15/12/2022 Scott Caldwell:
"The entire team at SolGold is working tirelessly to ensure all shareholders and other stakeholders are rewarded for the world class discovery in Cascabel and our portfolio of assets across Ecuador. We appreciate all the support we have received to date from stakeholders and are committed to our objective to maximize shareholder value."
thanks for maximising shareholder value, Scott
Bozi - I tend to agree as people like Fort will talk their own book and he/she may well be selling first thing. We will never know. Fact is that the news is another negative here along with the Sedar report which pointed IMO to a protracted process. I fully suspect that we will drift downwards over the next weeks and months. Won’t be popular with those who are in denial here about the total shambles management have caused over the past 2 years.
Mathers - by a half decent board do you mean one that doesn't discuss the risks?
There's plenty of reasons to not be tolerant of the person operating that account; their stinking superiority complex for one, but just because they have opinions you don't agree with isn't one IMO.
I do think they have a right to oppose the views put out by Fort last night, which are frankly ridiculous as far as I'm concerned. Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to incur even £1bn of costs to take out SOLG in the knowledge that there's another £4bn to come in a country where the political regime is again uncertain.
That's why the SP is reacting as it is this morning.
No matter what you say I can't read your posts ,I suggest others filter you both
Bubble. That my friend is the funniest post I've ever read.
BALANCED BOARD. HILARIOUS MATE
Quady that's both of them filtered now a balanced board
AAC,your earthling in disguise too am sure so your on filter too now ...it starts with a bell, then an arrow pointing to the right then the word end full stop go figure
Addicknt very soon imho
It appears all of the work currently being undertaken by the company is desk-based and largely being conducted elsewhere (heaven knows what our on-site employees are doing), you'd assume any short-term disruption caused by current events will not effect us. We are also led to believe the local community supports our efforts and needs the income provided by us. We also know we are not in a protected area.
Obviously, political upheaval doesn't help, but to the extent that anything is secure in Ecuador and on a scale of risk, you'd think Cascabel is at the less risky end of the spectrum. I suppose my argument is you can't tar every mining prospect with the same brush.
Personally, I'm slightly surprised we haven't seen an announcement from the company, although it's early days and I'm sure they're trying to get as much info as possible before commenting.
Good morning killjoy.
To be honest I myself am not sure why I engage with him.
This is such a dishonest poster.
I think to have such a childish outlook of the world, is maybe what encourages this individual.
Killjoy
Exactly what I have been saying, all complain then talk to the wally, ignore if you want a half decent board, trouble is too many have to reply and off it goes again.
Lost many good posters through wallies entertaining the fools, that’s life I suppose, atb
Good morning killjoy
Quady, I just don't understand why you engage with him.
Last line should read your turn now.
So needalife two questions.
Are you selling if not why not?
Yesterday you said a major shareholder sold out of Solgold.
Yet when asked who that was you declined to answer.
I answered all your questions yesterday even the ridiculous ones.
Your term now.
Sorry quady forgot to mention the 3rd report authur.
BNamericas.
Not a news paper either.
What do we do?
For 27 years, our experts across Latin America have analyzed the main economic and political trends in the region, providing thousands of global companies with crucial information to make the right business decisions in Latin America. We also track in detail thousands of key projects, companies and contacts, so that each of our clients can connect with the right opportunity at the right
Who do you think I should take notice of. 3 experts in there field or a keyboard jockey. Mmmmm let me think.
But while on the subject of newspaper reports. It appears the western called it right about FMG pulling out. Because of political uncertainty.
Now please read the post thoroughly before rushing to post in anger.
I'm sorry quady old mate. You must of either misread my post, or read what you wanted to read not what was posted. I never mentioned newspapers.
One of the reports was from reuters
The other from well respected Latin American mining investor Otto Rock.
And I'm still waiting for your responce as to why you can't understand why no one wants us. And that was before yesterday's bombshell.
JEEZ, smell the coffee quady
It appears elections will be held within the next 90 days and whoever is elected will govern until May 2025, which was the date when Lasso's term of office was due to expire.
Needalife this is all rubbish.
In the UK we have different parties.
Some to the left, some to the right.
We have newspapers who say lots of things and scare people.
It's the same in every country.
Whoever gets in business continues.
It's the same in Ecuador.
I suggest you take your own advice and sell up
If not why are you posting this rubbish.
If you are not Earthling, then you are his clone, as he was bitter.
Bubble. I know you told me an election was a couple of years away, and I was talking rubbish to suggest otherwisr, and it wouldn't effect solg anyway.
But do you think I should worry about today's headline in Bnamericas.
"Ecuador's political crisis expected to cripple mining sector
Mining projects will be severely affected by Ecuador’s political crisis, no matter the outcome."
This report from reuters after the local elections in Feb of this year doesn't bode well for the general elections.
Coupled with the landslide approval of an anti-mining referendum in Ecuador’s third largest city, the writing could not be more up on the wall for mining’s future.
If you still don’t see the writing on the wall, the other interesting and painful statistic for the mining sector is that the most openly pro-mining candidate Geovanni Andrade, received just 0.22% of the votes. Out of a field of 16 candidates, he came in next-to-last.
I also urge you to read the Latin American mining investor Otto Rock’s Feb 9th blog post at inknews.com where he recommends that: “If you are still long Ecuador miners, you are a lucky person who has been offered a final chance to get out at a reasonable price so take that opportunity and don’t look back
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
I've just caught up with the news.
Couple of serious questions. Firstly for bbg and fdjyn,
Do you think this snap election call, with all of the uncertainty will effect your claim last week, that no news from solg, is good news, as it shows a sale is imminent.
Secondly, padmaster, do you think the derampers are behind the election call.
Lastly for quady, do you think the political uncertainty and unrest wich is sure to follow, will effect any cash raise required.
Has something happened overnight?.
I've just had a report that a Chinaman was last seen running to the airport in equador with a case full off money, to catch the last plane of the day out.
Surely not, do you think it could be some sort of political unrest?. I hope not because if it is and the Chinaman has changed his mind. It could be a major issue with any cash raise we need.
If anyone has any info on what's happened, please share it
What's the boards take on it.
Like you'd know.
rampers having to work extra hard tonight. good effort, lads- keep it up. it's not pi55, everybody, it's rain! it's not ****, it's fertilizer! it's not a political stalemate forcing an unprecedented temporary power grab, it's an opportunity!
jesus wept.
