Don't normally post at weekends ,but with the high stakes next week and current shenanigans of majors......
It would be good to get some proper direction on where this company is going and for longterm ,suffering, loyal shareholders to get something out of this mess.
I'm in two minds to add now even although i have just sold one of my properties and have cash in the bank ready to go....i thought 24p was the bottom here followed by historical bounces back to 31p then on to close to 40p solgold has repeated this formation over the last few years.
I think a lot long-termers here are right its time to pack up and move on .....i think even nick would agree it's time to give this one up and retire gracefully. I would just love if nick has something up his sleeve and throws the final spanner in the works to get him and us over the finish line .
good luck all
P.s. i know nick is no longer running things ,but it would be good to see him influence others to get one up on Bhp and the like
Nick wants to cash in on Cascabel and rinse and repeat across the portfolio. He said as much in one of the recent DGR releases.
Sharketmare,
I missed that then ... good to hear.
I just hope we don't get shafted next week
Josepi, I’d think even if all resolutions go through positively, you will still have plenty of time to top up sub 20p.
Many have made repeated claims of topping up at these low levels…. At mid 20s, again at low 20s, claimed to be happy to top up in the high teens etc… all those purchases are now underwater… some significantly… I don’t think you will need to rush.. but I’d like to be wrong.
Ortherncopper,
I've been here on and off for 10 years.......
Solgold has always been good to me as a fairly novice trader. The share always bounces at 24p upwards to 30p then either back to 24p or upwards to 40p roughly over the past 5-10 years.
I haven't seen it like this before when it goes below 24p and contontinues to fall , hence why i bought another 20k at 18.6p
I'm tempted to go big at sub 15p ,but i don't think it will happen . we shall see.
SharketMare in the interests of accuracy.
That's not quite what he said.
First of all it was a presentation given by DGR not Solgold, so it was from DGR'S perspective.
What was said that eventually DGR'S shares in Solgold would be sold.
Nothing to do with any bid.
Q, so do you believe DGR will sell in the open market; or will they sell to another interested party in an off-book transaction?
To my mind, neither of these two things are remotely likely. He can't sell in the market without crashing the shares and his personal holding with it, and he would be a fool to sell without an auction. This is his baby and he isn't going to throw the towel in unless it's payday. This tells you all you need to know about the DGR statement.
I agree addicknt, but the statement stands from what NM said while representing DGR.
I think the most likely outcome is he sells when either we are a producer or on our way to production, and the share price is in a good place.
DGR and Mather will sell to the highest final bidder...
Redknight, I will sell to the highest bidder .
Joking aside,
Can Nick sell his shares as he likes to say one of the Majors without going through the same process as private investors?
That question is open to anyone.......
Many thanks .
Good evening Josepi.
The answer is yes Nick can sell his shares at anytime like any private investor.
And indeed he does sell some every year to give money to charity.
Shares in DGR and Tenstar, which Nick has influence over, would only be sold as an asset of the company, so Nick cannot sell those without permission.
Yes ! Whoever he likes !!
Josepi, I ma not an expert but I think he can sell his hares to anyone he likes. However, if as a result the major's holding reaches target at which bid is triggered then they have to offer to buy our shares at the same price
Hi Quady,
I assume with Nicks Affiliation -connection to DGR he has other joint loyalties .......
Who's permission does he need to sell his shares ? apologies if this is obvious ?
Gents,
hopefully not opened a can of worms here.......
It's a genuine question ...... can nick offload his shares without consulting the market ? or is he bound by the same rules as us mere mortals ?
Nick will sell his shares when he thinks an offer is acceptable
Could he in theory sell 90 million shares to DGR using their broker at a specific time of day for example .....
DGR ask for 90 million shares and he is willing to offload.... is theoretically possible ?
Who do you have to check with first Josephi ?
Yes …. He is however an insider. So there are plenty of “closed periods” where he would not be able to buy or sell either his personal holding or yhosd he holds through DGR
Not2sure,
i don't understand your question ?
Who do i ? can you elaborate the question ....
Many thanks
dreamboatwarrior,
He can offload providing there no significant events in the offering ......ie during quiet periods where T/O are non existent.
Theoretically…. But he won’t
