Can anyone explain the hush hush Secret Squirrel meeting. I now hear that the exact location in Walsall is to be kept under wraps on pain of death. A quick google shows that Our Phil gave a Grassroot presentation back in happier times June 2015 at a certain hotel in the Walsall area. Surely the time is to be honest, open and not time for semi clandestine meeting
Did you get my email CS?
And4444 Not received your email... paragon@73east.com
Count me in too Clever Sheep. Emailing details now. Thanks.
Hi Greenrookie As of last night, the Association has 52 members representing over 20m shares. As I said in the Third Circular last night, i think it's a good idea to ask the various nominee holding companies if they will put out a message to PRG holders. I'll happily do it with HL (my broker). Personally, I don't want to go anywhere near TW/SP, but I will ask ProActive Investors if they will make an announcement.. Cheers CS
Just looked in on this board and was surprised to find folks still posting. To be honest I had totally written this investment off. I will e-mail Clever Sheep with my details.
I am pretty sure my holding is part of the Barclay nominee. CS I can't read your message but sent a message via ADVFN
Actually, ignore that comment. There are about 155m disclosed. So, around 120m 'out there'. PIs may fall into the Investor Nominees and Barclayshare camps, or may not. I wonder if we could get to the collective Investor Nominees and Barclayshare Nominees via those organisations? Perhaps it is even worth asking TW/SP to release a news article informing of the Shareholder Association...
I would say we have about half of the PIs signed up so far... As at 15 July 2015, in so far as the Directors are aware, the following shareholders held a disclosable interest in the share capital of Paragon Diamonds Ltd: Titanium Capital Investments Ltd 60,000,000 21.6%* Martin Matekane: 35,471,510 12.8% Spreadex Ltd: 29,711,966 10.7% Investor Nominees Ltd: 15,730,584 5.7% Barclayshare Nominees Ltd: 16,828,048 6.0%
One of our members pointed out to me that the circulars can easily be seen as spam, as they contain a bcc list of email addresses. So just a reminder to put paragon@73east.com on your white list to make sure. Now 38 members, representing nearly 17m shares (over 6% of the issued shares). Anyone still wanting to join, please email me on the address above. Cheers
Hi, received your mail. Many thanks and good work. Won't be attending meeting as live north of Inverness so counting on others to keep us informed
Hi Clever sheep and others, thank you for your responses, thought it was worth throwing in my contribution and reasuring to hear the responses given. I am certain PM cares about the position we have found ourself in and I am sure like any of us will be finding it a tough time ATM. He has however taken the time to reply to my emails over the last weeks and months which has been reassuring, I built a small email history with him during the good times. I am looking forward to meeting people at the end of the month and let's hope we finally get some good news to talk about.
Thanks for the e-mail, I'm in, e-mail sent. I've also just e-mailed PRG with proof of my holdings.....still not sure if I'll be attending but hope to. Cheers.
I have also signed up - thanks CS
Thanks all for the positive comments. Reminder for anyone reading, if you want to join the shareholders association email me at paragon@73east.com (please include lse username and number of shares held). Confounded, I hope you will join us. CS
Totally agree.
Firstly, I think those of us that have signed up to the shareholder group owe a thanks to Clever Sheep for making the effort to organise it. (CS, I didn't receive your circular but may have signed up after you sent it) Confounded, I think the reason to club together is not so much that we can swing with more weight at the BOD. There's not much to be gained by that at the moment. But if as a collective group we own say 15-20% of the company, then we should be treated en masse as a significant shareholder and kept up to date of developments. But more importantly, it is very possible that LSE will take down this board at any moment (iii did with a fortnight of delisting). If that happened without the shareholder group we would have lost the chance to organise ourselves. Well done Clever Sheep. And well done LSE for keeping this board going. Regards Guitarsolo
think it is a great idea, and appreciate the first circular. thanks Clever Sheep
Although I can see confounded's concerns, cleversheep and alexia have addressed them perfectly.Until we hear what PM has to say we do not even know what situation we are dealing with.PM may have made mistakes/been overly confident etc.but by having this meeting hopefully he is trying to address that.We all want the same thing[PM included] , for the company to survive/ succeed and for our investments to be preserved. The irony is in these terrible market conditions investment grade diamonds maybe one of the only things of any value,If PM can/has convinced someone to invest in getting them it could still come good. But a big if.The Shareholder Asc.can only be a good thing and I am happy to be part of it.GLA
I have now seen an official email from the company stating that the shareholders meeting on 28th February will be in Walsall, as was rumoured.
Re First Circular As some of you know, I sent out the "First Circular" last night to members. However, due to annoying internet problems at home I know some of you (mostly with Hotmail addresses) didn't get it. I will be trying to get this problem sorted today and will try again. Advance apologies to any of you who might accidentally end up getting it twice! Reminder for anyone who wants to join, just email me at paragon@73east.com That includes you, confounded, we would be happy to have you.
Hi Guys, I am not sure what the group action can or will achieve. My take on the current situation is that (certainly if Lemphane is lost as threatened by the article) PRG is valueless ATM. We have nothing, no assets and a small debt. Now my view is that the only value we have in this company is PM and the team. It is not as if (as is often the case on aim) we have a managment team with minimal skin in the game looking to run a company down the drain for it assets to be picked up by friends for nothing. We have a CEO with considerable interest in the sucess of PRG, however there must come a point if shareholders become too troublesome for that holding to look like a price worth paying for a simpler life. Afterall if PM is able to secure Mothae and Lemphane at this point in time it is likely to be at a huge discount to what was being considered in the summer, it may on balance be an easier route for him. So my view is we should support PM to deliver not try and drive a wedge between himself and the small PI's. I may be wrong but I see little point in fighting this and only wait in hope PM delivers by his words when he took over. Dispite his lack of sucess all the signs are is he has done what he has in our best interest in a very difficult market. PRG was my largest holding and the core to a devastated portfolio so I say this with a significant interest in its sucess.
Having received our first circular email I can say it was very informative and I can see how the group could help our cause. It also makes this stressful situation a bit better knowing there are others in the same boat.I can strongly recommend anyone who has not joined yet to do so.The more members we have more influence we may have. Thank you clever sheep for organising this.GLA
Thanks to all for your sign-ups! I'm at work for my day job at the moment, so fallen behind a little on acknowledgements. I will catch up tonight, so keep the sign-ups coming, and pass the word! (paragon@73east.com, please include lse username and number of shares held). We're up to about 15 members now but I will do a full tally tonight and report. Thanks, CS. Fast_ted, yes, I got yours.
Hi CS, Email sent. As others I won't be able to attend the meeting but would appreciate any update those that do attend can provide. GLA Ted
