This was an RNS we got almost exactly a year ago, the next we hear is it’s one of the concessions being considered for a JV ….. it’s sun up everything wrong with the comms and why so many have seemingly lost faith , this should be a platform to discuss facts but without any it’s difficult….. hopefully the MD&A due any day will give us something tangible to discuss
Ø Drilling has commenced at the Santa Martha copper gold porphyry target at the Sharug Project as part of an initial six-hole drilling program testing extensive coincident surface geochemical and geophysical anomalies
Ø Mineralisation at Santa Martha is part of a 600m wide by 1,200m long northeast trending corridor containing mineralisation styles, size and geometry consistent with surface exposure of a vertically extensive, well-preserved copper-gold porphyry system
Ø The Santa Martha target is characterised by coincident soil Cu, Au, Mo soil geochemistry, porphyry style alteration, and a classic magnetic high surrounded by an annular magnetic low
Ø All scout drilling regulatory approvals have been received for 13 drilling platforms to accommodate multiple holes at the Santa Martha target
Commenting on today's release, Mr Jason Ward, Executive Director and Country Manager for SolGold in Ecuador said:
"Santa Martha displays all of the classic porphyry copper gold signatures that SolGold has recognised through Ecuador and define the blueprint we developed at the tier 1 Alpala project. The permitting and organisation of the Santa Martha programme further endorses SolGold's pan Ecuadorean activities and strategy and are a testament to our hard-working team and supportive government and communities.
It's a further step to becoming a large and integrated explorer, developer and producer in Ecuador, on the most under explored and prospective section of the Andean Copper Belt. SolGold is dominant in Ecuador's exploration effort and results to date endorse this strategy."
Q, I could have guessed you'd turn up with your usual nonsense.
Addicknt, as you know I have been investing for over 40 years now. No company gives the level of detail you think we deserve.
They give us the company direction ( which you ignore ).
They give us RNS's when required ( which you spin ).
Then give us webinars ( which you pretend mean something else).
You constantly are incorrect about all things with Solgold, yet you pretend it's me that doesn't know what I am talking about.
You rewrite history by pretending I have said things that I haven't ( you have said them not me ).
And when Mathersfinger says something that you disagree with, you take a high handed view because your an ex CEO.
For the record, CEO's and directors often don't make good investors. Good investors make good investors.
LM, good point.
Oh dear, you really are having a breakdown this morning. I know it's warm outside, perhaps a darkened room beckons?
And by the way, I'm struggling to think of a single company which WOULDN'T tell its shareholders about redundancies/temporary lay -offs. I'm guessing you're one of those shareholders who believed the story about a lack of French translators, or indeed the many other half-truths we've been spun over recent years. You appear to be the classic example of a mushroom investor...good luck with that.
You fail with your smugness, you tell me what business informs share holders every 5 minutes on everything they do, you can’t can you. Don’t show your ignorance because someone has pulled you up on being a moaning little twit, try for once looking on the bright side Mr serious investor with stories to tell
Atb
MF, good one! You even make the point for me! "...without knowing all the facts" Precisely - we don't and I think we should.
I know investors like you are perfectly happy to sit back and be left in total ignorance, however, a sensible shareholder tends to prefer being told what's going on with their investment.
Btw, where are "Andreas' mountains"?
Predictive text crap, the Andes it should read
What the hell do you think they are doing, field work on how many sites do you know? Each site is in the Andrea’s mountains is it not, so not a straight walk up a road, hotel on each site with running water, a larder full of food, no all has to be carried as well as equipment.
Your posts are always complaining, why not think first, weather, jungle and humidity is draining even for a fit person. If the people were not needed then it would make sense to let them go, if they haven’t then they must be busy, some much bloody whinging on here without knowing all the facts, just wait as there isn’t much else you can do, oh you could invent another story I suppose
Atb
It makes you wonder what our large workforce are doing with their time. They can't all be doing "fieldworks"...whatever they are.
Have they been laid-off, or are they inventing jobs for them? Re-arranging the stationary cupboard etc.
Surely this type of info should be shared with us?
Anyone speak Spanish?
We get a mention after one minute

Does anybody seriously get excited about drilling? Whats the point , we just spend money and the market ignores results.Get it sold or joint ventured , it's getting tediously boring now.
Agreed Orthern as they are applying for permissions and licenses, but looks like it will commence sooner than we felt.
Or until after we have raised funds
Hi Quady. In the same email Fawzi also stated
“ the exploration team are undertaking extensive field programmes with priority drill targets to be ranked and drill-ready by Q4.”
So I am not expecting any drilling to be…… imminent
Hello Ortherncopper, thank you.
Looks like we are about to start drilling again according to 28th July RNS.
Quady… apologies for the slow reply, I’ve been out all day…
This was from Fawzi himself in response to one of my emails sent in frustration asking how much/where we are drilling…
“exploration drilling at the regional projects was paused in January and has not been restarted”
hfm not hum...ho hum...
In case you missed it him...
The RNS truly shocked me so we bailed 500k at c26.4p because whether there was a cash raise or not, I didn't want to be day after day watching the SP drift steadily lower...
But at the back of my mind is that one day there will be a bid and SOLG looks pretty weak and vulnerable...
I've learned that if you want to build a position you do it while people are selling and the price is falling...
So yes...a cash raise could take the SP to 20p or below but if they get it right that could put a bottom into the market at c20p...
People will try to be clever and get stock sub 20p but as the SP turns I think they''ll chase it...even more so if the T/O jungle drums start again...
So...I'm very happy to have built back at an average comfortably below 23p, making a substantial turn in the process...
And once again we sit at 800k with funds to call on if thees a raise...
Hope this helps...
Wtfk they can't even sort cascabel out nevermind start drilling others this lot!!
big parties do have a habit of collaborating when money is to be made ..
You're so profound DBW...
Lasso Etal won't be thrilled drilling of the other regionals has stopped to preserve cash, and $ £ isn't going to be favourable forever. This will play out soon enough.
RK, was one of the reasons you bought back because you know any day we could be the next Oz Minerals, and could happen at any time?
Sometimes in investing, the hardest thing to do is nothing.. Enjoy the sunshine all. C
Well that’s assuming only one major is interested in owning the biggest gold/copper discovery of the last decade ….. look at it another way …. If you owned a Picasso and were short of a few quid do you think people would wait until you were skint so they could pick it up for a fiver assuming no one else would be interested ?
