Rolls-Royce has received an order from its distributor Smith Power Products to provide two 1,500kW mtu Kinetic PowerPacks (KPPs) for NOVVA Data Centers, the pioneers of sustainable, secure colocation in the Western United States. The two KPPs will provide emergency backup power for an expansion at the company’s Colorado Springs data center. The Power Systems division of Rolls-Royce has already delivered over 50MW of mtu emergency diesel gensets for NOVVA’s various locations through Smith Power Products.
@retirment - nothing wrong with taking REAL money off the table.
As you say nothing is guaranteed in life (except taxes and death - obviously :) ) - so if something catastrophic happens and we drop 50% well that's part of life. I mean I did just buy DELL at its peak and say it drop 20% :) - so i make ALL right decisions, obviously :)
''Just nice to see Badlands & Gb have kissed and made up……. 👏''
Yup, I just dealt with the lippy and got on with it ;-)
Hopefully, everyone will act normal to me from now on and we All win with RR.
I was in RR 100% (which is madness - or so I am told....) - So I diversified (a little) and sold some RR and bought some other stocks.... This didn't sit well with me - as the other stocks - whilst climbing - weren't climbing as quickly as RR.... It also meant I had to watch a number of share prices rather than just one... So I've sold my diversified stocks and re-invested everything into RR - I suppose I'm posting this as a warning to others.... knowing my luck expect an uncharachteristic downward trend :-)
Yes, I watch stocks every day (despite being a long term holder with a long term goal)
Yes, I am fickle
Yes, it would have been better to just leave it all in RR
In reality I had only diveested 5% of my total holding..... So if a black swan event had come along and RR had taken a massive hit I'd still have been totally and utterly screwed. Thankfully I've made plenty over the past 2 years or so - so if covid part 2 came along or an RR engine blew up mid flight (God forbid) and the SP crashed I'd probably still be OK at the end of it. I'm now watching the shares I've got rid of and expecting them to take off :-)
Onwards and upwards to the fabled land of £7 / share (and the rest hopefully :-))
Just nice to see Badlands & Gb have kissed and made up……. 👏
I have been scaling out for ages, sold 50% when I made 100% on these. Mistake, yep but so what, I made 100% REAL MONEY. still have 300k in them. all it takes is a plane crash, or the CEO leaves. I am happy for 15% PA now days.
which is still £5.30 within 12 months which seems high to me. £7 I would be buying a holiday home in the lakes., I would be all out or at least 66% out.
£7 seems very achievable now all things being equal :)
I'm going to sell 50% around the mythical £7 :)
The rest will stay barring any unforeseen circumstances :)
Yeah, I have lost a few quid on some stocks, but I was very wet behind the ears and will never make those mistakes again.
RR is the same for me, I am in big, but find it hard to think about for when I sell.
So I might sell most, but keep some for the run up to £9.
UK stocks are a funny thing. RR was always a good bet after being so low. The banks have done me for years! Lloyds absolute nightmare.
I have a target for when to pullout. That will be me done then. Took the gamble and made my money. have no plans of investing that much ever agin.
I am also heavily invested in BAE, but i get free shares so why not lol.
Wow gbholds, a fellow RR guy through and through eh. Hat off to you Sir.
I hope this aint classed as insider information though lol.
I dabbled in stocks when I was in my early teens and always had a thang for it, but never acted on it till 3 years ago, I have ran my own business for a zillion years now and have done quite good, but always always wished I joined the stock market years ago.
We can learn a thing of 2 from our friends in the USA!
JUST DO IT!

We are all here to make money pal. I have been doing this trading thing now for just over 10 years now.
Waste deep in RR now. I have worked directly for RR, consulted for RR and now work alongside them. I also worked on the early SMR project.. I know where this stock is going.. up up and away. !!
We get a spike then its falls a bit. For 3 years now we have seen this trend.. It will continue to rise. Like the Cat, I truly believe it will surpass £7.
With a 17 year old daughter and a 14 year old son my opinion differs……. Needs a major recovery but only has a limited audience. Buy out is the only viable option imo.
Excellent news GBHolds...let's hope we're on a roll and we get a 48 typhoons order from the Saudis. I hope the Germans haven't put them off and pray the bloody French don't pick our order up with the Rafael. The Germans have been an absolute liability pretending to be the good guys by stopping sales..the Saudis, the Turks etc are going to buy their weapons from someone it might as well be us
Don't forget the hairballs as well, as I bet it's a hassle to live with as well.
"Not convinced by DOCS, what makes you think different?"
A 12 year old daughter. Keep an eye on it.
Partially, they sold ITP which makes the Spanish contribution of the EJ200 engine so RR Bristol make 25% or so, MTU 25% Germany and Avio 25% Italy...rough figures but you get the picture
Well, thank you very much for noticing that my Cat Fwwiend. Purrrrrr
1. I will kick off to say, I got in from Feb 2021.
I invested in x3 to carry out my goal because.... Hell I don't know why, I just did, and I now know x3 is so different from normal shares.
I am 3 years new to this, Sorry, but I have got no space in my head (personal reasons) to learn any of this investing malarky, I do really try every day, but as said, no more space left at all.
2. Yup, I know that divs won't make a diff to me, but do understand that divs and bb will make sp go up, which helps me.
3. I was to scared to even think about selling when you last asked about buying normal shares as I'm not clued up, so I started to day trade and ended up holding rr and that has worked out very well. margin stuff is scary though, thank gawd I don't understand it all lol.
I held x3 but then it changed/split and in march or april this year (my memories very bad lol) I sold a portion of them and completed my goal ... Defo No Ragrets.
So I now hold till £7 plus my day trade to keep me in the game thinking.
I really don't like the criticism I get on here, but I'm really really NOT stressing or trying to wind people up, I work from home now and yes it's always on my screen, but I like it as it gives me something to think about, I just don't understand why big drops for no reason, don't forget my drops are bad (ask Bernybelingo) and YES I do want it to go up every day without it going down at all lol and that logic has done me proud up to now.
I bet if I met everyone of my trolls on here, I bet we could have a good meet up as I have zero hate, as I want us all to win.
Plus Catdude, I honestly think I will earn more keeping x3 instead of selling and buying normal shares, even if divs and bb come along as ... well it's x3 aint it, please explain if I'm wrong.
I am sure i read somewhere that rolls had sold off the manufacture of these engines.
The Germans want 20 and the Saudis wnat a load too.. the Germans originally tried blocking the deal but its seems its all sorted now

Yes, BAE have just got a massive order for them....
Yes…EJ200
