Chinese entities have shown growing interest in SolGold. China recognizes the opportunity to secure long-tferm copper assets in Ecuador. Jiangxi Copper's strategic investment in SolGold signifies a potential alignment with Chinese interests, raising the prospect of a sale to a Chinese entity.
Although the declining share price reflects market uncertainty, it also presents opportunities for astute investors, with the potential sale of SolGold or its prized assets on the horizon
Nice link, Pad. Wonder why it refers to Solgold as a mining company though? Have we started selling our drill cores? Almost like the article isn't well researched...
Wow I didn’t notice that AgArCu…..errrr …. needalife/kalbari - thank you.
And you won’t believe it but that local rag Reuters even have the nerve to refer to Solg as a copper miner. Whatever next?

Padmaster, what is it with your morbid obsession, with bringing me into your late night posts.
they're must be a limit in even your hysterical thinking, as to how many posters I am.
and I told you mate, Kalbarri has double R, so not me NOW PUT THE BOTTLE AWAY, AND GO TO BED
The goldstocks.com web site is owned by a marketing, advertising and pr company in British Colombia, which makes me wonder who placed the article? Was it us? If so, the specific reference to the Chinese is, erm, interesting. Or was it Maxit?
It does read like a bit of pr fluff, which in turn raises a few questions. In London the past masters at this sort of thing are Rothschild. When they're marketing a business they are infamous for leaking it to the press in order to prise any interested parties out of the woodwork. It's surprisingly successful.
Btw, I'm not complaining.
Thanks Pad
Excellent news thanks Pad
Thanks Pad. You have a special search engine, I don't k ow how you find this stuff. Let's hope it has the effect of snuffing out the buyers!
Code 1 popped up from last night my theory news coming gla
Bubble, when was the last time there wasn't a code 1?
Solgold is a sitting duck yes...?
So why no bids yet?
Second best new global prospect, now 100% owned...surely of interest to any copper/gold major...?
Now owning 90 prospects in Ecuador, including Cascabel and Porvenir...surely this would give the successful bidder the leading strategic foothold in possibly the most stable mining jurisdiction in South America...?
And we are told there is a copper crunch coming this year, with 400m tonnes in store but a 500m tonne deficit looming...
So why this gigantic game of chicken being played and why is the price so low...?
Jiangxi didn't fork out peanuts to hold a 6% stake indefinitely (following their earlier purchase through Valuestone)...Solgold must be of huge strategic interest to the Chinese government and Jiangxi is their mining vehicle...
It may be that they are demanding the CGP held stake at a knockdown price before proceeding, which means SOLG is right to hold on and maybe sell that stake to the highest bidder...
So no bids yet...and maybe this is because there is so much latent interest that nobody wants to be first, because they know they wont be last, unless they pay a knockout price.
And if Blackrockk has sold out, who to...? Cos it ain't the likes of us who are fully invested...?
So finally with the inevitable eventual takeout, do we have such a low SP....?
Ah...the low SP...
The irony is that this is probably down to NM and his pals...
He was sacked by BHP and NCM as CEO, but survived as NED (hardly 'independent') thanks to we who have pinned our Hope's on him whether we like him or not...with so much skin in the game, his claims that he wants Asset price rather than Market price, appeal to our greedier instincts...otherwise why hold on...?
Because when you look at good NEDs like Keith, Kevin and Elodie resigning, you wonder what has gone on?
Clearly NM hated BHP and NCM, but what has it cost us in his pursuit to give them a bloody nose? He clearly still thinks he can flush them out of the woodwork and it is reasonable to ask why neither had sold out despite their steady dilution...
Ah, the dilution...and the reason why we are stuck at half the price of less than a year ago...
Surely it all goes back to the hatred of BHP?
It seens clear that NM and his allies wanted to do a cash box last June but Ingo and Ayten resisted.
Because potential investors were sounded out about a cash box and declined, there had to be a 'cleansing statement' and this funding debacle brought the SP down...AS followed, with Darryl not far behind...
But Teflon Nick survived, with an unholy alliance with CGP already in the works...we may now have 100% of Cascabel, but at what cost...
There is no doubt that the desperate attempts to flush out a bid from BHP have brought us to where we are, so...
The co. has been stripped to the bare bones and we have enough cash to ride until June 2024, in the meantime pinning our Hope's on either Jiangxi or BHP blinking first, or the eventual inevitable rocketing copper (and gold) price...
And the wait is draining...wheres your baseball bat now Bob...?
Lots of questions RK and some interesting ones I knew the answers to.
When you lay out the fundamentals like that it's clear to see why we should be in demand.
Maybe we are but we're just being kept in the dark.
At the end of the day everyone wants a Cascabel. We have one with the potential of finding more. There will come a time that has to count for something.
Agreed.
*I wish I knew the answers to.
Your summary of the last 12 months feels close to being on the button too.
Where art thou Bob Sangha. Get swinging that lump of wood.
Sure ,I'll come back and check that at 7am tomorrow
Interesting post redknight. But as usual all in your head. Not one bit of evidence to back it up.
The night stalker posts one piece of dubious news, and low and behold, we're all of speculating again. Has it occurred to anyone, that solg put it out there, to try to get some interest.
One of the only constants on here rk. It's that none of your posts ever amount to f**k all
Nal, you obviously didn't read my post.
Steady on Bozi you’re almost sounding positive! :) :) Maybe you’re now fully loaded hence a change in tone? Either way keep it up!
FTJNY - please stop with comments like that. It really is worth appreciating how others can have both positive and negative opinions and the nuance involved when taking an honest view about the company.
There is without doubt a lot of this where SOLG is concerned. Anyone who says that everything is positive or negative is a liar.
I'm also not trying to influence anyone to buy stock. I make no recommendation on LSE. I just give my view. Some of us aren't as simple and disingenuous to just talk their book 24/7.
You will note that I've made positive comments about a number of companies this morning. I am making an effort to look at my holdings with some hope right now in a market thst seems to be teetering on the brink.
I have not traded any stock for weeks and have no intentions to, but you will continue to hear both sides of the argument from me.
Addict. sorry if I got it wrong. I was referring to red knights latest mind numbing posts. please accept my apologies, technology passed me by. but while im here.do you like me think it ironical, that im accused of being kalbari [should be double r ], by the night stalker.and yet a lot of what he posted is coming true, as I recall he disliked Mather, and the way the company was run. he also used to ridicule some of the ridiculous posts on here.so in retrospect, he was far more insightful than the night stalker. with his £4 by xmas.
Bozi 980 of fdyns 984 posts have been bile and abuse, the other 4 are on a par to bbg. let them dream of what might of been. and you keep posting your insightful posts.
Even by his own standards, the amount of attempted inuendo in Red's post (count the ellipses) is impressive.
Nothing fast and smart from Bob because he requires a buyer.
No bid because no one needs to. Majors and state-backed vehicles with deep pockets don't take pity on small caps. They almost always get them on the terms they want. Or they hoover up the pieces when they fail. Please don't lower yourself to a repetitive ramp about Noront, the one example of competitive tension anyone here seems capable of citing (in a diametrically opposed jurisdiction from ours, with proven mineral extraction).
Call it for what it is. An ambitious explorer that has been 'managed' in too many directions recently, and now has neither a credible bluff of financing and development, nor a clear road map to monetisation. Just Bob making claims about inflicting pain on companies for whom a 6x MCap takeout of solg would barely appear in their returns.
To those who say anyone with realistic concerns about the company should sell up and shouldn't post here, I say this: if you believe there's no truth in anything I say here then the risks must be vanishingly small. Please don't reply until you've sold the family home, moved into rented and invested the proceeds in solg, certain of a great return. If you haven't done this, it's because the offline, real-world version of you shares some of all of my doubts. And yet you're not selling.
AgArCu, don't you have other BBs to disrupt to fill your clients' orders? Or is that saved for your other moniker, 1981Investor?
We have enough cash to ride until June 2024... as long as we do absolutely nothing... and just hope Bob can get something done.. What a business plan!!
I'm sure no one here, just a couple of years ago, would have thought Cornerstone Group would be in control, and all our hopes for any pay day are with their friends...
