Just sitting on my hands... with that sort of volume and the RSi still low it is all to play for next week when the mist clears.
It was straight after the redemption RNS.
Nope the real moves happened at 1pm so the Barenberg release is highly likely
Short and sweet, but I’ll take it happily anyway, as the actress said to the bishop.
Or dividend crazy for a company that is rated A-/BBB+ for sub debt.
Calling in Tier 2 subordinated bond sounds like a confident move.
We are heading for the highest volume day of trading since December 2022....
Massive increase in volume since 2.38pm
Whats going on, is this really just a broker upgrade?
Takeover bingo, new game?
A takeover? Well as DJ Pied Piper said, I'm lovin it, loving it, loving it!
The great thing about today is that it has taken out a lot of trading positions both long and short.. With the UT trade to come it will be the highest volume since 2020 and for me; it ruddy bullish for the next few weeks. DYOR
Certainly the gap to 540 looks doable soon now.
Don’t think this is the early redemption. Market didn’t react when RNS was posted.
Remember when there were takeover rumours with MNG (I hold). I said then that PHNx would be the likely target. It doesn’t have the AUM flow issues. It’s a lift and shift and rebrand. Just like we have done with likes of standard life. Very straightforward.
I also explained the huge cost savings to be had here from AI. I don’t think the market has got anywhere near appreciating that.
The AI bots using voice recognition and intuitive searches and questioning plus written responses are proving better than humans. It’s why solicitors are also terrified. I mean come on there is really not much to basic conveyancing outside pooling and reviewing data.
The solicitors just deal with complex stuff and system generated alerts.
I have worked with this tech and can see its potential. We really are on the cusp of another digital revolution!
These comps will soon be significantly reducing their overheads using AI.

Excellent news. Will be keeping an eye out for anything in the media over the long weekend.
Also US jobs report came out way before the rise. Don think it’s that either.
Could be a combo of us jobs, Fed dovishness, broker note and some published media rumour.
Seems a bit much for just oversold as well at least in this one session!
Still +10% yield though!
Guess we’ll find out soon enough!

Usually the SP would always fa sudden spike
Sorry, summit too early by mistake...
Usually the SP always will fall back after a sudden spike. So, I took the opportunity and sold @524.5.
Will buy my shares back when it settles down later.
Seen-it... I did the same before GCP divi day last week as the last three times the ex divi day went badly and led to solid selling. Guess what this week it didn't it held the level... things are changing in the market that is for sure and with a £3m UT trade to close higher than the ask; this has legs (i hope)
Yes deepjoy, I also like selling shares before they go ex-dividend as well. Most of the time, the drop will be bigger than the dividend. Buying them back afterwards usually is a little better off than staying to take the payout.😂😂😂
Well, most of the time, only always, lol. 😂 😂 😂
Legal & General is touted for its dividends and you can just about guarantee it will drop by more than the dividend. At least more often than not.
