how can it be anything like averaging down on Flybe - that's been a gamble ever since they put the for sale sign up and once the middle of December had passed (which was a month for due diligence) most PIs should have sniffed a rat. What do you know of the fundamentals on Spire or are you just hedging your bets on a short?? The Brexit deal swould have limited impact on the business model but it does have a hand in when somebody decides to bid for Spire. GLA genuine holders.
their share pricing is crap
Averaging down with Flybe shares though I share Denby view..heavy defeat tonight and further opening retrace tomorrow..
Now at what level shall I place my limit order tonight...94 or 92.5
TLW - market sentiment and shorting has destroyed confidence in the share so you could almost guarantee that we were going to get a pasting this morning unless the figures were much better than had been already forecast, which they weren't. The figures don't justify the drop, but we're not on a level playing field at the moment. This is absolutely prime for a T/O bid now IMHO, particularly at these prices. It's a reasonably solid business and I don't think it can be long before somebody takes the plunge, MDC or otherwise. Undoubtedly we need to get that Brexit thing out of the way first. I'm guessing that a few stop losses have been triggered this morning. GLA
Can`t understand the drop, year accounts are fairly decent, pays a good dividend.
Topped up despite sitting on losses on this
900,000 shares sold @ 102p during the last 20 minutes. I don’t get the logic of this, other than that the sellers are aiming to drive the share price lower. Time to leave this alone, and get on with something more positive.
GreenWolf. Your instincts were 100% correct. The interim statement does not appear to merit the market reaction. However, today’s reaction may prove to be positive from a LTH’s prospective as potential takeover aspirants could well choose to buy at the current prices. It is a shame that this had to happen amidst the Brexit shambles; the current crop of inadequate politicians are having a huge impact on share markets at the moment; their constant bickering and lack of unity does not inspire confidence. As regards Spire Healthcare, it looks as though I may be holding fast for some time. My regards to all long term investors and day traders in this company; good luck everyone, we shall all need it during the current political shambles.
just filled my bucket we will see what profit i will make :-)
Doomsday to-morrow lol if we get bad results not good and when the P.M gets shot down we will go down???
Wolf I hate sorters better off with out them
Denby - shorting again?!!
wolf .
I hope we are :-)
You could be right but surely the BOD are doing sometig behind the scenes. Might have to wait a bit for some good news unfortunatley.
Why do i get the feeling we're in for a rough ride tomorrow? GLA
The 2018 Full Year Trading Update will be announced at 7am on Tuesday, 15 January 2019.
TOW- I'll second that. We have our annual post close trading update due, which will be interesting and undoubtedly our future share price will reflect what's in it. GLA
I have no idea denby69. It is difficult to predict share price movements at the best of times, but the current political shambles and its effect on markets adds another layer of difficulty. The share price has dropped well below that level before, so that anything is possible.
Good luck with your timed trading; I wish you every success. Personally I am a LTH with a major shareholding. If there is a takeover bid raising the share price above 180p anytime during the current year, I will be more than satisfied.
what do you recon say drop to 103 or even more lol
