know that cost savings have been implemented, but it would be interesting to find out what our current cash burn is.
Where exactly have savings been made? By how much have head office and admin costs been reduced? How much is currently being spent at Cascabel - what's the split between the work on "enhancing the value" and day-to-day running costs?
In other words, how long will our current cash pile last?
I did say February. ..just as Chinese New year ends ,read what the year of the rabbit brings too the Chinese then you'll understand gla
OC because we needed urgent money in. We had to have that money in or sell the company at that time. But during that time we had just got rid of Ayten and DC was still talking Plan A and Plan B bs.
Because the world is not as blinkered and desperate for your last 2 years gambling to produce a profit.
The price is dropping because there are more sellers than buyers that’s how the market works.
You’ve continually got it wrong and that form shows no sign of abating.
How pathetic it is you have to post every trade you make…..does it make you feel better or do you think your delusional rantings have an effect on other posters.
You could also ask, Why do a royalty deal, reducing future profitability, if you are about to try to sell the company?
Red,
More strings to the bow makes a nice sound, stop worrying and just wait and see

"SOLG should be ready soon to release outcomes on Strategic Review and plans for exploration this year with targets named."
Why would they do that if they're about to sell the company...?
It's just the ARB fund or funds doing their thing. Boring boring stuff.
I expect they'll all be rebalanced when new shares are issued in a week or so time if end of Jan still the target.
Thereafter, they will likely want to be NET longs as SOLG should be ready soon to release outcomes on Strategic Review and plans for exploration this year with targets named. Do not be surprised if you see SOLG suddenly adopting Bramados like it's of importance lol! I think CGP had some free carry on that but it was looking quite decent as per last update. Wonder whether SOLG will focus 2023 efforts in and round the Chinese assets based in the South lol!
Maybe the Canadians are selling in the background pre market, but otherwise can't understand why anyone would get otu now...we've come so far...
Wouldn't surprise me if Jiangxi or even BHP are standing out the back with a very large bucket to collect these sales...
And in case you're expecting a TR1, remember Valuestone have about 2.5% headroom before they reach the notifiable level...
Hopefully just bought last couple of chunks for the Missus at 15.79...hope thats the bottom...
Red …. I agree with that pretty much.
Will there be a we are looking to sell Cascabel message prior to first bid.
What’s clear is that this merger completion is key…. Could they still look to place the CGP shares prior to completing or will they simply be held in treasury?
Thats because we redefined the PFS to get early cash by mining from a higher level and some at surface...
The big and potentially fully unknown bonanza comes with the block caving which was the original plan.
We would never be able to finance that, but its petty cash to a major like BHP...or the Chinese (who have the engineers to do it...)
The only news you're likely to get now DM is...
Merger completed
Jiangxi bids 50p...(or similar)...
I agree the metal prices may have impacted, and agree with the read across to Cascabel PFS addendum… but there is the rub… if the finances of our studies only stand up with high metal prices, then the finances of the mines are not overly compelling… our PFS didn’t exactly blow everyone away with its potential returns…
Back to waiting for news..
I saw that as a hint at a delay…. Solg never do anything on time, so probably best to expect Feb…. But what’s a week or 2 in the grand scheme of things ?
Another slight delay pushes it into Feb?
"the Company expects to publish the prospectus shortly and complete the Acquisition soon thereafter with the issue of SolGold shares to Cornerstone Shareholders."
… Never boils.
Wise words from someone. I’ve picked a price (80p for a giggle) and put a trade plan in. Comes of listening to Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ off ‘Dark side of the Moon’ last night.
16 Jan "took some long on a spread today to add to the ones in my ISA as allowance all used there. Very confident it will drift up between now and end of Jan and won't be around for 23/24 ISA allowance anyway!"
"I still think a takeout for the whole shooting match, and well over a quid."
From HH on Jan 19th..."Merger closing in less than 10 days."
And "The strategic review will NOT requireClass 1 vote as Solg is not premium segment listing. And we will get a very value enhancing deal. ENSA - Cascabel will unlock close to P/NAV ~ 72p"
From vi.app "Institutional investors now hold 33% of SolGold Plc’s stock"
From swingtrader "SOLG closed down 0.49 percent on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, on 1.19 times normal volume. Note that the stock is in oversold territory based on its Slow Stochastic indicator (14, 3, 3) -- sideways movement or a bounce should not be unexpected. "
DM, thanks for the clarification.
Thing is DM, I think it’s safe to assume the Porv study has disappointed…
Our board went very very quiet on the Porvenir front a long time ago.. All positive comments that had once flowed there, ceased waaay back... The PEA was due to be released right at the point it was shelved, even Investor relations were continuing to express the plan was to release it when I asked If it was on schedule, so one would have to assume it was all but completed and the work paid for…. If there was anything positive to give to the markets, it would have not been canned.
Despite people on here fantasising that our board may be strategically holding back good news, Solg have NEVER held back positive news, and why would they when the share price is on its knees.
We are, where we are now… there is no point in dressing it up or trying to see it through rose tinted glasses.. we are just drifting, hoping, or praying, Maxit can fix it all by monetising our only proven asset.. it’s a sad place to have found ourselves after all the years of hype and bluster. We’ve given Bob the paddle to our canoe after we got stranded, trying to bluff the mining world we could become the next supermajor on our own.. I hope he can get us a result.
You clouldn't be more right DM...
Once uopon a time we had 'shock and ore"...
Now we have a deafening silence...
Even if (as I believe) the plan is to sell the company, you wouldm have tyhought that a PR blitz would at least get the SP higher for a starting pointg...
Stukey - are you referring to the special resolutions which failed to pass at the last AGM? You are right if that's the case.
I thought NCM/BHP/blackrock blocked issuing large quantites of shares which needed above 75% to be approved.
I will get back in my box
Ship, yes I know talk about manipulation!!
