Moroccan gas will soon be sold on European markets after British company "Sound Energy" has obtained approval from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and the Environment to assess the environmental impact of the gas pipeline, which will '' extend over a distance of 120 km between the wells of the Tendrara natural gas field and the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline.

The Moroccan government is satisfied with international companies’ exploration work in eastern Morocco. In December 2019, Morocco’s Minister of Energy Aziz Rabbah said that 13 companies are exploring gas in Morocco. He added that the gas wells recently explored in Tendrara in eastern Morocco will meet 30% of the country’s oil demands.
