Tend to agree, in part with your thoughts. I would add that with the change in comms provider (Sarah Dees - not on the scene) it maybe that the leaks have been plugged. Also there has been a fair amount of focus in the press about AIM companies and their potential to, let’s say bend the rules. That it maybe be a tighter ship.
I have had the same template email from FS.
Let’s just hope the Graham and the team have returned from the Christmas Break. They maybe all still on a 2 month cruise around the Caribbean. To be honest we would not know if they are.
Re the lack of comms, one thing i would very freely admit, if the next communication from the company is actually actually actually positive (as opposed to on the face of it looking positive, then once you read the detail and crunch a few numbers it's not at all - i.e. pretty much every SOU RNS since early 2017), then I would definitely have to say that i'd be incredibly impressed at how well said positive news has been kept confidential. I'd have thought the nature of the large and varied number of stakeholders involved in so many moving parts would make a "leak" highly likely if news was good, but there is no such sign still. with a mcap of aroud £11m, the upside % could make such shenanigans quite compelling for a naughty boy or girl involved in this palava. i personally decided back in October the company was in no mood to share information as the past, it remains the same to this day. Leaves this a full on Vegas black or red job, although i don't see the odds of good/bad news as being 50:50, but it's pretty sure whatever the news the sp will move.....just a case of which direction.
I`m staying to the end, which I hope after 13years will be a great success story, but I must admit the frustrations regarding comms do certainly feel justified now and I think it`s about time GL should at least keep us in the picture so that we have an idea what is going on. GLA
What is Sarah even doing if they are diverting emails. She's meant to be head of investor relations. Busy at Echo?
I agree the communication from the company to us long suffering investors is dreadful and downright rude.
As for the pipeling talk ... the magnitude of planning and funding for a project like this would be daunting anywhere let alone an unstable West and North Africa Region.
I personally doubt it will ever even start. It will an opportunity for people to get their hands in the cookie jar and i will be dead.
I would like to see a return here for the genuine ones but unless GL learns how to run a business and keep the investors informed i fear another AIM company failure.

Becoming a major player in Morocco?

Maybe we are being sold as a whole job lot ?
Agree dangler. Feels like Graham and Sarah have given up. I know the feeling.
Something going on in the background, maybe a board reshuffle, who knows, but a strange lack of communication to say the least. Calvalley and the bank must be wondering what's going on., surely.

Comms from Flagstaff………..mmmm Not the best.
Also directed to flagstaff some weeks ago after always getting a response from Sarah. Doesn’t bode well in my book, I suppose the lack of information has increased the questions sent by shareholders and they then decided to divert us, personally I’ve held since 2010 but loyalty seems unrewarding !
Ktf,
Yep, and just to let you know I have also experienced the same standard email response back a few times now, as I am sure others would.
In summary, no info or updates are being given at this time.
Read into that what you will , but its not exactly pleasing for shareholders and a comprehensive update of everything , and fast is now desperately required from Graham.
Are a definite retrograde step. Previously Sarah did pass on questions to Graham and he did answer as well as he could withing the rules.
I was never given any price sensitive information, but his replies (via Sarah) did give a flavour of things.
The new approach with comms apparently outsourced to Flagstaff doesn’t work for me.
Admittedly they do reply quickly, but I suspect the questions never reach Graham’s desk. The replies are only ever ‘news will be given via RNS’
Not a lot of use when the question was ‘why no RNS?’
Might work better than conclusions from your research.
My crystal ball tells me cavalley deal is sooooon ..sound boy.always right.
Its the lack of updates thats most frustrating at the moment. These things do go over but there should be some form of communication coming from the company to explain where they are at and what the issues are. It almost a month since the extension expired . The Calvalley deal needs updating ( I still think the Yemen problem will be taking up a lot of their time now). It would be nice to hear, or see, an update on the Micro LNG project although the Half year report in September stated that the major parts wouldn't be delivered on site until end of 2023/early 2024... but the SP wont move much until things are seen to be happening ....GLA
And its nearly Feb.
Is it a question of no news is good news here when news finally arrives?
Or has it all gone belly up?
Some views from the less prolific posters on here would be really useful?
(as I am already well aware of the usual suspects views )
Cheers and good luck all
I like gardening think it's a SOUND job.very peaceful
I Like Gardening and listening to the birds in the Trees.
Love the SOUND - BUY BUY BUY
KEELEY, why did you answer my weekend post? Did you think I was posting positive news, you immediately went on the attack (on a BB board for a share you do not hold). You are very easily wound up aren't, you when you think someone is trying to ramp. Look at my status, it says 'No Opinion'. I'd have thought all your City experience, coupled with your many years in the O&G industry and in depth knowledge of N Africa would settle you down. On a brighter note, a new week for you to look forward to. Think of all the positive notes you can write on your lunch break.
Oil and Gas Undergoing Historic Consolidation Wave.
Changes are happening all the time going forward.
If you start a pipeline you finish a pipeline.
If you have a Pipeline, It’s abut like mowing the lawn and watering plants, which will also be happening very soon.
Are you ready for Spring SOUND - BUY BUY BUY
Where is the excitement?
Gone with the snake.
Another pointless and baseless post soundboy. like chucking darts blindfolded. I tell you what, if you post, ‘news this week’ every weekend for the next 5 months, you’ll probably be right at least once. Watch out for the incoming abuse from ktf annd others about weekend posting btw. Just figured, you’re the same poster as pescado, same style, same content, same meaningless valueless garbage.
Smuggler, I know it’s years away, you didn’t answer my question. You seem ‘challenged’ responding to on topic questions. Nothing in that article was good for sound yet you posted it anyway. You seem unable to join the most basic of dots. Stick to something simpler and less risky perhaps, like gardening?
Two’s Up this is like a a tandem.
No wonder this is taking so long.
Both pipelines ALGERIAN AND AFRICAN could be viable for Europe, as the continent would not want to overly rely on "a single player" for its energy supplies, Machrouh said.
But they would also come online as Europe engages in longer term efforts to wean itself off fossil fuels -- including gas.
During a January visit to Rabat, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said of the pipeline: "You have to consider when it will be finished. Will we still want to use gas, methane “
A senior European diplomat, speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, put it more bluntly: "In the future, we won't be buying gas any more.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Mine was Sound - BUY BUY BUY
Not as odd as your constant posts KEELEY. How long do you think that pipeline will take to build? Do some research and come back when you've found an answer. There's a good boy / girl.
Exciting week coming up.hold on to your hats
