Well expressed, orthern.
Slowest car crash in history....
Agreed
Cheers for this DBW… normally I would watch every webcast/streamed interview with keen interest.
But my interest/belief in our management is now so low I’m not sure I can bring myself to listen again to more talk of first mover advantage, generic pleasantries, talk of cabs off ranks and how the board are making good progress across our large portfolio… to a room full of industry people that have already heard it year after year.
The frustration is real
Not seen these low levels since the Omicron panic last year, looks like the miserable nature of last weeks RNS is starting to sink in. Very hard to see any positives in our present predicament without a bid.

is this the potential multi tier ?
Not with a management team that would struggle to run a Wimpy bar
35p offer again you think from bhp?
is this the potential multi tier 1 mine company?
Jerry, it was tongue-in-cheek. And I agree that they are more likely sellers than buyers.
NCM and BHP investment here not looking good considering what they bought in at imho
Morning Addicknt. I think they said they were looking domestically.
I still think they are sellers under 50p.

Not what Lisa said would happen this week!
back on topic
back under 25p
that NCM have publicly declared they are seeking more gold exploration targets.
To save them the bother, can I suggest they have a look at their portfolio - they'll discover they're already invested in one of the biggest and we're perfectly happy to flog it to them.
Is this the same board that moans anytime we go off topic?
Telegraphist, you get it on solg board lol!:)
'That will now happen in the UK and you know what...you don't get the arguing with/crowding the ref or the ridiculous rolling, writhing and screaming you get in the mens game...'
Yes, it was a real breath of fresh air. I no longer watch Premier League and instead go and watch my league 2 team. Watching evenly matched, honest sport beats the highly technical but cynical stuff we see in top European leagues, world cups etc. I've had this conversation with friends/family, as football seems to be the only sport I can think of where 'cheating' appears to be encouraged/condoned such as trying to get a penalty when no contact has been made etc. Can you imagine the furore if someone tried to trip up Usain Bolt at the start of the 100 metres and then go on to claim the gold medal?!. The shame is with the commercial growth of the women's game that is likely to occur will come all the simulation/cheating etc that you see in the higher echelons of the mens game because at that level it's more of a business than a sport.
Anyways, back to Solg watching! atb
Fair play to you, RK.
I don't dislike the women's game.
But it's nothing like the same and shouldn't even be portrayed as anywhere similar quality.
That's the part I don't like.
I think the fact that there's none of the rubbish that you see in the men's game (I have to be honest and say that's been brought in by non-British players) is exactly why it appeals to people.
It's like a "real" version of the game, with total honesty.
As you say, it will improve over the next few years and good luck to it.
anon...I attended or watched every one of United's wsl matches last season, as well as watching several other wsl and champions league matches on SKY
Barclays has just signed a £30m deal to sponsor the WSL, but just watch the sponsorship deals after last night.
After the US won the World Cup, women football became the fastest growing sport in the US.
That will now happen in the UK and you know what...you don't get the arguing with/crowding the ref or the ridiculous rolling, writhing and screaming you get in the mens game...
End of
Nobody's advocating women vs men...after last night women football will boom and skill levels are rising constantly.
Meanwhile ManU WSL had higher average attendances than 12 of the League 2 clubs last season and their highest attendance at 20,241 beat Watford in the Premier League and 48 Football League Clubs.
Anyhow I'll leave it at that.
Wembley must have upped it's capacity.
I can assure you, RK, the mens euro's could easily have pulled in 250,000 if there was capacity in that final.
I took my figures from some bloke, who actually attends women's domestic games, talking on Radio 2 earlier.
Not that I'm fussed either way, tbh.
The standard is about league 2 and that's pushing it, imo.
They certainly captured the imagination though and I'm not surprised, given the way it's being pushed as part of the Beeb's agenda.
Of course, the megamoney being fed into the game helps massively and that's the diffesrence, imo.
The game proper is far too dominated by foreign players. It's why the England team will never be any good as it is now.
If you're genuinely interested, you ought to look at womens footy when it was really popular (early 20th century). Regular crowds of 40+k.
But probably because men's footy wasn't available.
Massive off-topic, but there's nothing to talk about re SOLG, is there?
Oh and a bid?
Keep dreaming chaps.
Not in the next few years, imo, just as I've been saying for at least 3 years.
I’m all in favour of women being treated equally and playing football, good luck to them. Where the BBC and woman’s rights campaigners get carried away is by trying to sell as top class football. It isn’t. Maybe one day it will. Talking straight in response is part of equal rights. Men have a massive physical advantage to women, that’s nature. Just enjoy it if you like it.
