Afternoon quady am I right in thinking that your thoughts are that there will be no sale and eventually we will go into production and how long will that take . I think greatland gold going into production next year and it's share price is miserable and I think PREM literally on the cusp of production seems to be picking up
Afternoon Steve at the moment I still see production as the most likely outcome.
However, I now see a JV in order to bring this about.
A hostile bid is out of the question as the book is too diverse and so too many parties would have to sell.
We could get an agreed buyout but not this year as so many parties involved.
I am interested in the updated PFS for Alpala especially if we get a reduced construction cost.
But just as interested in PEA for Porvenir as this will add to the NPV.
On the Subject of how long I believe 2 years for open pit once we start construction, so we get revenue early on, and about 6 years to full block cave operation.
These figures are based on previous announcements by Solgold and are guesstimates.
Afternoon….Q
To be fair you used to say we’d take this to production
Not you are saying production most likely outcome via a JV
Will you one day say production most likely but via a takeover and you were right all along?
In the meantime AGM approaching fast and exciting times ahead whichever way this goes …
DBW you are better than that, as I have said everything on this forum is opinion, I don't have to say in my opinion.
I have always said production was the most likely outcome.
In light of recent announcements from the interested parties then I have modified my opinion to production with JV.
Q …. I’m not looking for a fight I’m just confirming you believe Solgold will have some part to play in taking this to production.
Cards on the table I don’t …. I believe Cascabel (probably the entire company) will be taken out in it’s entirety…….
You say production as the most likely outcome, everyone knows that ……I’m just saying we’ll have no part in it …… I could of corse be wrong
DBW - you like to ridicule Quady but at least he has stayed consistent. At least he hasn't offered,
"Would rather (if BHP are to bid) it wasn’t the first bid here …. A bid will come but from who ?" and particularly,
"In the meantime AGM approaching fast and exciting times ahead whichever way this goes …"
The BHP capture of Oz Minerals should be a warning to all SOLG shareholders that no competition is assured and that's if we receive a bid at all.
There's every possibility that it's business as usual after Christmas, if Sangha and Co's bleating amounts to nothing.
Bozi … I’m not trying to bait
I’m trying to establish a position where opinions can differ but we all know where we stand?
What’s your position
Q has stated production probably via JV
I have stated takeout
Do you have an opinion to offer?
Thanks
DBW
You do realise opinions can change based on news and circumstance?
Quady’s opinion is perfectly reasonable based on recent events.
You on the other hand believe everything that is tweeted because it suits your position.
This company ail not getting taken out no matter how much you hope and pray that happens, Quady’s view is much more likely.the mine is not as great as you think hence the reason nothing has happened.
Tesla1
As always good to hear from you …. That’s what makes for democracy , differences of opinion, my view is clear and there’s nothing wrong with sharing tweets and comments from some of the main players here .
Be interested to see your view on how this plays out?
You state no takeover as fact …. If that’s the case please tell me what’s really happening…?
You might not like me posting tweets and articles but please tell me what you add to this board other than bile and vitriol ?
there will be always competition in the low bid region. Henry will have issues explaining why Solg was taken, by others, at 30-40p. so it alldepends on what alternatives those guys have.
Fair point DBW.
I was being oversensitive.
All the best.
So OK...people say this isn't being manipulated, but...
Theres hundreds of Algo trades every day...frequently at the same price...
PIs aren't selling bjut a few are possibly wondering if they should invest a bit more...
But meanwhile I'm firmly bid for 300k again, while the dribble of 2/3,000 trades at 18.50 trickles on...
I expect we all want someone to just get on with it...the waiting has become torturre...
Maxit's bluster almost promises something is going on behind the scenes, otherwise he will pretty soon look like a fool rather than an M&A specialist...
Oh yawwwwwwwwnnnnnnnn....!
Agreed but would they take that risk ….. could be a very costly bluff
Please somebody teach Redknight what an automatic trade is.
Tesla, are you suggesting that Nick Mather and the cgp boys are trying to pull the wool over Bhp eyes.
What about the likes of Franco and their due diligence?
What about all the assays completed by independent professionals?
Didn't someone earlier say solg would close comfortably mid to high 19's?
Ray …. It’s a gift
Took a few earlier today, see how it goes.
Lol no I like Novice but every time he says it’s going up …….. hence it’s a gift he has
Tesla1 is not invested here but this is the only share he posts about. At first it was just price deramping but now he's backing up Quady just to be unpleasant.
What a sad little man.
Funny he decided to become a regular pain in the butt here when Slug was finally banished.
seanhunter,
Who's Tesla1??
Just use the filter button. Very empowering. Most people do.
Q
I have never acted/worked as a broker or MM. However I support RK's view on Algo trades, as invariably they come in blocks (all generally smallish trades). Most contributors to this forum, seem to me to suggest they have much larger holdings. So seems not quite right. I am sure no of trades comes contribute in arriving at a 'price' to move up or down. I am not (now anyhow) taking any issue with your firmly held mantra that every buy is to be matched by a sell. However I also believe a market maker has to have 'stock' to sell. If the computer controlling these Algos did it all in one transaction (or 2/3) they probably be withheld (as being outside "normal" market size.
My view - I don't want to discuss all night
big drop at tsx.
Q, I really don't want to open up the diverse book argument again, but I promise you, if someone really wants this and an agreed deal isn't possible, they'll go for it regardless of the make-up of the shareholder register. How do you think any takeover is ever successful?
As it happens, and as I've maintained for a very long time, I agree that an agreed deal following an extensive marketing exercise is the most likely way for this to proceed.
