You're lying Jezzoo, but I will let people read your posting history, it's there for everyone to see.
57 really.
I sold my business in 2003 at the age of 39 and haven't got my hands dirty since.
And if you think your secret is averaging down, well I hate to tell you this but other people do that too.
Mind blown eh !
So you can stick your sweeping statements, huge assumptions and patronising in your portfolio.
"It's not an assumption Jezzoo, those were your words. Your investments are not good."
What words were they then ? I didn't mention any.
And my investments are not good ?
Pray tell what they are then .
Because for the last 3 years 90% of my porfolio has been BP, Shell. I3E and other oilies, all up over 100% over that period and trading the large swings over the last 18 months has doubled that. Fossil fuels have been good for me unlike your renewable fund.
I don't use Twitter. HH was a good contributor to this board and it's a pity he no longer bothers, but he knows no more than the rest of us.
Usual month end fund tidy up. Like I said earlier... becoming the norm.
Someone snaffled them up though!
SH, you were attempting to downplay the cost because you hadn't bothered to establish what the percentage actually is and your sarcasm can't disguise your ignorance, petal.
It's not 10,000 pounds .
The average 3 bedroom house can have all the radiators replaced, a new intelligent hot water tank and a heat pump for under 4,000 pounds including the 7,500 pound grant which is available to everyone, not means tested.
Add, I noticed that HH has responded to you on twitter regarding your earlier response to my post😆
Slug you cannot be that dim, OK maybe you are.
This won't happen by 2050 forget what government wants.
Market forces will make gas redundant.
As we get more renewables electricity will become cheaper and gas more expensive.
It will be the same as people switching from coal to gas.
Or in your case from having an outside toilet instead of having one in the house.
People will change when it's financially viable.
Eventually new houses won't have gas.
Uncrossing Trade: During the auction period, there may be a point (or price) at which the best BID and best ASK match and a trade takes place. This trade on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) is known as an Uncrossing Trade.
How do you replace 31 million gas boilers at a cost of at least £10,000 each?
What about all the gas cookers?
Where do people who can’t make ends meet get a spare ten or twenty grand from to update their heating system to something inferior?
The problem with you climate goons is that you can’t apply simple economics to your utopian ideologies
Even if a family has £10k spare, are they more likely to spend it on a dream holiday or a new heat pump?
It beggars belief how stupid the people are who think this will all happen by 2050
ADVFN has 2,228136 buys to 10,820685 sells. Not good
‘Buy
That's why you don't understand investment Jezzoo.
You look at a price and say it's gone down.
Why's that?
Solgold was once 80 pence a share everyone shouting buy.
I did the maths and bought 1.8 million at 4.6 pence a share.
My average.
I do the same for other shares.
I know how to value a company.
I also know when to take a calculated risk and when not.
Most of my portfolio is extremely boring.
But I was retired comfortably at 57.
A bit or sell?
8,697,673 U trade dressed as a sell at 9.2p
What is a U trade ppl
It's not an assumption Jezzoo, those were your words.
Your investments are not good.
We are producing battery storage that can power towns and cities.
Gas will become more expensive in the transition.
We used to have coal fires and paraffin heaters.
My parents had both.
Gas will go the same way and faster than you think.
Once we are 90% renewables, then gas is dead.
People will have no choice.
Both
Not printed yet, big balls or decent intel?
All in!!!!
Thanks add- could you just pop a quote on here where I said it was insignificant?
'just a fraction' means it is not multiple of GDP. It's less than an 11th. That's just a fraction.
Any questions? No? Great. Feel free to keep providing your input though my lovely- it's always welcome 🥱
No Add, you just refuse to accept that we are going nowhere pretty fast. At least you have accepted that we will be having a 2024 agm. You should start working your excuses why we should vote for Scott. Now, those excuses I am sure will be beyond asinine😆
You’re right Quady I haven’t researched battery tech but go ahead and tell me…how much can you store, what space does it take up and how much does it cost?
How does it power a gas hob or the 31 million homes in the U.K. that are powered by a gas boiler?
"Jeezoo one of the reasons you are really not good at investing is you don't understand how the world works. "
That's a big assumption Quady but I'm not surprised, after all you do know EVERYTHING about EVERYBODY.
As I said, it's such a good investment that if you put £100 in 12 months ago, including the dividend you would have £80 in your bin. The future is not ours to know, not even you.
Usual end of the month trading for SOLG. Always seems to end the month with selling or a drop and then starts the next month very well.
With MD&A due may 15th and MSCI May 14th... there's a window there for Bob and co to get some news out. If short term funding resolved, then re-entry into MSCI could see a move back to the 14p level pretty fast imho.
From there... we would see circa 2 weeks or 3 weeks left before the all important deadline for the exploitation agreement to be activated by SOLG.
It's hotting up and the green lines seem to be coming thick and fast these days. BHP and Anglo battle going to light up the entire mining sector. Just watch it unfold.
