So, he's invited 'creep ownership' has he? Where's the evidence to support that, and why do you think it would be in his interests to do so? How exactly do you think he's able to control the share price?
Agree Fort.
Its decision/news time
Adikt. I read with interest your unfounded claim that the Ecuador government is prioritising solg.
Another of your thoughts being turned into facts.
There are several companies at similar stages to solg.
One of which I have a bit tied up in.
CURIPAMBA (EL DOMO).
Gold and copper, they have the environ licence.
And fully expect to start construction shortly.
Please, start stating your theories as theories. And not facts.
I wouldn't worry about that Quady.
Solgold have been meeting their (relatively modest) minimum spend commitments.
It may actually help Solg - focus on the top 10/20 instead of trying to keep 80+ (including ex-CGP concessions) going...
... and force some JV/farm-out of those lower down the priority list?
The reopening of the mining cadastre is likely to have a bigger impact.
Management really need plans for Cascabel/Porvenir and priority regionals sorted.
DBW,
Any update would be welcome. The most important being capital raised to continue in business. That's all the market is interested in right now.
Cash pile is sub $10m now .. likely around $8.5m. The accounts need to be officially signed off by end of this month. Technical report requiredas well. Basically.... they have 3 weeks to confirm everything and as per usual it's all 'last minute.com' with SOLG.
Why of why can't they be more organised? If they were, then we'd probably be around 12p levels now rather than 6p or 5p.
Bob has thrown the sp to the wolves and invited 'creep' ownership. Perhaps he's trying to flush out pi's and replace them with smarter hands?
Q, perhaps it will focus minds on getting one of those fabled JVs done on one of our many regionals!
I don't like the announcement that the government of Ecuador is going to accelerate the withdrawing of concessions that are not used.
How do we stand with that.
Announced at PDAC.

"Bristow added that Barrick has put a particularly strong focus on exploration in Latin America, ..."
Bbg, you've been telling us for weeks fmg are lining us up.
Convinced you was.
On your advice I brought 8000000 more fmg shares. Hoping to make a killing.
Imagine my horror, when I read your posts today. Telling us Barrick are certs to buy us.
All this flip flopping, I'm totally confused now.
It reminds me of your flip flopping, on which country you live in..
I'm trying my hardest to heed your advice. But mate!!!!
Excellent, great news - a big tick in the box! Thanks for sharing it. Solg with largest tenements, bodes very well indeed.
Full steam ahead....upcoming funding news next !
GLA
On this we agree addicknt.
However it could be other majors are of the same opinion.
Hence more weight to the weight have to take this to production to extract greatest shareholder value.
Q, in his previous comments about us he said we don't fit their criteria, which, given we meet many of his requirements, may well relate to grades, although I suppose the previous capex may also have deterred him. Obviously the new PFS changed the capex, but I got no sense of him being interested in us.
I remember not very long ago he said "we know about Solgold..."
Also he has been quoted as saying they have moved their focus from solely gold to copper gold prospects.
I dont believe Barrick can be completely excluded from consideration especially as there is now only 9 years of gold left in active mines...
With the Gold price setting new highs I believe we are on the verge of a scramble for gold and especially Junior Gold Mining companies.
Scot and Willem Middelkoop have positioned us as such...
Watch GDXJ...
Does anyone know who the people in the photos are?
I got from the video, that they want to eek out as much as they can from their current portfolio.
They don't want to buy discoveries, they want producing mines at a reasonable price.
To buy a discovery, they want high grades.
We are not high grades, we are massive in material, but not high grade.
We are required to take this to production, so then we can then increase mine life, with increased profits.
This BBG character believes I'm a deramper and has me on filter, however his observation is somewhat at odds with my reading of the interview. I suggest you listen to it to make up your own minds.
I'd love to be wrong, but I just didn't get the sense we are on their radar, particularly as Bristow has said as much in the past and he doesn't strike me as a person who changes his mind easily.
Barrick has big plans for Ecuador.
3 months ago they secured 40k ha of tenements, and made an undertaking to ENAMI to spend $100m on exploration (with a $27m min spend).
M&A is an option for Barrick per video.
The strange thing is that when Bristow describes his plans for Barrick and what it looks for in terms of investment, we fit the bill to a tee. However, it's equally clear his priorities lie elsewhere and although they have a small interest in Equador, it doesn't seem as if they're really giving it much attention. I think we can ignore them as potential acquirers/partners.
Very interesting interview.
Explains the way forward, for Gold/Copper producers,

If you haven't done it already, it's worth googling Noboa/PDAC. There are a number of articles referring to his speech as well as some identifying the problems which still exist for a number of projects.
These articles demonstrate the more or less unique position Cascabel occupies, in as much as it doesn't face the same opposition from environmental and indigenous groups and is clearly being given a degree of priority by the government.
If one of the majors is looking for entry into Ecuador, we are incredibly well positioned - but we all knew that.
However, despite assurances from the company over the years, it does make you wonder how many of our concessions will ever see the light of day and in some senses this is probably a good thing. To my mind, it's always been the case that we got greedy and bit off far more than we could feasibly chew.
Anyway, let's get this bloody IPA signed and then we can all breath more comfortably.
Good morning Darren.
Don't worry.
This share price is not being manipulated.
It's people with conspiracy theories.
Sometimes people sell out a position over time, this is how they get out without crashing the price.
.
Thanks and keep at it, Red! Your research and point of view is much appreciated!
