Interesting piece on TipRanks regarding an apparent transfer of shares between Nick Candy-controlled entities.

If accurate, the key point is that this looks like an internal reshuffle rather than any reduction in overall ownership. I haven’t yet seen the underlying company announcement, so worth checking the source documents before drawing firm conclusions.

Candy’s aggregate holding remains unchanged at 653m shares (21.87%), so there’s been no reduction in his overall exposure to MTL.

Either way, it doesn’t obviously explain the recent chunky sells being seen in the market.

IMO, the real prize isn't four reactors in Nottinghamshire; it's proving the technology at scale so Rolls-Royce can sell dozens globally over the coming decades.

After this RNS, I think the most important signal is that the board has granted diligence access. That increases the likelihood of a higher offer being explored, though there is no guarantee one arrives.

On MTL itself, tape still looks more like absorption than distribution around 13p.

Added another 25k sub-13p. Also quietly building elsewhere in the book on similar weakness - no chasing, just letting panic do the work.

A year of planning with Halliburton and experienced Arctic operators suggests the emphasis has been on preparation and execution, not simply promoting the resource potential.

No TR-1 yet - but not all positioning announces itself while it’s still being built.

Train’s clearly about to leave, some on the platform loadin, others still assuming there's time.

Not informationally significant by itself. The more interesting question is the other side: who is absorbing it? Because sustained supply with a stable price usually tells you more about demand than it does about the seller - imo.

My reading of the RNS and recent AGM comments, for what it’s worth:

Runruno pays the bills, La India could transform the company, and Batong Buhay may have arrived just as MTL needed its next growth engine.

Most junior miners spend years searching for a second act. We have found our third before the second has even reached first pour.

Based on the RNS, we have secured a very substantial economic interest while avoiding the foreign ownership complications that would arise if it tried to hold the mining title directly. The market will likely spend the next few weeks working through the detailed JOA terms to determine exactly how valuable that interest could ultimately prove.

Permits matter. Cash flow matters more.

Minor positive. 6.1m warrants have expired unexercised, removing a source of potential dilution. Not transformational, but directionally favourable for us, existing shareholders.

Lots of opinion, but very little that's actually new.

A permit not yet being granted is not the same as a permit being refused.

The key question is whether anything has materially changed. If not, then we're largely discussing timing rather than the existence of the project itself.

I'll continue to focus on official updates and milestones rather than assumptions.

You're arguing against a point I didn't make.

I said you'd expect trade classification to be more accurate in 2026, not that LSE currently has access to perfect information.

The fact that the system relies on estimates is exactly why obvious buys can appear as sells and vice versa. That's the issue being discussed.

As for people posting their buys and top-ups, I'm still not sure what your objection is. Investors sharing what they've done is no more or less relevant than investors repeatedly sharing why they think a stock will fail.

Both are opinions. The difference is one comes with money attached.
