I've just received the SA's reply and, whilst I thank Barry for his efforts, it really doesn't help those non attendees one bit. Looks like it's up to ourselves, as individuals, to get answers from Manduca.
I couldn't attend the meeting so was hoping to hear from either someone who did or the Shareholders Association, unfortunately the silence is deafening, very disappointing. Therefore, yesterday I also contacted the company and was informed that either Hugo or Simon would call me back. I would strongly recommend, for those non attendees, you do the same. Despite the Shareholders Association best intentions, it appears that they've been gagged also.
I suggest those investors that are worried about their investment, contact the company direct and seek the answers from the people they entrusted their money with. I was unable to attend the meeting and so wrote to the company today. I received a prompt response asking for a screen shot of my investment, after which they stated someone would gladly call me this week. I picked the email up out of office hours, replied, and now await a confirmation. It's your investment, get out there and start looking after it, instead of relying on some other faceless BB contributor to do it for you. And as for the cloak and daggers accusations, the company has gone out on a limb to try to keep investors informed. They could have easily enough stayed silent until they did or did not succeed. They have made mistakes, the plan has had to be changed, whatever. This is about now, it's about moving forward and about judging each part on its own merit in order to protect your investment, and if that means letting go of the past, then so be it. This is about the end result, and right now the guys at the top are our only option, so get behind them, or what little chance there is will also be snuffed out.
Guitarsolo. Just stating facts, if this was still listed A) The company has a duty to inform ALL shareholders of information not just a privileged few B) LSE rules prohibit the soliciting of e-mails or holdings Nothing against Clever Sheep (I am a fan of Monty Python) but would you trust a stranger with your holding info? PM must be a hypnotic speaker as he has turned attendees into Trappist monks I see this as a forum for discussion but for some reason the company wants to stifle any discussion Yours expecting to be vilified Fifer
Humzer we are awaiting an update by email from The Paragon Diamonds Shareholders Association. It all seems very secretive but but I am sure clever sheep will tell us all he can/knows.If you are not a member, I suggest you send your name/shareholding to paragon@73east.com to join.We all have a lot at stake here and it is a worry.Hopefully things will be a bit clearer soon.PM seems intent on keeping whatever is going on as secret as possible, why? maybe after previous empty promises he wants to be sure before goes public.GLA
So there is still life out there?
Is there any news worth sharing from the meeting from anybody who could attend? Would be much appreciated.
Langspoondedfifer, I am not quite sure where you are coming from about this. There's no clandestine meetings. There's no "touting for names and holdings". If you are a shareholder you could have attended the meeting. If you are a shareholder (PI) you could elect to join the Shareholder Group. FYI, the Shareholder Group has been established primarily to allow PIs to remain in contact with each other should this forum disappear (well done to LSE for still keeping it alive). It also allowed PIs to gather their thoughts and questions for PRG (of which there are many). Finally, it allows the PRG board a simple way of communicating with a large number of PIs through one outlet. Give the guys/girls who have put in the effort to make this happen some credit for their work. They deserve it. I understand that many of the Shareholder Group did attend the meeting. Well done to them. I could not, primarily because I live a long way away and have a young family that I could not abandon on a Sunday (they were all ill as it happens so I really could not). However, as part of the Shareholder Group, I feel that I have someone there who is in a similar position to me and so am not completely in the dark. I for one am very grateful for the effort of Clever Sheep and others who are prominent members of the Shareholder Group. Guitarsolo
Confounded. I'm sure a lot of us just could not attend . I was trying to earn a living. Well done you for making the effort.
Looks like a bunch of posts have been deleted? Have attendees at the meeting on Sunday been sworn to secrecy?
As far as I was aware the meeting was open to all share holders, it as a very mixed and varied group of share holders that went yesterday, the common theme for them all was they made the effort to attend. I drove a long way, someone even flew from abroad. Also it was made very clear that PM would be very happy to meet again as groups or even individually in London. Make contact with the company if you would like to hear more.
Clever sheep has said he'll email us when he can. Have you heard anything?
that this share is suspended as there is so many wrongs Clandestine meetings with shareholders with those who were lucky enough to attend being gagged. A case of have and have nots. No update on company's website Posters touting for names and holdings which if we were not suspended against the rules of the board Strangely as an independent genuine LTH I get Mr Manduca's siege mentality but surely now is the time for unity and straight talking not for division and cliques, We are all equal but clearly some are more equal than others
Reminder to any holders wanting to join the Shareholders Association, as I don't look on here very often in the present circumstances. Pleas email me at paragon@73east.com with your username, real name, and number of shares held. All information will bee held confidentially. Cheers CS
Hi We have met a couple of times at the AMC events in Mayfair. Are you going to the meeting on Sunday? If so, would you like a lift as I will be going close by you on he way. Regards
Hi Clever Sheep, Thank you for putting this together. I have just emailed you with my details.
Just emailed you there fella. Thanks for setting this up.

Richie Reported $30m in the bank? If there was would not be in this predicament My expectation is that not good but better than the ultimate zero
Ritchie you are right investment grade diamonds along with gold are usually in demand in times of financial crisis.Yes if we really had secured funds of $30m then we may be in a strong position.Unfortunately if we had I doubt we would be having the meeting. They could have just notified us funding was in place and when mining would start etc.I hope I am wrong but I suspect the meeting may not be exactly what we we are hoping for.We certainly could all do with some good news even if it is not perfect.GLA
alexia I do not agree that it's the worst possible timing for PRG have you noticed that the Gold price has been rising as the stoke markets have fallen, it usually goes without saying when investors get the jitters they switch to invest in precious metals and other high value items like Gem stones. If PRG has $30m in the bank as reported not long ago they could be in a good position but at the moment know one knows for sure until the 28th when the shareholder meeting is to be held, then hopefully we will get the information we require.
For any one who had their shares with HSBC, my first certificate pitched up today. Took about 4/5 weeks from my initial request.
The point is that the news will spread like wildfire after the event so keeping it a secret in the short term does not matter.
Yes it is strange. You can only assume after all the previous publicity/hype that never amounted to anything PM is reluctant to be under too much scrutiny from the press etc. The worrying thing is, if it was really great news you would think he would want publicity, but who knows. We will just have to wait and see .GLA p,s Thanks CS for the latest circular, it was very informative/interesting.
